EUGENE F. PLATT, 69, of Hawthorne, formerly of Paterson, died Friday. Before retiring, he worked for the U.S. Postal Sevice in Paterson for 30 years. A Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the Bernard Armitage American Legion Post, Paterson. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. ALICE K. QUILTER, 96, of Clifton, formerly of North Bergen, died Friday. Before retiring in 1965, she was a teacher in the West New York school system for 40 years. FREDERICK J. SCULLION, 83, of Saddle Brook died Friday. Before retiring in 1981, he was a buyer for ADT, Clifton, for 20 years. LILLIAN TOMPKINS SEMO, 82, of Paterson died Thursday. A registered nurse, she was head of admissions for Wayne General Hospital for many years before retiring. She was a graduate of Paterson General Nursing School. She was a member of the Martha Washington Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Paterson General Hospital Nursing Alumni Association. Before retiring, he was a window-display designer for the former Wechsler's department store, Passaic, and also for the former Bamberger's and J.C. Penney department stores, both in Paramus. He was a parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Church, Passaic, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Christmas and Easter Decorating Committee, director of the former Dramatic Club, and a Eucharistic minister. IRENE S. DEMBSKI TWORKOWSKI, 73, of Cliffside Park, formerly of Fairview, died Saturday. Before retiring, she was a referral clerk for Chase Mellon, Ridgefield Park. LAWRENCE WOLFBERG of Teaneck, formerly of Weehawken and Cliffside Park, died Friday. Before retiring in 1996, he was an attorney for Wolfberg & Wolfberg, Union City, where he worked for 64 years. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Jewish War Veterans and Kennedy War Veterans Club. He was a member of Temple Emeth, Teaneck, and the Lawyers Club and Kiwanis Club, both in the North Hudson area. He received his law degree in 1932 from Fordham University.
