Margaret Sauser, 92, of Hammonton, died January 21, 2006, at the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hungary, she was a resident of the Hammonton/Elm area for 60 years.
Surviving her are: husband, William J. Sauser of Hammonton; son, William J. Sauser Jr. and his wife Carol of Medford; daughter, Margaret Mettille and her husband Charles of Pomona; grandchildren, Charles W. Mettille and his wife Jennifer, Michael Mettille; great-grandson, Charles W. Mettille Jr.

Rocco Morano, 82, of Hammonton, died February 7, 2006, at his residence.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. He started in business with his father at Jimmy’s Produce Market, and from there they began selling brown paper bags. They later founded James Morano & Sons Paper and Cleaning Supplies in 1947. At the time of Rocco’s retirement in 2004, he was president of James Morano & Sons. He served as a military policeman during World War II. He was a charter member of the Hammonton High School Boosters and was inducted into their Hall of Fame for his loyal support. He was an avid fan of the Hammonton Blue Devils, St. Joseph Wildcats, and Hammonton Hawks football teams. Rocco was a golden glove boxer and defeated Matthew Mufalli in 1940.
Predeceased by: parents, James and Jennie Morano; brothers, Michael and Anthony; wife, Ruth (nee Lerner). Surviving him are: sons, James Sr. and his wife Susan of Somerset, Judy Domenico and her husband Frank of Hammonton; brothers, John and his wife Marge, Ralph and his wife Lois all of Hammonton; sisters, Rita Farrell and her husband Jack, Mary Thurston of Mays Landing, Gladys Pilman and her husband Steve of Hammonton, Carmella Washburn of San Diego, Calif.; sister-in-law, Anna Morano of Hammonton; grandchildren, Keena York and her husband Tim, James Morano II and his wife Jessica, Bianca Herrmann and her husband Mark, April Domenico; great-grandchildren, Cole and Claire.

Myrna L. Super, 63, of Hammonton, died February 10, 2006, at the AtlantiCare Hospital in Pomona.
Born in Aberdeen, Md., she was a Hammonton resident for 27 years. Mrs. Super had previously worked as an electrical technician for K.M.T. Enterprises in Elwood. She was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Hammonton.
Surviving her are: sons, Todd Super and his wife Dawn of Mays Landing, Scott Super and his wife Tina of Egg Harbor Township, Gregg Super and his wife Sherry of Galloway Township; grandchildren, Scotty, Brittanie, Shyanne, Ryan, Hailey, Taran, Jenny, Rob and James.

Clara Macri (nee Pullia), 100, of Hammonton, died February 10, 2006, at her daughter’s residence.
Born in Hammonton, she was a life long resident. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society of St. Joseph Church, former secretary for the Hammonton Senior Citizens, and former member of the St. Joseph P.T.A.
Predeceased by: husband, Anthony C.; son, Anthony “Ike” Macri. Surviving her are: daughters, Jeanette LaMonaca and her husband Hugh of Hammonton, Mary Ann Dougherty and her husband Steve of Davidsonville, Md.; daughter-in-law, Dolores Macri of Atco; sister, Antoinette Kolodziej of Devonshire; loving grandmother of seven; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.

Esperanto “Sprandy” DeAngelis, 96, of Homestead, Fla., died February 16, 2006.
Born in Atlantic City, he lived in Egg Harbor City before moving to Homestead in 1970. He was a manager for the Renault Winery for over 42 years. He graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1929 and was an All State full back. He was one of the original members of the Oakcrest High School Board of Education, a former member of the St. Nicholas Church and Holy Name Society and the Palm Beach Kiwanis Club. He loved to cultivate orchids and collected stamps and coins. He was the family Scrabble champion. He also coached semi-pro football for the Egg Harbor Ramblers.
Pre-deceased by: wife, Ruth “Mitzi” Mason. Surviving him are: sons, Joseph and his wife Connie of Elberton, Ga., Jeffrey of Port Orange, Fla., Zacary and his wife Linda of Hammonton, John “Zeke” and his wife Lorie of Northfield; daughters, Helen Strohm of Sunnyvale, Calif., Anita McDevitt of Atlantic City; Elizabeth Sorg of Trenton; sister, Gem Heeneke of Hammonton; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

Master Sgt. Bill A. DiGuglielmo, 42, of Marlton and formerly of Hammonton died February 15, 2006, at his residence after losing a courageous battle with cancer.
He was on active duty with the U.S. Army 119th Corp. Support Battalion, Hammonton, and the Regional Support Command, Somerset. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and was a veteran of the Gulf War. After completing high school, he graduated from the Apex Institute in Florida and became a master mechanic. More recently, he was working toward his teaching certificate in biology. He also worked at Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City and was licensed to deal black jack, poker, craps, baccarat, and mini-baccarat.
Surviving him are: wife, Michelle; daughter, Ashley; sons, Timothy and Louis; mother, Rochelle Lowe, all of Hammonton; father and step-mother, Louis and Kathy DiGuglielmo of Ocean City; sister, Alana Genova of Brigantine; brothers, his identical twin Bart A. DiGuglielmo of Harlem, Ga., Damon Lowe of Hammonton, Christopher DiGuglielmo of Galloway.

Ida C. Pencek, 86, of Hammonton, died February 12, 2006, at the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Pencek was a retired machine operator with C & P Coats of Hammonton. She also worked as a waitress at the Central and the Dairy Lunch.
Surviving her are: sons, Charles Fanelli of Hammonton, John Fanelli and his wife Bernadette of Hammonton; grandson, John Rocco Fanelli Jr.; great-granddaughter, Josephine Elizabeth Fanelli; step-daughters, Brenda Leone, Edna Mazzola, Carol Sherwin.

Olive May Murphy, RN, 89, of Winslow Township died suddenly February 18, 2006, at home.
Born in Atlantic City, she was a resident of Elm since 1998. She was formerly of Mullica Township and lived in Hammonton for 30 years where she was owner and administrator of the Pleasant-Haven Nursing Home for 10 years. She was a graduate of Pleasantville High School Class of 1935. Mrs. Murphy became an R.N. after graduating in 1938 from the Atlantic City Nursing School. She also graduated in 1942 from the Johns Hopkins School of Anesthesia in Baltimore, Md. and was an anesthetist at Cooper Hospital in Camden for four years and also for Dr. Gorham, an oral surgeon in Camden, for 15 years. She retired in 1982 as an RN Administrator Supervisor at the Atlantic City Medical Center after 10 years. She was a member of the Hammonton Methodist Women’s Society.
Predeceased by: husband, William F. Murphy in 1962. Surviving her are: several nieces and nephews.

Agnes M. Jiampetti (nee Gehringer), 94, of Egg Harbor City, died February 14 at the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Dorothy, she was raised in the Egg Harbor City area where she resided all of her life. She was the choir director and organist at St. Nicholas Church in Egg Harbor City for over 60 years and taught piano to area youth for over 50 years. She was the accompanist for Holy Name Society Minstrel shows. Mrs. Jiampetti was president and secretary of St. Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society, president and secretary of St. Nicholas School PTA, a member and secretary of the Egg Harbor City Historical Society, a member of the Harmony Club, president of the Egg Harbor City Junior Women’s Civic Club, president and secretary of the Egg Harbor City Senior Women’s Civic Club, Regent of the Atlantic-Cape May PTA, secretary of the Camden Diocesan PTA and recipient of the Bishop’s Medal.
Predeceased by: husband of over 50 years, Sal Jiampetti; brothers, John Gehringer and Edward Gehringer. Surviving her are: children, George Jiampetti and his wife Ann of Kinston, N.C., Kathryn Bruno and her husband Charles of Hammonton, Robert Jiampetti and his wife Marlene of Wilmington, N.C., John Jiampetti and his wife Carol of San Mateo, Calif.; grandchildren, George Jiampetti Jr. and his wife Frances of Cape May, Marsha Nocito and her husband Mario of Wildwood, Cathy McConkey and her husband Kim of Georgia, David Charles Bruno and his wife Jacqueline of Hammonton, C. Deanna S. Kendall, 68, of Hammonton, died suddenly on February 17, 2006, at the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Elwood, and was formerly of Elm and Wharton Park. She was a machine operator for Frank Huttle, Inc. a prosthesis manufacturing company in Hammonton, retiring in 1992 after 10 years.
Surviving her are: daughter, Kathleen M. Kendall Rydel and her husband Richard of Wharton Park; sons, Joseph R. of Edgewood, Md., Robert H. of Williamstown, Raymond L. of Hammonton; sisters, Helen Hummel and her husband Joseph of Waterford, Charlotte Chatten of Hammonton; brothers, George Meade of Mays Landing, Raymond Meade of Edgewater, Fla.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Donato Pat D’Ambrosio, 73, of Collings Lakes, died February 10, 2006, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Collings Lakes for many years. He was a retired mason for Septa in Philadelphia. Mr. D’Ambrosio was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post No. 1616 of Williamstown.
Surviving him are: wife, Catherine R. D’Ambrosio (nee Prince); children, Cathy D’Alessio and her husband Lee of Willow Grove, Penn., Daniel D’Ambrosio and his wife Lisa of Buena, Stephen D’Ambrosio and his wife Karla of Buena, Diane Eby and her husband Charles of Weymouth, Denise Burden and her husband Keith of Westville; sisters, Angie Giordano and her husband Donald, Lucy D’Ambrosio; brothers, Guy D’Ambrosio and his wife Millie, Frank D’Ambrosio and his wife Mary all of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren.

Antoinette (Netta) Caracciolo Barresi, formerly of Hammonton, died peacefully on February 20, 2006, in Saratoga, Calif.
Netta was born November 30, 1912, in Philadelphia, and grew up on a farm in Blue Anchor. She was the sixth of 11 children. She married Sam Barresi on October 7, 1934, and moved with him to Hammonton where she resided until 1997. Netta was a loving wife and mother. She worked as a seamstress for Crown Pants Company, C&P Coat Company and several other clothing companies in the area. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church and enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and visiting with her family. One of her favorite New Year’s Eves was spent working on floats for the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, Calif.
Surviving her are: sons, Joseph A. Barresi of Saratoga, Samuel N. Barresi of Medford, and their families which include four granddaughters, four grandsons, ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence Pignatelli, Louise Piccotti, Marie Caracciolo all in the Hammonton area.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on March 2 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Sam.

Michael A. Benedetto Jr., 80, of Hammonton, died February 24, 2006, in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Benedetto was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II where he was a B-24 crew member and flew combat missions in the Pacific. He was a retired line operator for WhiteHall Laboratories in Hammonton. He also owned and operated the Mobil Riverlli Station in Hammonton for 25 years. Mr. Benedetto was a member of the Hammonton VFW Post No. 1026 and the F.A. Funston Post No. 186 of the American Legion. He enjoyed crabbing, detailing cars and his favorite pastime, flying.
Predeceased by: parents, Michael and Lucille; brother, Anthony. Surviving him are: wife of 57 years, Rose Benedetto (nee Giuffre); children and their spouses, Michael A. and Colleen Benedetto III of Aurora, Col, Mark A. and Lisa Benedetto of Vineland, Marcia and Dave Goetzinger of El Dorado, Kan.; brothers, Louis Benedetto of Cherry Hill, Daniel Benedetto Sr. of Hammonton; sister, Marie Musgrove of Florida; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

James Brown, 83, of Hammonton, died February 22, 2006, at home.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. Before retiring, Mr. Brown worked for the William B. Kessler Clothing Factory for 33 years and for the New Jersey State Police Troop A in the maintenance department for 18 years. He was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Worker’s Union and was a very active member of the Hammonton Baptist Church. Mr. Brown enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, gardening and playing pinochle with his family.
Surviving him are: wife, Jennie Brown (nee Martinelli); sons, Robert J. Brown and his wife Toni of Hammonton, James A. Brown of Manahawkin; grandchildren, Christopher J. Brown, Tyler R. Brown, Kaitlyn E. Brown; sisters, Marie Dal Farra of Philadelphia, Nettie Muoio and her husband Joseph of Kennett Square, Penn., Gloria De Zorzi and her husband Renzo of Williamstown; brother, Joseph J.
