Katherine C. DiFilippo (nee Erkert), 93, of Mays Landing, died February 20, 2006, at Atlantic City Medical Center.
Born in Delaware Co., Pa., she lived in Franklinville for over 50 years. She drove a school bus for over 20 years for Delsea Regional High School retiring in 1981. Katherine was a founding member of the Church of the Nativity. She was an avid sports fan who followed the Phillies and Eagles while enjoying reading and knitting.
Predeceased by: husband, Paul. Surviving her are: sons, Joseph P. DiFilippo Sr, and his wife Sandy of Sweetwater, Paul E. DiFilippo Sr. and his wife Diane of N. Wildwood, Michael V. Teresa J. Ingemi (nee Branca), 80, of Hammonton died February 20, 2006, at the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Clementon, she was a resident of Hammonton since 1948. Mrs. Ingemi enjoyed cooking and sewing.
Predeceased by: husband, Joseph Ingemi Jr.; parents, Pasquale and Maria Branca; brother, Dominick Branca. Surviving her are: daughter, Sandy Turner and her husband Michael of Port Republic; sons, Joseph Ingemi III and his wife Marian of Egg Harbor Township, Pasquale J. Geraldine Marino, 76, of Hammonton, died February 21, 2006, at Virtua Hospital in Berlin.
Born in Philadelphia, she was an area resident all her life.

Steven J. Adams, 45, of Mullica Township, died March 1, 2006, after a short illness at the Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, Penn.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in the Atlantic County area for many years and in Elwood the past two years. Mr. Adams was employed for many years as a bartender in several local bars and clubs. He was a member of Local 54 Union. He was a lover of flowers and antiques and was a dealer at the Antique Market Place in Hammonton.
Surviving him are: mother, Theresa Piciulo Adams of Egg Harbor City; partner, Don Crudele; long time friend, James Matthew Marris of Galloway Township; sister, Deborah Adams of Egg Harbor City; brothers, Cliff of Pleasantville, Brian of Atlantic City.

Cora M. Ruggeri passed away peacefully in her favorite chair, her rosary beside her on February 27, 2006.
If ever there was a woman who “lived for her man,” it was Cora.
Born December 15, 1923, in Carthage, N.Y., Cora was the fourth of seven children born to John and Gladys Mallette. Cora met her soul mate, Joseph Ruggeri in a soda fountain in Carthage while he was stationed at Pine Camp (Fort Drum) training to go off to World War II. For each it was love at first sight. After a whirlwind romance that lasted several weeks, Cora and Joe were married. Joe went off to war fighting in Europe in General Patton’s army with the Fourth Armored Division. After the war, Cora and Joe settled in Hammonton where they raised their five children. Cora was devoted to Joe throughout their lives together and she lost a big piece of herself when he passed away in 1989. Cora loved her church, St. Martin’s, and was a lector for many years which she enjoyed greatly. Though she no longer drove very far, her favorite places to visit were the church and the public library. She was an avid reader who read several books a week. She loved to crotchet, needlepoint, embroider, and work crossword puzzles.
Surviving her are: children, Kay Owsley and her husband Wayne, Wynnona Pantalone and her husband Louis, Johanna Johnson and her husband Nelson, Joseph Ruggeri and his wife Christine, Timothy Ruggeri and his wife Susan; sister, Thelma Woodard of Govenour, N.Y.; grandchildren, Page Ann Zulker and her husband Jim, Pam Brunozzi, Wayne Owsley Jr., Louis Pantalone Jr. and his wife Kathy, David Pantalone and his wife Georgeann, SheriLynn Brigandi and her husband Joseph Jr., Sarah Beth Johnson, Ethan Johnson and his wife Alisa, Emily Johnson, Robin Ruggeri and her companion Rob, Taylor Ruggeri, Carly Ruggeri, and TJ Ruggeri; ten great-grandchildren.

Marion Giberson (nee Valentino), 78, of Hammonton died March 5, 2006, at Hampton Hospital in West Hampton, N.J.
Born in Cedar Brook, she lived in Hammonton most of her life. Marion worked for Modern Clothing for over 20 years retiring in 1988. She enjoyed the casinos and playing cards with her friends.
Predeceased by: husband, Alfred; parents, Jesse and Millie Valentino; brother, Richard Valentino. Surviving her are: son, William “Puggy” Giberson and his wife Susan of Hammonton; daughter, Tricia and her partner Steve DiGennaro of Williamstown; sisters, Rita Bertino, Jean Tratta both of Hammonton; brother, Bill Valentino of Stratford; grandchildren, Billy, Nicky and Mark Giberson, Maria and Zachary DiGennaro and her companion Joe Napoliello.

Lubica Mikula (nee Stuska), 62, of Hammonton, died March 8, 2006 at the A.C. Medical Center.
Born in Jablonica, Slovakia, she lived in Hammonton since 1986. She worked as a cashier for Atlantic Cape Community College and St. Joseph School.
Surviving her are: husband, George; son, Paul of Tuscon, Ariz.; daughters, Maria McMullen and her husband Mike of Hainesport, Andrea of Hammonton; brothers, Jozef Stuska, Ludovit Stuska both of Slovakia; grandchildren, Genevieve and Lukas.

Medio DeMarco, 82, of Hammonton, passed away peacefully at his residence on May 8, 2006.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. A retired fruit farmer, he farmed the DeMarco Orchards for many years and also sold farm tools and implements in Hammonton. His hobby was airplanes, and he was a Piper Club pilot. Mr. DeMarco was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Hammonton.
Predeceased by: parents, Emedio and Julia DeMarco; brother, Rocky; sisters, Carmella Graves, Helen Esham, Gloria Soards. Surviving him are: wife, Nancy (nee VanWinkle); daughter, Patricia Leroy and her husband Hartle of Cornelius, N.C.; sons, Medio and his wife Frances, Paul and his wife Jeannette all of Hammonton, James and Michael Goosen of Los Angeles; brothers, Anthony (Buck), Phillip both of Hammonton, Louis G. of The Villages in Florida; sisters, Rose Arico of Hammonton, Diane Hanselman of Cologne, Amelia Todaro of Cherry Hill; grandchildren, Devon, Medio (MJ), Sierra Rose, Olivia, Paige, Lacey, Delanie DeMarco, Hartley and Hayden Leroy.

Fred T. Brown, 71, of Hammonton, died May 10 at his summer home in the Villas.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a lifelong Hammonton resident. He was a graduate of Hammonton High School. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War achieving the rank of sergeant. Mr. Brown was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts in Hammonton and the Villas, the Villas Fishing Club, and the Sons of Italy Lodge No. 1658. He was a former football coach for the Hammonton Hawks and St. Joseph’s High School. Before retiring he was the owner and operator of Freddie’s Auto Parts in Hammonton.
Predeceased by: brother, George Brown; sister, Connie Lucas. Surviving him are: wife, Dorothy M. Brown (nee Breslin); daughter, Cheryl Watson and her husband Michael Sr. of Hammonton; grandchildren, Jennifer Brown of May Landing, Christina Gray and her husband William of Bridgeton; stepchildren, Charles Brothman and his wife Patty, Robert Brothman and his wife Bessie, Michael Brothman and his wife Stephanie, Colleen Ghaul and her husband Tony, Kimberly Minimi and her husband Paul; brother, Jack Rehman of Hammonton; 17 step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth Mick (nee McCormick), 95, of Hammonton, died May 8, 2006.
Born in Batsto Village, she later became a resident of Hammonton. Mrs. Mick worked for the Amalgamated Union. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Egg Harbor City.
Predeceased by: husband, Albertis Mick; son, Melvain Cain; sisters and brothers. Surviving her are: daughter, Jeanette Johns of Mays Landing; grandchildren, Jacqueline Elizabeth Houck of Mays Landing, Thomas David Johns of Ft. Pierce, Fla., Gary Albertis Johns of Elwood, Linda Marie Newman of Tuckerton, Susan Lee Lanham of Mays Landing; 12 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Joseph J. Oliva, 86, of Honey Brook, Pa. and formerly of Hammonton, died May 5, 2006 at the home of his daughter.
Born in Hammonton, he lived there for over 82 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II where he served as a bombardier instructor. Mr. Oliva was a former member and past commander of the American Legion F.A. Funston Post 186 of Hammonton. Mr. Oliva was a planner and estimator at the Philadelphia Navel Yard.
Predeceased by: wife, Rose T. Oliva; brothers, Leon Oliva, Pete Oliva Sr.; sister, Angelina Ingemi. Surviving him are; daughter, JoAnn Boyle and her husband Harry of Honey Brook, Pa.; grandchildren, Ryan Boyle, Erin Boyle; sister, Mary L. Merline of Egg Harbor City.

Edward J. Sliwecki Jr., 67, of Hammonton, died May 8, 2006 at the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Hammonton since 1969. He retired in 1995 as the owner and operator of E & E Meats. He was a member of the Monte Carlo Club of South Jersey and the Wysonoming Yacht Club of Philadelphia.
Predeceased by: son, Edward. Surviving him are: wife, Darrell (nee Warner); children, Randy Sliwecki, Wendy Esposito both of Hammonton; mother, Victoria Sliwecki of Hammonton; brothers, Eugene of Pine Hill, Robert of Folsom; grandchildren, Ashley and Tyler Esposito, Randy and Todd Sliwecki.

Joseph Franzosa, 81, of Hammonton, died May 8, 2006, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.
Born January 17, 1925, in Philadelphia, he lived in Hammonton since 1985. He served in the United States Army during World War II as a Sergeant Mortar Gunner and received the Bronze Star Victory Medal. After the way he joined the Playboys in 1955 as a bass guitar player where he earned the nickname “Joe Playboy.” The Playboys were a prime attraction from the Jersey shore to Las Vegas until 1964. He then formed Joey & the Jetset who toured for several more years. After returning from the music business, he settled in Maryland with his family where he owned and operated the Sassafras House Rest. He moved to Hammonton and worked in the casino industry. He spent his retirement years greeting everyone in Hammonton at Wal-Mart and being a loving father.
Predeceased by: parents, Joseph and Edith (nee DeCesare); sisters, Antoniette and Aida. Surviving him are: son, John Franzosa and his wife Tracey of Hammonton, Noelle Romano of Chicago; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Angelise; “Uncle Don” Franzosa; many loving relatives and friends from WalMart; former wife, Faye (nee Bandy) and her family.
