ISTEPAN B. AKKUS, 77, of Fairview died Tuesday. Born in Turkey, he was a self-employed shoemaker before coming to the United States in 1988.

JOSEPH WILLIAM ALONSO, 83, of Westwood died last Friday. Before retiring, he was chief X-ray technician at a veterans hospital in New York. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

VIOLA L. AMORE, 81, of Hackensack died Tuesday. Before retiring 10 years ago, she was a secretary for Safeco Insurance Co., River Edge. She was a member of the Trinity Leisure Club and the Elks Lodge 658 Auxiliary, both in Hackensack.

ROSEMARY RENZ BARTOLOMEO, 59, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., formerly of Old Tappan, died Wednesday. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church, Northvale. She was a Third Order Carmelite.

CATHRYN SCANDARIATO CANGIALOSI of Garfield, formerly of South Hackensack, died Wednesday. She was a parishioner of Most Holy Name R.C. Church, Garfield, and a member of its Holy Name Society. She was a founding member of the Mothers Club of Most Holy Name School. She was a member of the South Hackensack Seniors.
Arrangements: Santangelo Funeral Home, Lodi.

DONALD CASSE, 83, of Denville, formerly of Tenafly, died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1975, he was treasurer of E. A. Gonzalez Corp., New York City, where he worked for 35 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Arrangements: Norman Dean Home for Services, Denville.

WALTER MARK CHEMRIS, 76, of Spring Lake Heights, formerly of Ridgewood, died Wednesday. He had been a staff physician at The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. He was a former member of the Bergen County Medical Association and the American Medical Association. He was a 1946 graduate of Columbia University, New York City, and a 1951 graduate of New York Medical College.
Arrangements: O'Brien Funeral Home, Wall.

MARY C. CHIARELLA, 92, of Paterson died Thursday.
Arrangements: Minchin Funeral Home, Paterson.

MICHAEL J. DeCEGLIA, 57, of Wyckoff died Tuesday. He was an industrial paint salesman for Randolph Paint Products, Carlstadt. Previously, he was a customer service representative for Eastman Kodak, Fair Lawn, where he worked for 28 years. He was a member of the Church of the Nativity, Midland Park.
Arrangements: Olthuis Funeral Home, Midland Park.

LOUIS DRELICH, 81, of Kodak, Tenn., formerly of Garfield, died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1984, he was a chemical operator for Hoffmann-La Roche Inc., Nutley, where he worked for 17 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

HATTIE H. DUINKERKE, 95, of Wayne died Wednesday. She was a member of the Wayne Presbyterian Church, Wayne.

ROBERT WILLIAM FOSTER SR., 66, of Teaneck died Wednesday. Before retiring, he worked for Marcal Paper Co., Elmwood Park, for 41 years.

LEON JOSEPH GODLEWSKI, 72, of Clifton, formerly of Rutherford, died Thursday. He was the former president of A & D Equipment Co., North Arlington. Previously, he owned Captain Ski's Galley, Highlands. He was a Navy veteran. He was a parishioner of St. Paul R.C. Church, Clifton. He was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University and Texas A & M University.

NANCY LEE HAST, 52, of Dumont died January 20.
Arrangements: Cremation Society of New Jersey, Jersey City.

GEORGE J. KOCSES, 72, of Dover, formerly Clifton, died Thursday. He was an aviation inspector for Consolidated Instrument, Teterboro, where he worked for 30 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Paul R.C. Church, Prospect Park.
Arrangements: Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, Lakehurst.

ANNA JECKO LIPA, 87, of Clifton died Thursday. Born in Czechoslovakia, she came to the United States in 1939. She worked for Botany Mills, Passaic. She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, Passaic, and was a member of its Mothers Club. She was a member of the Seniors, Clifton.
