GIACOMO "JACK" LOFORTE, 83, of Ridgefield Park, formerly of Teaneck, died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1979, he was a longshoreman for International Longshoremans Association Local 824, where he worked for 40 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Arrangements: Vorhees Funeral Home, Ridgefield Park.

JOSEPH MANFRA of Paterson died Tuesday. Before retiring, he worked for Grand Union, Elmwood Park. He was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, Paterson. Arrangements: Scillieri Funeral Home, Paterson.

MARIE AKERS MATHEWS, 54, of the Haskell section of Wanaque, formerly of Bloomingdale, died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1984, she worked for Riverdale Plastics for 14 years. Arrangements: D'Agostino Funeral Home, Wanaque.

MARY MAZZOTTA, 64, of Pompton Lakes, formerly of Paterson, died Tuesday. She had worked in the customer-service department for NPE Corp., Riverdale. Previously, she was a bookkeeper for Interstate Textile, Passaic. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church, Paterson, where she was a member of the Council of Catholic Women. She also was a member of Columbiettes Council 240 and the Deborah Hospital Auxiliary. Arrangements: Della Torre Funeral Home, Paterson.

EILEEN LORETTA McCANN, 88, of Clifton died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1984, she was a secretary for St. Anthony's Guild, Paterson. She was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton, where she was a member of the Prime Timers and the Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Paul R.C. Church, Clifton, and Third Order of St. Francis. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.

WILLIAM C. MELBER, 80, of Little Ferry died Wednesday. Before retiring, he was an interior and exterior decorator. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 809, Little Ferry. He was a parishioner of St. Margaret of Cortona R.C. Church, Little Ferry. Arrangements: Hackensack Funeral Home, Hackensack.

KENNETH MINASIAN, 66, of Hackensack died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1995, he was a machinist for Versa Valve, Paramus. He was an Army veteran. Arrangements: Vorhees Funeral Home, Ridgefield Park.

ROBERT LEE MITCHELL, 49, of Paterson died Sunday. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, Paterson. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.

STANISLAW NAZIMEK, 50, of North Bergen died Tuesday. Born in Poland, he came to the United States in 1966. He was a carpenter for Hackensack University Medical Center. Arrangements: Joseph Z. Konopka Funeral Home, North Bergen.

BRIDGET T. O'NEILL OATES, 88, of Edgewater died Wednesday. She was a member of the Edgewater Democratic Club and the Cliffside Park Seniors. She also was a former Woman of the Year and member of the Irish American Social Club of Bergen County. She was a volunteer for Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck. Arrangements: Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, Fort Lee.

BOBBIE ARNOLD O'GRADY, 67, of Wayne, formerly of Clifton, died Tuesday. She was born in France. Arrangements: Moore's Home for Funerals, Wayne.

FERNANDO PADIN, 57, of Passaic died Monday. He was born in Puerto Rico. A self-employed contractor, he had worked as a builder for Independent Condominium Corp., Edgewater. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church, Passaic. Arrangements: Madonna Multinational Home for Funerals, Passaic.

ELIZABETH C. TOCZKO PALCO, 84, of the Haskell section of Wanaque, formerly of Paterson, died Sunday. She was an artist, specializing in oil painting. Arrangements: Minchin Funeral Home, Paterson.

RONALD PELLETERI, 76, of Lyndhurst died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1984, he was a truck driver for Forte Trucking, Clifton, where he worked for 25 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church, Lyndhurst. Arrangements: Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst.

ROBERT J. PETROLIA, 52, of Bergenfield died Wednesday. He was a dispatcher for Budget Towing, Bergenfield. Arrangements: Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield.

JOSEPH F. PRESTI, 81, of Old Bridge, formerly of Clifton, died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1987, he was chief armorer for the National Guard Armory in West Orange, where he worked for 20 years. Previously, he owned and operated Joe's Beauty & Barber Supply Store, Clifton. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Paul R.C. BRUNO A. REMBISH, 74, of Garfield, formerly of Passaic, died Monday. Before retiring in 1988, he was an electrical engineer for the New Jersey Department of Transportation, Trenton, where he worked for 10 years. Previously, he worked for Bendix Corp., Teterboro.
