John A. Kennedy
John A. Kennedy, 89, of Sweetwater, died Sunday, July 13, at Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hell’s Kitchen, NY, “Jack” was raised in Fort Lee and lived in Dumont for 43 years before retiring on the Mullica River 10 years ago. For many years he was employed by Consolidated Film Corporation and was a member of Union Local 702, Motion Picture Laboratory Technicians. He retired from the Micro Film Corporation of America, a subsidiary of the New York Times in 1979. Mr. Kennedy served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a 56 year continuous member of the American Legion Post 272, Norwood, NJ. He was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Hammonton.
Surviving him are: wife of 55 years, Florence “Effie” (nee Becker), children, Kathleen of Warren, Mary Amelia of New York, John of Hewitt, grandchildren, Kate, M. Henry, Emily Martuscello, Colton McKinnon.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Friday, July 18, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Dumont followed by interment at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Mr. Kennedy’s memory to Kessler Memorial Hospital, 600 S. White Horse Pike, Hammonton, NJ 08037 or “Trust for Madison Rabush” in care of Alesia Shute, Sweetwater Casino, 2870 7th Avenue, Sweetwater, NJ 08038-7609.

Francis F. Carrow
Francis F. Carrow, 85, of Wilmington, died peacefully at home on Thursday, July 17, 2003.
Mr. Carrow was born on December 4, 1917 in Centreville, Del. He graduated from P.S. DuPont High School in 1936 and attended the Drexel Institute of Technology. He worked for the DuPont Company for 42 years, first at the Newport site and later at the Chestnut Run site, retiring in 1979. In his retirement he enjoyed travel, gardening and winters in Florida.
Predecease by parents, Frank Maloney Carrow and Anna Rose (Jacobi) Carrow. Surviving him are: wife of 55 years, Lillian (nee Crowell Carrow); sons, John Roemer Carrow of Newark, Del., Robert Crowell Carrow with wife Perrie of Newark, Del.; grandchildren, William David Carrow and Christine Ann Carrow of Newark.
The funeral service and burial was private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810.

Charles Baldi
Charles D. Baldi, 84, of Hammonton died Tuesday, July 22, at William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Millville, he was a lifelong Hammonton resident. Mr. Baldi was a US Army Veteran of World War II. Before retiring, he worked as a fork lift operator in the batch house at Kimble Glass in Vineland. Mr. Baldi was an avid hunter and fisherman. He served as President of the Gossameres Gun Club of Hammonton.
Surviving him are: wife of 65 years, Anna M. Baldi (nee Antico) of Hammonton; son, Charles A. Baldi Sr. with wife Charlene of Hammonton; daughter, Barbara Ann Blankenship of Collings Lakes; grandchildren, James Blankenship with wife Mary of Washington Twp., Charles A. Baldi Jr. with wife Tina, Dawn Baldi, Toni Ann Mazza with husband Nicky, Damon Baldi, all of Hammonton; great grandchildren, James, Heather, Jeffrey, Victoria, Domenic, Louis, Charles, Erica, Jaclyn, Hailey; nephew, James Baldi with wife Camille and their daughter, Jessica, all of Medford Lakes.
Friends and relatives attended funeral services Friday, July 25, at Carnesale Funeral Home followed by burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Jean Siegfried
Jean Siegfried (nee Ferrigno), 52, of Beesley’s Point died Tuesday, July 22, from injuries sustained in a tragic accident at the Ocean City Intermediate School.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong South Jersey resident. Mrs. Seigfried was a custodian at the Ocean City Intermediate School.
Surviving her are: husband, Stephen R. Siegfried of Beesley’s Point; daughter, Shannon Mature with husband Nicholas of Hammonton; son, Raymond D. Effinger of Hammonton; sisters, Carol Effinger with husband Al of Folsom, Mary Ann Ferrigno of Hammonton; Karen Ammirato with husband Mike of Hammonton; stepsons, Shane Siegfried, Michael Siegfried; grandsons, Thomas J. Mature, R.J. Effinger.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 26, at St. Martin De Porres RC Church followed by burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Irving Blake
Irving L. Blake, 77, of the Elm section of Winslow Twp., died Monday, July 14, at home.
Born in Red Bank, he lived in Elm most of his life. He retired from the Atlantic City Expressway as a toll collector. He also worked as an insurance manager for Progressive Life Co. for more than 30 years. He served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII. He was a member of the Winslow United Methodist Church.
Predeceased by wife, Helen Petersen. Surviving him are: son, Basil Blake of Las Vegas; granddaughter, Debra Gilbert; many nieces and nephew.

Frances A. Zara
Frances A. Zara, 83, of Hammonton died Sunday, July 27, 2003 in The Heritage Assisted Living Facility in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong South Jersey resident. Ms. Zara was a secretary for the New Jersey State Police in Hammonton and also for RCA in Camden.
Surviving her are: brother-in-law, William DeStefano of Hammonton; brother, Alfred Zara.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing today at 8 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s RC Church. Entombment will be in New St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bellmawr.

John B. DiDonato
John B. DiDonato, 75, of Fort Myers, died on Wednesday, July 30, 2003.
Mr. DiDonato has born in Philadelphia and resided in Hammonton prior to moving to Florida in 1972. He was instrumental in starting DiDonato’s Bowling Center with his brother, Tip, in 1952. John was known throughout the South Jersey area for his humor and witty ways. He was always willing to help anyone. John will be remembered for his love of sports. He was a pitcher in high school and also pitched for the semi-pro teams, Hammonton Peaches and Sunny Cut Rite Team of Philadelphia.
Surviving him are: wife, Enid; stepsons, Gary Tipton with wife Kathy, Steve Tipton with wife Terri, Bruce Tipton with wife Leslie, all of Florida; brother, Tip DiDonato with wife Phyllis of Hammonton; sister, Mary Jane Short with husband Glenn of Florida; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Robert E. Heath Memorial Home of Fort Myers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hammonton Rescue Squad, 300 S. Egg Harbor Road, Hammonton, NJ 08037, or to the charity of your choice.
Johnnie Jackson
Johnnie Jackson, 72, of Hammonton died Friday, August 1, at Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Fort Valley, Ga., he was an area resident for the last 50 years. He was a retired truck driver for over 45 years with the Donio Trucking Co., Winslow.
Surviving him are: wife, Lillie (nee Johnson); sons, John of Atlantic City, Michael of Hammonton, Johnnie of Bedford, Texas; daughters, Leanne Parker of Ft. Lauderdale, Peggy Parker, Robin Barbain, Yuanita Spellman, all of Mays Landing, Shirley Parker, Twanna Jackson, of Hammonton; brother, Jessie Jackson of Pleasantville; sister, Clara Belvin of Vineland; 15 grandchildren.

Angelina Maimone
Angelina Maimone (nee D’Agostino), 86, of Hammonton died Sunday, August 3, 2003 at her residence. Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Hammonton since 1932.
Predeceased by husband, John. Surviving her are: daughter, Karoll Pinto with husband Gino; son, Angelo “Buddy” Maimone all of Hammonton; brother, Joseph D’Agostino; sisters, Marie Hedrick, Margaret Balick, Jay McNutt, Jean Banazak all of Wilmington; grandchildren, David Maimone, Darren Maimone, Michaelangelo Pinto, John Pinto, Maria Pinto, Deanna Falcone; eight great grandchildren.

John J. Andaloro
John J. Andaloro, 46, of Hammonton died suddenly on Friday, August 1, 2003.
Born and raised in Westville Grove, he received his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Joseph’s University and earned his Master’s Degree and M.B.A. in Business Administration from Drexel University. John was a Certified Public Accountant in his own practice and recently joined Sand’s Casino in Atlantic City in their accounting department. He was a member of the New Jersey Cerebral Palsy Fund Raising Committee and the Lindenwold Lions Club. He will be remembered as being a loving, caring, hard working man who was dedicated to his family.
Predeceased by: father, Joseph F. Andaloro. Surviving him are: mother, Mary Andaloro; fiancee, Marcella Moore; daughter, Mary Theresa; and anticipated set of twins; stepchildren, Robert & Marlene; sisters, Josie Gazzola, Madeline Andaloro; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephew.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on August 6 at Most Holy Redeemer RC Church, Westville Grove. Entombment followed at New Saint Mary’s Mausoleum, Bellmawr.

Margaret Edith Combs
Margaret Edith Combs, 71, of Hammonton died Wednesday, August 6, 2003 in Medford Care Center, Medford.
Born in Elm, she was lifelong South Jersey resident. Mrs. Combs was a retired machine operator for Kessler Clothing Co., and she also worked as a certified nurse’s aide at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Hammonton. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union.
Surviving her are: husband, Carl Combs of Hammonton; son, Roger Combs with wife Mary of Hammonton; brothers, Sam LeMunyon of Indian Mills, Robert LeMunyon of New Egypt; grandchildren, Samantha and Michael Combs.

Joseph J. Pistone Sr.
Joseph J. Pistone Sr., 81, of Hammonton, died Friday, August 8, 2003 at Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hammonton, he was an area resident all his life. He retired in 1981 from Coca-Cola after 27 years of service. He was a Veteran of WWII US Navy.
Predeceased by wife, Mary. Surviving him are: sons, Rick with wife Sandy of Atco, Joseph Jr. with wife Janice, Robert with wife Christine all of Hammonton, sister Frances Green, of Las Vegas; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren.

David D. Santora
Daniel D. Santora Sr., 83, of Hammonton died Saturday at his residence.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Santora was a retired meat cutter for the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. He also owned and operated Santora’s Store in Rosedale. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Santora was a member of the Meat Cutters Union Local 56, a member of the Hammonton VFW Post 1026, and an associate member of the National Aeronautics Association.
Surviving him are: wife of 57 years, Josephine B. (nee Gregori) of Hammonton; sons, Rocco T. Santora, Esq. with wife Ursula of Hammonton, Daniel D. Santora Jr. of Ocean City, Mark Santora of Hammonton; daughter, Kathleen J. “Katie” Mock with fiancé Robert L. Benner Sr. of Mullica Twp.; sister, Katherine Augustine of Mays Landing; grandchildren, Rocco T. Santora Jr., Michael D. Santora, Christopher A. Santora, John H.
