Charlene E. Neumann (nee Mazzeo), 31, of Sicklerville, died January 13, 2006, at her residence.
Born in Stratford, she was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Hammonton High School class of 1993 and attended Moore College of Art & Design. Charlene was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Predeceased by: father, Louis Mazzeo. Surviving her are: husband Fred H. Neumann; children, Kyle, Jake, Madison and Marlee; mother, Cathryn (nee Craig) of Hammonton; brothers, Louis A. Mazzeo and his wife Denise, Robert J. Mazzeo both of Hammonton; maternal grandmother, Elva Craig of Parkland, Fla.; father-in-law, Fred Neumann of Hammonton.

Nicole Mazza, 19, of Hammonton, went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2006, at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Stratford, she was a lifelong Hammonton resident. She was a former student at Pilgrim Academy. Nicole was a 2004 graduate of Hammonton High school where she was a chorus member. Nicole was currently enrolled in her second year at Camden County Community College. In addition to going to college, Nicole worked as a teller for Bank of America in Turnersville.
Predeceased by: maternal grandfather, John Lucca; paternal grandparents, Frank and Frances Mazza. Surviving her are: parents, Bill and Debbie Mazza of Hammonton; brother, Justin Mazza of Hammonton; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Lucca; aunt, Gail Lucca both of Hammonton; longtime friend, Louie Perez; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Carmen F. Comperatore, 79, died January 16, 2006, at home after a short illness.
He enjoyed playing cards, bocce and horseshoes as well as watching TV and listening to music. He was a dedicated parishioner at Our Lady of Victory Church. He also enjoyed traveling. Mr. Comperatore was a wholesaler of produce and plants for 60 years. He owned his own business Carmen’s Flowers and Produce. He will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit.
Predeceased by: brothers, Dominick, Joe, Tony, and Frank Comperatore. Surviving him are: wife, Kathleen “Kaye” Gould Comperatore; daughter, Amy Comperatore of Wilmington, Del.; sisters, Angie Mature, Teresa DelGuercio both of New Jersey, Antoinette Brooks of Texas.

Charles L. Duble Jr., 89, of Cedar Brook died January 17, 2006 at Virtua Health Systems in Berlin.
Born in Cedar Brook, he was a lifelong resident there. Before retiring, Mr. Duble worked as a custodian for Edgewood High School in Winslow Township. Mr. Duble was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed doing yard work and caring for his cat, Kitty. He was a member of the Indian Mills Gun Club, the Cedar Brook Gun Club, and was an exempt member of the Cedar Brook Fire Company.
Predeceased by: wife, Eleanor Duble (nee Sykes.) Surviving him are: daughter, Connie DeLucca and her husband Anthony of Hammonton; son, C. Joseph Duble of Cedar Brook; grandchildren, Joseph Duble and his wife Sharon, Jeffrey Duble and his wife Kathleen, Jon Duble and his wife Maria, Linda Cappuccio and her husband Stephen, Holly McIntosh and her husband Shawn, Chelsea Duble, Ceanne Duble, Carlee Duble; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.

JoHanna Mary Triboletti, 59, of Bridgeton, died January 12, 2006.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Hammonton for most of her life before moving to Bridgeton two years ago. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. She worked as a bartender for Old Vineland Tavern for over seven years.
Predeceased by: parents, Edmond and Anna Triboletti. Surviving her are: daughters, Stefanie Trionfo and her fiance Roy Smith, Anna Margaret Trionfo and her fiance Kristian Frye both of Bridgeton; brothers Kenneth Triboletti of Berlin and Reynold Triboletti of Hammonton, sisters Edna Burgese of Lake Wales, Fla. and Carol Triboletti of Hammonton; grandchildren, Henry Jr., Richard, Alyssa, Kristen, Anthony Jr. and Kaley.

Alexander J. Farren, 94, of Hammonton, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2006, at home.
Born in Dolina, Poland, Alex grew up in Devonshire, N.J. and lived in Hammonton most of his life. He graduated with high honors from Hammonton High School in 1930. Alex worked many years as a manager at Morgan’s gas station on the White Horse Pike in Hammonton and was a subsequent co-owner of Morgan’s Pump and Tank Company. Alex was a member of St. Joseph’s Holy Name Society and a member of St. Martin de Porres R.C. Church in Hammonton. He was a faithful worker at St. Martin’s bingo night. Mr. Farren was a Fourth Degree Member of the St. Vincent Pallotti Knights of Columbus Council #2471 and a Faithful Navigator from 1970 – 1971.
Predeceased by: parents, John and Maria Farren; sisters, Stephana Clements and her husband William, Bernice Logovino and her husband Rocco, Caroline Caggiano and her husband Domenic; brothers, Norbert Farren, John Farren, Stanley Farren and his wife Antonia; brother-in-law, James Ripple.

Bernice C. Tully (nee Piscitelli), 61, of Atco, died January 17, 2006, after a 16 year courageous battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Born in Hammonton, she was a resident of Atco for more than 30 years. Mrs. Tully was vice president of Community Management Service Group, Orleans Home Builders in Bensalem. She was a member of Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Atco.
Predeceased by: father, Frank Piscitelli. Surviving her are: husband, Albert J. Tully; daughters, Michele Moore of Smithville, Sharon Stanley and her husband Terry of Woolwich Township, Bernice Azarian and her husband David of Mullica Hill, Denise Medwid and her husband Geno of Woolwich Township; grandchildren, Ashley, Casey, Kyle, Chad, Chase, Madison, Brandon; mother, Madeline Piscitelli of Galloway Township; brothers, Gene Piscitelli and his wife Pam of Boca Raton, Dan Piscitelli and his wife Nannette of Raleigh, N.C.

Michael F. DeLaurentis, 70, of Hammonton died January 26, 2006, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in both the Army and Navy. Mr. DeLaurentis began his career in law enforcement joining the Hammonton Police Reserves where he later became a police officer. He was named Chief of Police in January 1985, a position he held until his retirement in March 1998. He was a member of the Atlantic County Police Chief Association and the Hammonton Sons of Italy Lodge. Mr. DeLaurentis was named Outstanding Scholastic Athlete of South Jersey in 1953.
Surviving him are: wife of 48 years, Barbara DeLaurentis (nee Romeo); sons, Michael J. DeLaurentis and his wife Marypat of Sicklerville, Jimmy DeLaurentis, Joseph DeLaurentis both of Hammonton; daughter, Kendall Kell and her husband Bucky of Hammonton; brothers, Vincent DeLaurentis, Albert DeLaurentis, Nicholas Catalano; sisters, Sylvia Davis, Rose Yacob, Michelina DeSantis; six grandchildren; mother-in-law, Anne Romeo.

Dorothy Derstine (nee Schellhas), 86, of Folsom, died January 23, 2006, in Monroe Township as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Folsom, she was a lifelong resident there. Before retiring, Mrs. Derstine worked for Whitehall Laboratories in Hammonton. She was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church in Folsom and the Mid-New Jersey Retreads Motorcycle Club.
Predeceased by: husband, Horace “Moe” Derstine; brothers, William Schellhas, Earl Schellhas, Paul Schellhas. Surviving her are: son, Terry Derstine and his wife Jodi of Folsom; daughter, Cheryl Smith and her husband, H. Joseph L. Tramontana, 69, of Hammonton, died January 25, 2006, at his residence.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. He worked for W.B. Kessler Clothing Company for 24 years and retired in 1995 as an accountant for Whitehall Laboratory. He was president of Hammonton High School class of 1954, and served in the National Guard.
Predeceased by: father, Santo. Surviving him are: wife, Betty (nee Ciambrone); daughters, Sandra Bixby and her husband Mark of New Market, N.H., Gail McCausland and her husband Francis of Audubon, Pa.; mother, Catherine (nee LaMotta) of Hammonton; grandchildren, Jonathan and Kristin Bixby, Shannon and Connor McCausland.

Ralph Romano, 76, died January 26, 2006, at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Hammonton.
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Romano graduated from Bok Vocational High School. He served as an Army Medic in Germany during the Korean War. In 1955, he married Marie Berenato and moved to Hammonton where he worked at George’s Market, Olivo’s Thriftway, and the First Federal Savings and Loan becoming a familiar and friendly face to customers and their families. He was an active member and former president of the Rotary Club, epitomizing service over self, and in recognition of substantial contribution to its humanitarian and educational programs was named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International.
Mr. Romano was devoted to his family and they were the center of his life. In addition to Marie, his wife of over 50 years, he is survived by: daughters, Janet Romano, MD, Rita Weeks and her husband Walt, Mary Triboletti and her husband Fred; son, Ralph Romano and his wife Marie; grandchildren, Mark and Andrea Triboletti, Christina, Rachel, Angelina, and Ralph Romano; brothers, Tony and Angelo Romano; sister, Carmela “Dolly” Nigro.

Born in Hammonton, she lived in South Philadelphia where she owned and operated J.B. Cleaners and Tailors and retired in 1975.
Predeceased by: husband, Joseph. Surviving her are: son, Joseph A. and his wife Barbara of Hillsborough; brothers, Tony Carbonaro of West Berlin, Anthony Carbonaro of Springfield, Pa.; grandchildren, Joey and Leah.

Berta A. Strain (nee Zipperle), 71, of Cedar Brook died February 3 at her residence.
Born in Austria, she lived in Cedar Brook for the last 30 years. Berta was a cook for St. Lucy’s Church in Blue Anchor for over 15 years. She was a member of the Historical Society of Winslow Township and a former member of the W.B. Kessler Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
Predeceased by: husband, James B. Strain III. Surviving her are: sons, Joseph H. and his wife Andrea of Cedar Brook, James B. IV and his wife Heather of Waterford Works; daughter, Heidi A. Starin of Vineland; brothers, Hubert Zipperle of Austria, Herman Zipperle of Germany; sisters, Emmi Wohlfahrtstatter of Austria, Ann Marie Murray of Richland, Mich.; grandchildren, Nicole, Erin, Shannon and James B. Earl E. Fithian, born January 22, 1931, died January 30 surrounded by his loving family.
He was a long time resident of Hammonton. He served in the United States Navy for 30 years where he achieved the rank of Master Chief. He was a Veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was an instructor in the military and Arapahoe Community College in Denver, Col.
Surviving him are: wife of 54 years, Ann Fithian (nee Maimone); daughter, Patricia Chrisco of Denver; grandchildren, JoAnna and Justin Chrisco; half brother, Ephraim Fithian of Orefield, Pa.
He will be forever remembered as a loving man to family and friends. Private funeral services and burial at Greenmount Cemetery were held on February 2. Special thanks to brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joseph and Betty Maimone for their invaluable assistance throughout these difficult times.

Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Maple Shade before moving to Folsom 11 years ago. She was a retired clerk for Van Sciver and for RCA, both in Camden.
Predeceased by: husband, George; parents, Hunter Renshaw and Florence (Lithgow) Abbott; brothers, Harry Wright, George Wright; sister, Marie Pangoras. Surviving her are: daughter, Judi Kaiser and her husband Roy of Folsom; grandchildren, Edmund, Debbi, Mike, Rain, Rian, Roy; great-grandchildren, Kristen, Spenser, Joey Jr., Alexys, Madasyn, Eddie.
