Josephine Rubba
Josephine Rubba (nee Mascio), 88, of Hammonton died Thursday, August 21, 2003 peacefully in her sleep at home. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends during her last days.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident. She was employed by Romolo’s Pants Factory in Hammonton for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Worker’s Union, the Hammonton Senior Citizens, and St. Joseph’s R.C. Church.
Predeceased by husband, Norman Rubba. Surviving her are: daughters, Loretta Dobbs of Hammonton, Jean Cochrane of Folsom; grandchildren, Sharon Harrison with husband Otto of Devonshire, Janice DeAnnuntis with husband Jeff of California, Brenda Diven with companion Paul of Tuckerton, Eddie Cochrane with companion Michelle of Folsom, Lori Ann Cochrane with companion John of Collings Lakes; 16 great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Santora formerly of Hammonton; sister-in-law, Lillian Cassetta of Hammonton; many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, August 25, at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church followed by burial at Greenmount Cemetery.

Anna Martilini
Anna Martilini (Rodio), 81, of Egg Harbor, died Thursday in William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Winslow, she lived in Egg Harbor for 10 years. She was a kitchen aide for the Folsom School District, a volunteer for the Green Thumb Program at Kessler Hospital and was a member of the Egg Harbor Baptist Church.
Surviving her are: sons, Andrew Martilini and wife Joann of Galloway Twp., Bob Martilini and wife Sherry of Hammonton; brother, Rocco Policarpo of Mays Landing; sisters, Florence Watson and Angie Bogan both of Winslow and Louise Fiore of Hammonton; grandchildren, Lauren, Aubrey, and Kristen Martilini and Alyssa Totoro.
Services were held on Monday, September 1 at Carnesale Funeral home followed by burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Maria Velazquez
Maria Velazquez (Soto), 73, of Hammonton, died Sunday, August 31, at her residence.
Born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico she moved to Hammonton over 45 years ago. Velazquez was a homemaker and an active member of St. Joseph Church.
Surviving her are: husband, Luis Velazquez; sons Luis Velazquez of Rancho Palace Verdes, Calif., Donny Velazquez and wife Jane of Hammonton; daughters Daisy Velazquez, Diana Baitinger and husband John, all from Mays Landing; brother Jose Soto of New York, NY; sisters Emma Soto of Bronx, NY, Lydia Santos and Ana Arce both of Manhattan, NY; grandchildren Brittany and Ryan Baitinger.
Relatives and friends attended a viewing today, September 3, at 9 a.m. at Marinella Funeral Home followed by Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church.

Mary Romano
Mary Romano, 83, of Hammonton, died Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at the Kessler Memorial Hospital, Hammonton.
Born in Camden, she was a resident of Hammonton the past 16 years. She was a medical secretary from 1966 until she retired in 1985 in the pediatric unit of Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital, Camden. Mary enjoyed going out to eat at various establishments for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. She loved talking on the telephone to family and friends, and was an excellent cook at home with her son with whom she resided.
Surviving her are: son, Bernard M. Romano of Hammonton; sister, Helen Renzi of Hammonton.
Relatives and friends attended a Memorial Mass on Saturday, August 16, at St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.

Agnes Tomasello, 81, of Hammonton died Wednesday, August 27, in Greenbriar Nursing Center.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in this area for many years.

Born in Comerio, Puerto Rico, he lived in this area for many years. Mr. Santiago was a laborer for C & E Canners of Folsom.

Jeanne V. Banff, 64, of Folsom died Monday, September 8, at William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Atlantic City, she was a resident of Folsom for 31 years. Mrs. Banff was an original member of the Collings Lakes Rescue Squad.
Surviving her are: husband, George W. Banff Jr. of Folsom; sons, Robert Ogle and wife Debra of Egg Harbor Twp., Donald Ogle and wife Karen of Chatsworth, Ronald Ogle and wife Jacquie of Shamong Twp., George W. Mildred L. Berge, 77, of Hammonton, died Wednesday, September 10, at the Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Carlstadt and formerly of Land of Lakes, Fla., she lived in Hammonton the past six years. She was retired after 25 years of employment at the Becton-Dickinson Pharmaceutic Co. of Franklin Lakes. She graduated from the East Rutherford High School.
Surviving her are: sister, Helen Bastian of St. Petersburg, Fla.; niece with whom she lived, Patricia Currie; nephew, Walter J. Currie of Ortley Beach; along with other nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended graveside services Monday, September 15, at the George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in Paramus.

Pasquale Paul DiMeo
Pasquale Paul DiMeo, 84, of Timonium, Md. and formerly of Hammonton, died Friday, September 12, in Stella Maris Nursing Home.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of South Jersey for many years. Mr. DiMeo was a member of the Army of World War II, and he was a member of the F.A. Funston Post 186 of the American Legion.
Surviving him are: daughter, Maryann and husband Anthony of Reistertown, Md.; sisters, Ann Caputo of Marlton, Rose Inferrera of Hammonton, Sabina Basile of Vineland; two grandchildren.

Born in Hammonton, she was an area resident all her life.
Predeceased by husband, Anthony. Surviving her are: son, John and wife Peggy of Hammonton; grandchildren, Kevin Rizzotte, Matthew Rizzotte, John Wiese, Douglas Wiese; two great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Margaret J. Lucca, Frances Crea, Anna Williams, Jeanette (Frank) DeMayo.

Born in Elm, she was a life long resident.
She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and the Hammonton Senior Citizens.
Surviving her are: son, John Andrew James of Fayetteville, NC; daughter, Tammy L. Parker of Clinton, Tenn.; sisters, Rose M. Csisack of Toms River, Louise Catona of Barrington, Phyllis DeMarco of Hammonton.

John "Jack" Richardson
John “Jack” Richardson, 66, of Hammonton died Saturday, September 6, at William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Camden, he was a Hammonton resident for many years. He retired from Whitehall Laboratories in Hammonton where he was a forklift operator. Richardson was an avid fisherman.
Surviving him are: sons, John Richardson Jr. of Hammonton, Dan Richardson and companion Carol of Sicklerville, Bruce Richardson of Hammonton, Jeff Richardson and wife Christina of NC; daughter, Patti Williamson and husband Ed of Pomona; grandchildren, Bruce, Kelly, Eddie, Johanna, Jaclyn, Brittany, Jeffrey; brothers, Hans Richardson of Md., Jim Richardson of Cherry Hill, Lou Richardson of Roselyn, Penn.; many nieces, nephews, friends, and his dog, Bingo.
