Angelina (Lena) Malvasi (nee Guerere), 83, of Hammonton died on Monday, June 16, 2003 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center.
Born in Hammonton, she was a life long resident. Mrs. Malvasi retired in 1985 after 19 years from the production department of the Whitehall Laboratories Inc. AHP Div. Hammonton.
Predeceased by husband, Charles A. Sr. Surviving her are: sons, Charles A. of Hammonton, Donald of Cherry Hill; sister, Rose Guerere of Hammonton; granddaughter, Christine Malvasi of Ventnor.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing tonight from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. or Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Landolfi Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph RC Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Rafael Padilla
Rafael Padilla, 68, of Hammonton, died June 14, at his residence.
Born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, he lived in Hammonton for more than 25 years. He worked as a machinist for over 25 years in the northern New Jersey area. For the last 25 years he worked as a project manager for many properties in the Atlantic Co. area and most recently with the MarJor Apartments in Hammonton. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and was an avid NY Mets fan.
Surviving him are: wife, Rosa (nee Torres); sons, Ralph with wife Elba of Pittsgrove, Ray Aquino with wife Joni of Hammonton; three brothers; four sisters; grandchildren, Ryan, Ray, Gabriella Padilla, Courtney, Chelsea Aquino.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial today at 9:30 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Church, S. Egg Harbor Road, followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Dominic Angello
Dominic Angello, 81, of Hammonton died Tuesday, June 24, at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Angello was a graduate of Hammonton High School Class of 1940. Before retiring he was the owner and operator of Angello's Grocery and Liquor Store in Hammonton. Mr. Angello was a member of the Hammonton Exchange Club since 1971 where he formerly served as treasurer. In 2002 the Exchange Club honored him with the Distinguished Service Award.
Predeceased by: wife, Dorothy; brother, James. Surviving him are: sons, Domenic with wife Patricia of Brigantine, Joseph with wife Donna; daughters, Dorothy Angello with friend Charlie Macri, Joanne Mangano with husband Michael, Helen Bell with husband Eric all of Hammonton; grandchildren, Domenic Angello III, Nicholas Angello, Pamela Angello, Emily Jo Angello, Michael Mangano Jr., Deanna Mangano, Nathan Bell, Jacob Bell; brother, Anthony Angello of Hammonton; sisters, Annie Caruso of Hammonton, Theresa Farina, Genevieve Angello both of Silver Springs, Md., Edna Donahue of Columbus, Marie Warner of Bethesda, Md., Delores Anderson of Reston, Va. Matthew D. Caruso
Matthew D. Caruso Sr., 92, died Friday, June 27, 2003 in Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Cherry Hill.
Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Caruso and his wife owned and operated the M & B Cleaners in Hammonton from 1945-1975. He was a member of the Hammonton Police Reserve, a former member and past president of the Hammonton Moose Lodge, a member of the Diamond Social Club in Vineland, and was also a counselor for the 4-H Club.
Surviving him are: wife of 65 years, Anna (nee Angello); sons, Don with wife Gracianne of Ambler, Penn., Matthew Jr. with wife Marie Joan of Hammonton, Joseph of Hammonton, Robert with wife Nancy of Williamstown; grandchildren, Matthew Philip, Gracianne, Anna Marie, Matthew III, Joe, Nicholas, Heath, Randy, Robyn, Justin, Steven; great grandchildren, Lauren, Amanda, Alexander, Katelyn, Joseph; sisters, Mildred Angelo of Monmouth County, Angelina Cuculo of Hammonton; brother, John of Lincroft.

Grace Jacobs
Grace Jacobs (nee Attore), 96, of Hammonton, died Monday, June 30, at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident. Before retiring Mrs. Jacobs worked as a machine operator for Crown Pants Company in Hammonton. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Worker’s Union and St. Joseph’s R.C. Church.
Predeceased by: husband, Samuel. Surviving her are: sisters, Mary Lagroteria of Hammonton, Kathryn Conte of Elm; brother, John Attore of Hammonton; nieces, Josephine Salvo with husband Joe, Barbara Krueger all of Hammonton; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing today from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church followed by burial at Greenmount Cemetery.

Anita Bader
Anita Bader (nee Jarolle), 71, of Hammonton died Saturday, June 28, 2003.
Born in Camden, she lived in Hammonton most of her life. She was a hairdresser in Hammonton with her good friend, Ann Mazzo and in Egg Harbor City. While living in Mays Landing, she was part owner of the Mill Street Pub. She also worked as head of cafeteria operations at Collective Bank. After her retirement, she taught pinochle at the Hammonton Senior Center and wrote and published poetry online.
Surviving her are: daughters, Valorie Bader with husband Mark Freed of Santa Rosa, Calif., Gina Bader of Chicago; son, Raymond Bader with wife Line of Nesco; granddaughter, Jennifer Murray; great granddaughter, Kalyn Guenther.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on July 3, at St. Nicholas Church followed by Interment at Egg Harbor City Cemetery.

John F. Pagano
John F. Pagano, 83, of Hammonton, died July 6, at Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hammonton, he attended Hammonton Schools. He entered the US Army on February 23, 1942 serving as a Corporal Switchboard in Corporal Company “B 1721” Signal Service Battalion. He was honorable discharged on November 3, 1945. He joined the Hammonton Police Department where he served a short term. He was last employed as a presser with the Amalgamated Clothing Workers. Mr. Pagano served on the Amalgamated Executive Board for five years prior to his retirement.
Predeceased by: parents, Frank and Anna (nee Pitale); sister, Grace Amedio. Surviving him are: wife of 62 years, Phyllis (nee Moffa); daughter, Barbara; brother in law, Anthony (Tony) Amedio; sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins.

Pasquale J. Fiorentino
Pasquale J. Fiorentino, 78, of Hammonton, died Monday, July 7, at Community Medical Center in Toms River.
Born in New York City, Mr. Fiorentino was a longtime resident of the Hammonton area. Before retiring he was an examiner for Hammonton Park Clothes. He was a member of the A.C.T.W.U. Local No. 217. Mr. Fiorentino was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran of World War II.
Predeceased by wife, Lillie Fiorentino. Surviving him are: daughter, Nancy Price with husband Barry of Galloway Twp.; sons, Pat Fiorentino with wife Peggy of Vineland, John Fiorentino with wife Sherry of Hammonton, Mark Fiorentino with wife Gloria of Hammonton; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing July 9 at the Carnesale Funeral Home. It was followed by a funeral. Burial services were held at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor.

Edna M. Grant
Edna M. Grant (nee Meade), 73, of Hammonton, died Wednesday, July 9, at the Cooper Medical Center as a result of an auto accident on July 3, at White Horse Pike & Blueberry Crossing Shopping Center.
Born in Elwood, she lived in Hammonton most of her life. She retired in 1996 as a nurse’s aide after 12 years at The Greenbriar Nursing Center. Edna loved all wild or stray animals and many times gave them food and shelter.
Predeceased by husband, Harold R. Grant. Surviving her are: sons, Howard and wife Sandra of Pitman, David of Hammonton; brothers, Raymond Meade of Florida, George Meade of Mays Landing; sisters, Helen Hummel of Waterford Works, Charlotte Chatten of Hammonton, Diane Kendall of Hammonton; grandchildren, Tammy, Leilani, Nicole, Danielle Grant.
Friends and relatives attended funeral services on July 11, at 9:30 a.m. at the Landolfi Funeral Home. Interment was private at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Rita F. Ransom (nee Elfrey), 75, of Hammonton, died Friday, July 11, at Cooper Medical Center, Camden.
Born in Clementon, she was a lifelong South Jersey resident.
Surviving her are: daughter, Ann Ransom with companion Joe Carr of Hammonton; sons, Kevin Ransom with companion Michael Davis of Elm, Keith Ransom of Hammonton; brother, Richard Elfrey with wife Doris of Houston; sisters, Jean Nelson of Haddon Heights, Marjorie Staropoli of Williamstown; Mary Norcross with husband Edward of Williamstown, Rhe Gurterich with husband Robert of Va.; grandsons, Bryan and Frankie Ransom.

Anna Lalka
Anna Lalka (nee Selep), 84, of Elmtowne, died Saturday, July 12, at her residence.
Born in Oliver, Penn., she was raised in Hniezdne, Slovakia. She returned to the U.S. in 1937 and married on June 5, 1943 in St. John Nepomucine, Slovak Church, in New York City. Anna moved to Atco in 1959 and into Elmtowne in 1987. She was a retired seamstress for Atco Knitting Mill for over 20 years.
Surviving her are: husband, Stephen J.; sons, Stephen F. with wife Carol of Birminham, MI, George K. of Voorhees, Joseph P. with wife Teresa of Chatam, NY; daughters, Nancy Longo with husband Jeff, Sr. of Hammonton, Victoria Tauer with husband Charles of Minnetonka, MN; dear sister of Andrew Selep of White Fish Bay, WI, Viktor Selep and Jan Selep both of Hniezdne, Slovakia; grandchildren, Brian and Emily Tauer, Linda Menne, Susan, Kelsey, Nicole and Michael Lalka, Carolyn Waidelich, Jeffrey Jr., Matthew and Kevin Longo; great grandchildren, Sydney Menne, William Waidelich, Brett Longo.

Theresa M. Perone
Theresa M. Perone (nee Lisi), 80, of Hammonton, died Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at home.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident there. Before retiring Mrs. Perone was the co-owner and operator of Lakeview Garage Inc. in Hammonton, which she started in 1948 with her late husband Nicholas J. Perone Sr. Mrs. Perone was a member and lifelong supporter of the Deborah Hospital Foundation – Hammonton Chapter, and the American Legion Post No. 186 Ladies Auxiliary.
Predeceased by: husband, Nicholas. Surviving her are: sons, Girard with wife Carol of Jacksonville, Nicholas Jr. with wife Cheryl of Hammonton, Samuel with wife Kathy of Monmouth Beach, David with wife Michelle of Hammonton; sister, Marion Salvatore of Hammonton; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
