He was a singer with the Rheinischer Sanger Bund, North Bergen, the Carlstadt Mixed Chorus; and the Harmoni Singers. He was a member of the Carlstadt Friendship Club. She was a member of the American Society of Confectionary Chemists, the Society of Food Technicians, and the American Chemical Society. She was a 1942 graduate of St. John's College, New York City.
