He was a member of the Elks Lodge 1505, Lyndhurst, and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Rutherford.

He was a parishioner of Most Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Wallington, where he belonged to its Holy Name Society and its Seniors group.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council 3644, a trustee of the Columbian Club, and a member of the Lions Club, all in Wallington.
He was also a committeeman of Wallington Boy Scouts, Troop 44.
