Bertha H. Siscone
Bertha H. Siscone (nee Juliano) of Hammonton died Friday, November 7, 2003 at William B. Kessler Hospital.
Born in Hammonton, she was an area resident all her life. She was a graduate of Hammonton High School Class of 1945 and was a purchasing agent for Douglass Industries in Egg Harbor for 20 years. Prior to that she worked many years as an administrative assistant for W.B. Kessler Clothing in Hammonton. Bertha was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her home. Her wish was to be well enough to return to her home as she battled her illness. Her favorite activity was reading.
Surviving her are: husband, Frank; son, David; sisters, Virginia Miehl of Hammonton, Marie Durriden of Haddonfield; brother, Richard Juliano of Daytona Beach; as well as many loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Hammonton Rescue Squad, 300 S. Egg Harbor Road, Hammonton, NJ 08037.

Esther Valentino
Esther Valentino (nee Tomasino), 87, of Hammonton died Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at Kessler Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident. She worked as a machine operator for many local clothing firms.
Surviving her are: sons, David Valentino of Hallandale, Fla., Joseph Valentino of Houston; daughter, Lois Parkkonen of Hammonton; brother, Joseph Tomasino of Hammonton; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, November 8, at St. Joseph Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

William J. Gantner
William J. Gantner, 89, formerly of Hammonton, Egg Harbor, and Jersey City, died Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at the Nyack Hospital, Nyack, NY.
Born in the Bronx, he was a resident of the Northern Riverview Healthcare Center, Haverstraw, NY since 1997. He was a welder and owned the Gantner and Sons Mechanical Co. in Hammonton and retired in 1972. Mr. Gantner was formerly president of the Holy Name Society of All Saints Church, Jersey City, President of St. Nicholas PTA in Egg Harbor City, and member of St. Martin de Porres Church in Hammonton. He was also a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Union Local #322 in Winslow.
Predeceased by wife, Catherine. Surviving him are daughters, Justine Sinnott of Glassboro, Camilla A. Dunn of Stoney Point, NY, Catherine M. Nardi of Millford, Pa., Dr. Clare E. Martell of Cherry Hill, Phyllis E. Grasso of Hammonton, Jane E. Gantner of Chicago; sons, Phillip E. of Cherry Hill, James F. of Williamstown, Mark A. of Chicago, Paul T. of Calif.; 34 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 1, 2003 at St. Martin de Porres Church.

Stephan J. Clements
Stephana J. Clements (nee Farren), 95, of Hammonton died Saturday, November 15, 2003 at West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Hammonton for more than 72 years. She retired in 1975 as a tax collector for the town of Hammonton. She attended Mullica Twp. Elementary School and Hammonton High School. She was a former member of the St. Martin de Porres Church Choir, W.B. Kessler Memorial Hospital Ladies Aux. and the Hammonton Senior Citizens.
She was a Gold Star wife predeceased by her husband T/Sgt. William A. Clements who was killed in action on November 3, 1944 on Leyte Island, Philippines. Also predeceased by brother, Stanley Farren; sisters Bernice Logiovino, Caroline Caggiano. Surviving her are: brother, Alex Farren with his wife Stella of Hammonton; sister, Elizabeth Ripple of Haddonfield; many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing today at 9:30 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Egg Harbor City Cemetery.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Hammonton Rescue Squad, 300 S. Egg Harbor Road, Hammonton, NJ 08037.

Ruth C. Daniels
Ruth C. Daniels (nee Jaggard), 69, of Blue Anchor died Sunday, November 16, 2003 at West Jersey Hospital, Berlin.
Born in Clementon, she was an area resident for 50 years. She owned and operated the Cedar Chest Doll Shop in Blue Anchor. She was a graduate of Lower Camden County Regional High School Class of 1952 and was a former member of the Lower Camden County School Board and a member of the dispute committee of Winslow Township.
Surviving her are: husband, Albert F. Sr.; son, Albert F. Jr. and his wife Susan of Hammonton; daughter, Kathleen Johnson of S. Deerfield, Mass. and her husband David; sister, Roberta Crowthers of Cortez, Calif.; grandchildren, Lauren, Albert III, Gina Daniels, Sarah A. and Laura Johnson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing will be held on November 20 after 6:30 p.m. at Marinella Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on on November 21, at St. Lucy Church in Blue Anchor at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cedar Brook.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted for Blessed John 23rd Building Fund, 250 Rt. 73 S., Blue Anchor, NJ 08037.

Fiorenzo Garbero
Fiorenzo Garbero, 88, of Hammonton died November 10, 2003 at Kessler Hospital.
Born in Torino, Italy, he lived in Hammonton and Elm since 1972. He retired from Pace Maker Boat Co. in Lower Bank after ten years as a carpenter. He served in the Italian Army during WWII.
Predeceased by: wife, Fiorenza (nee Melchiorre). Surviving him are: son, Leonard Garbero and his wife Renee of Elm; grandchildren, Leonard and Nicolette Garbero.
Relatives and friends attended Mass on Friday, November 14, at St. Joseph Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Joseph L. Miranda
Joseph L. Miranda, 29, of Voorhees died Sunday, November 16, 2003 at Virtua Hospital, Voorhees.
Born in Atlantic City, he lived in Voorhees the last few years.
Surviving him are: mother, Cheryl of Voorhees; brother, William of Voorhees; sisters, Jennifer Fedga of Hammonton and her husband Jim, Dawn Miranda of Atlantic City, Jamie Cruz of Atlantic City; maternal grandmother, Lois Layden of Voorhees; paternal grandparents, Dario and Ramonita Miranda Diaz of Pleasantville. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing today at 11:30 a.m. with service following at 1 p.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home. Interment at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Mays Landing.

Frank P. VanKeuren Jr.
Frank P. VanKeuren Jr., 40, of Millville died Saturday, November 8, 2003.
Born and raised in Elmer, he lived in Millville the past six months. He was an independent truck driver. He previously worked for Salem Machine in Salem and Airwork in Millville. He graduated in 1982 from Schalick High School. He loved all outdoor sports including riding motorcycles.
Predeceased by: father, Frank P. VanKeuren Sr. Surviving him are: son, Jason Daniel VanKeuren; daughter, Melissa Lee VanKeuren both of Centerton; mother, Shirley P. VanKeuren of Millville; sister, JoAnne Sunder of Galloway Twp.; uncles, John VanKeuren of Woodstown, Joe Zirillo; aunt, Barbara Sacco both of Hammonton; great aunt, Eleanor VanKeuren of Vineland.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services Monday, November 17 at the Marinella Funeral Home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Jacqueline R. Vaughn
Jacqueline R. Vaughn, 66, of Hammonton died Thursday, November 13, at her daughter’s home in Tabernacle.
Born in Pottstown, she lived in Hammonton for 45 years. Mrs. Vaughn was an insurance agent with M.L. Ruberton of Hammonton.
Surviving her are: husband, Wesley E. Vaughn III; daughter, Cindy Dauria and her husband Thomas of Tabernacle; son, Wesley S. Vaughn of Long Branch; brother, G. Scott Thorn of Elkton, Md.; grandchildren, Emily Dauria, Kayla Dauria, Patrick Dauria, Travis Dauria; nieces, Tracey Hepbron, Susan Lavin.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Monday, November 17, at the Carnesale Funeral Home followed by burial in Greenmount Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Popcorn Park Petting Zoo and Humane Society, Humane Way, Forked River, NJ 08731.
