He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4591, Knights of Columbus Council 7041, and the Leisure Club, all in Hasbrouck Heights, and was a former member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He was a member of the Bishop O'Connor Fourth-Degree Assembly, Hackensack; the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union, and the AARP.
