LAWRENCE "LARRY" BIRMAN, 71, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Fair Lawn, died Thursday. Before retiring in 1992, he worked for A. Oppenheimer & Co. He was past president of Temple Avoda, a member of the Knights of Pythias, and a former Little League coach, all in Fair Lawn. Arrangements: Desert Memorial, Las Vegas.
SAM J. BOVE, 72, of Hasbrouck Heights, formerly of Rutherford, died Thursday. Before retiring 10 years ago, he was a maintenance worker for the U.S. Postal Service, Kearny, where he worked for 13 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. JOSEPH CAUDAL JR., 74, of Fair Lawn died Tuesday. He was born in France. Before retiring in 1983, he was a chemical technician for Hoffmann-La Roche Inc., Nutley, where he worked for 30 years. An Army Air Force veteran of World War II, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 281, Fair Lawn, and a recipient of a purple heart. He was a parishioner of St. Catharine R.C. SAMUEL DE GRAAF, 92, of Clifton died Friday. Born in the Netherlands, he came to the United States in 1923. Before retiring in 1959, he was a founder of De Graaf Dairy. He was a member of the United Reformed Church, Clifton, where he was a member of the bowling league, men's choir, and Christian Men's Fellowship. Arrangements: Allwood Funeral Home, Clifton.

Previously, she was a seamstress for R.C.R. Sportswear, Passaic, where she worked for 20 years. She was a member of the American Postal Workers Union and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
