Henry H. Fowler, 83, of Elmtowne died Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center in Hammonton.
Born in Woodbury, he lived in Clementon before moving to Elmtowne. He was employed by the Frankford Arsenal as an environmental specialist for 36 years until his retirement in 1977. He was a Chief Machinists Mate in the United States Navy and served in the North African Invasion and Battle of Algiers during WWII. He also served with the Naval Reserves during the Cuban Crisis. Mr. Fowler was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association #57 of Gloucester County and the American Legion Post #398 of Elm.
Surviving him are: wife, Ruth (nee Greenwood); daughter, Bonnie Fowler of Woodbine; sister, Katherine Hood of Ft. Pierce, Fla.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services Friday, September 17 at the Marinella Funeral Home followed by Interment at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery.

Margaret A. Giardino (nee Rodio), 76, of Hammonton died Friday, September 17, 2004 at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Rosedale, she was a lifelong area resident. Margaret was a former waitress for the former Scaffidi Diner and the Silver Coin Diner. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and playing cards.
Predeceased by: husband, Michael P. Surviving her are: son, Michael J. Giardino and his wife Josephine; daughter, Carol Ann Clements and her husband Jack all of Hammonton; brothers, Eugene Rodio of Williamstown, Louis Rodio of Hammonton, Pat Rodio of Hammonton; grandchildren, Rita Ann Black and her husband Todd, Michael P. Giardino and his fiancée Missy, Kimberly Clements, Kelly Clements, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Frances A. Gazzara (nee Pierce), 78, of Hammonton died Saturday, September 18, 2004 at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Camden, she was a resident of Hammonton for 57 years. Before retiring, Mrs. Gazzara worked as a school aide at the Hammonton Elementary School. She was a member of the Hammonton Senior Citizens, St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, and its Rosary Society. She was also a volunteer at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Predeceased by: husband, Joseph L. Gazzara Sr. of Placerville, Calif., James C. Gazzara and his wife Daisy of Hammonton; daughter, Kathleen M. Gazzara of Hammonton; grandchildren, Elena Frances Gazzara, Jessica Ann Gazzara-Taylor both of Hammonton.

Mildred Leoncini (nee Pagano), died Monday, September 13, 2004 at home.
A lifelong resident of Hammonton, she was a sales clerk at the Ideal Bakery for several years until her retirement. Mildred enjoyed baking and cooking and dedicated much of her life to her family. As a young widow, she & her sister raised her daughter, Carol.
Predeceased by: sister, Ann. Surviving her are: daughter, Carol Orsi and her husband Arthur with whom she resided; grandchildren, Lisa and John DeKlerk of Vineland, Lori Orsi of Hammonton; several nieces and nephews.

Anthony (LoSasso) Sasso, 85, of Hammonton died Monday, August 30, 2004 at Greenbriar Nursing Center.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. He was an operating engineer for Local 825 and worked for many years with Statewide Hi-Way Safety. Anthony served in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of the Hammonton V.F.W. Post 186.
Surviving him are: daughter, Toni LoSasso of Sweetwater; son, John LoSasso Sr. and his wife Theresa of Waterford; sister, Alice Baltuskions of Hammonton; grandsons, John Jr., Stephen.

Anthony “Donnie” Storey, 48, of Hammonton died Wednesday September 1, 2004 at home.
Donnie was a strong person and a fighter, but he couldn’t win this fight. He was fighting cancer amongst other illnesses. He fought a courageous battle with drug addiction and against all odds he ended his pain and suffering. He was an asset to his loved ones, family and friends. Donnie’s life was a constant struggle and he did it his way. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
Surviving him are: mother, Rose M. (nee Bruno) Storey of Hammonton; sons, Donald, Mark and his wife Christine all of Lindenwold; brothers, Ronald of Hamilton Township, Michael J. of Hammonton, Herbert C. of Hammonton; sisters, Helenann Johnson of Mass., Debbie Ford of Hammonton, Rosemarie Fedeli of Margate; grandsons, Mark Anthony, Xavier.

Gerald J. Mull, 54, of Ft. Myers died suddenly on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at Lee Memorial Hospital in Ft. Myers.
Originally from Stratford, he retired in 1996 from the New Jersey State Police as a Detective Sergeant First Class after 25 years of service. He moved to Ft. Myers in 1996.
Surviving him are: sons, Matthew R. Mull of Turnersville, Jeffrey J. Mull of Newtown, Pa.; daughter, Brittni A. Mull of Ft. Myers; daughters-in-law, Kristen E. Lena Ingemi (nee Vacarella), 95, died Thursday, September 23, 2004 at the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hammonton, she was an area resident all her life. She was the head cook for the Hammonton Public School system where she worked from 1956 until her retirement in 1982.
Predeceased by: husband, Frank; son, Joseph. Surviving her are: sons, Matthew Ingemi and his wife Gloria, Hammonton Police Chief Frank Ingemi and his wife Nina; sister, Minnie DeMarco, all of Hammonton; grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Janine, Kristina Erman and her husband Nicholas, Mark Ingemi; great-granddaughter, Celeste Ingemi; sisters-in-law, Mary Ingemi, Mae Vacarella, Nancy Ordille.

Fred F. Fitchett Jr., 78, of Hammonton died Monday, September 20, 2004 at home.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. Fred retired from RCA in Camden as an electronic technician. He also worked for Suburban Gas and Propane, Frank Mazza & Sons, and Penza Hardware. He served as a gunners mate in the United States Army Air Force during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post #186. He was a life member of the United Methodist Church and served in many positions including a licensed minister, trustee, and organist.
Surviving him are: wife, Ellen R. (nee Clark); sons, Frederick F. Fitchett III and his wife Lova of Haddon Heights, Clark A. Fitchett of Barrington, Wesley P. Fitchett and his wife Debbie of Sicklerville; grandchildren, Kimberly, Whitham, Abigail, Mackenzie, Alexis Fitchett.

Emma (Ann) Gallancy died Thursday, September 23, 2004.
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland she moved to Atlantic City as a young G.I. bride in 1945. She was a long time resident of Ventnor and Margate and was currently residing in Hammonton. Ann worked for Hess Photographer Studios in Atlantic City for several years and sang in the local Judean Choir. She was a member of the Atlantic City Junior Women’s Club as well as a past member of the Ventnor Women’s Club. She was a past member of the Church of the Epiphany of Ventnor.
Predeceased by: husband, Bob; uncle, Harold L. Wertheimer; sisters, Edna, Arleen; brother, Jim. Surviving her are: daughters, Barbara Neary of Hammonton with whom she was currently residing, Debra Gamble of Flagler Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Patrick Neary, Erin Neary; several nieces and nephews, and her wonderful friends, “The Girls.”

Joseph D. Gradia Sr., 64, of Hammonton died Monday, September 20, 2004 in Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Vineland, he was a lifelong southern New Jersey resident. Mr. Gradia was a self-employed general contractor. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 434 in Vineland.
Surviving him are: children, Helen Branin of Hammonton, Stephanie Sargent of Erial, Joseph D. Gradia Jr. of Collings Lakes, Frankie Gradia, Mary Melora, John Gradia, all of Hammonton; brother, Thomas Alvino of Medford; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Antonette “Nettie” Strouse, 88, of Hammonton departed this earth to join the Lord and her beloved late husband and family with her devoted and dedicated daughter beside her every step of the way on September 21, 2004.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was a resident of Hammonton for 58 years. Mrs. Strouse was a member of St. Martin de Porres R.C. Church, and was a former member of the Hammonton Senior Citizens club. She loved the casinos.
Surviving her are: daughter, Susan Strouse of Hammonton; sisters-in-law, Josephine Malandrucco of Glenolden, Pa., Anna Mae King of Mantua, and her faithful sitter, Josie Lucca of Hammonton.

Albert Allen Romano, 59, died Friday, September 24, 2004 in Lima, Pa.
Born in Morristown, he lived in Hammonton for 39 years before moving to Pennsylvania six years ago. He retired after 33 years of service as a truck driver for the Hammonton Highway Department. Albert had a good sense of humor. He enjoyed traveling and good food.
Predeceased by parents, James V. and Carmella Romano. Surviving him are: sons, Allen A. of Philadelphia, John of Sharon Hill, Pa.; brother, James Romano and his wife Rosalie of Pomfret, Md.; sister, Madalyn Brogan and her husband Thomas of Denver, Colo., God child, Lisa Romano of Waldrof, Md.; former wife and dear friend Judith Romano of Philadelphia; several nieces and nephews.

Joseph A. Torres Sr., 63, of Hammonton died Thursday, September 23, 2004 at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he lived in Hammonton for many years. Mr. Torres was a real estate agent. He was a former member and past president of the Hammonton Kiwanis Club and served as District Lt. Governor for Kiwanis International. He was a member and former president of the Hammonton Puerto Rican Civic Association. Mr. Torres was a board member for the Kessler Foundation, a former member of the Hammonton Rescue Squad, a member of the Spanish choir at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, and he was at one time a disc jockey for WRDR.
Surviving him are: wife, Hilda Rose Torres; children, Joseph Torres of Millville, Alfred Torres, Michelle Estrella, Michael Torres all of Hammonton, Robert Torres of Atco; brother, James Torres, sisters, Mary Rivera, Iris Bernhaus, Josephine Santiago, Carmen Salas, Santia Gonzalez, Maria Herreira, Olga Carrion; six grandchildren.
