Before retiring, he was a factory worker for Phoenix Footware, Secaucus.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.

ELEANOR MARTIN of Englewood died Saturday.
She had been a seamstress for DeMotts Clothing, Englewood.
She was a parishioner of St. Cecelia R.C. Church, Englewood.
Arrangements: Barrett Funeral Home, Tenafly.

JAMES A. McGOVERN, 78, of Ho-Ho-Kus, formerly of Bogota and Fair Lawn, died Friday.
Before retiring in 1982, he was an accountant for Western Electric, New York City.
He was a parishioner of St. Luke R.C. Church, Ho-Ho-Kus.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Ridgewood Hobbyists, the Ho-Ho-Kus Seniors, and the Chief Justice White Council of the Knights of Columbus, Teaneck.

VERONICA VERES NARCISO, 85, of Allendale died Friday.
She was a parishioner of St. Paul R.C. Church, Prospect Park.

ELIZABETH O'CONNELL, 86, of Cresskill died Friday.
She had been a chef for the Lounge in Tenafly.
Arrangements: Moritz Funeral Home, Closter.

GLORIA TORSIELLO PASSADOR, 62, of Lodi died Friday.
She was a parishioner of Mount Virgin R.C. Church and was a member of the Daughters of Mary, both in Garfield.
Arrangements: Alesso Funeral Home, Lodi.

THERESA UDENBURGH POLO, 71, of Maywood, formerly of Englewood, died Thursday.
Before retiring, she was a secretary for St. Cecelia R.C. Church, Englewood.
She was also a parishioner of St. Cecelia Church and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
Arrangements: Barrett Funeral Home, Tenafly.

DAVID LEE RIGHTMYER, 55, of Pomona, N.Y., died Friday.
He had been superintendent of the Ridgefield Park public school system and previously of the Nanuet, N.Y., public school system.
He was a graduate of the Peabody Teachers College of Vanderbilt University and received a doctorate in education from Columbia University.
He was a member and elder of Germonds Presbyterian Church, New City, N.Y.
Arrangements: Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, New City.

MARGARET "PEGGY" ROBERTS, 76, of Clifton died Friday.
During World War II, she served as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Waves as private secretary to the commander of the Western Sea Front Weather Bureau in California.
She was a parishioner of St. Clare R.C. Church, Clifton, where she was founder and publisher of the parish bulletin.
She was past president of the League of Women Voters, Clifton.
She was a 1943 graduate of Douglas College, New Brunswick, where she was a member of the Alumni Association.

OLGA MARIA NEIRA SANCHEZ, 56, of Teaneck died Friday.
She was born in Ecuador.

HILDA SIERSMA TERPSTRA, 100, of Midland Park died Friday.
Before retiring, she was a weaver for Granite Mills, Midland Park.
She was a member of the Midland Park Christian Reformed Church.

LAWRENCE R. VANORE, 78, of Lodi, formerly of Union City, died Saturday.
Before retiring in 1992, he was a tool and die maker for Etamco, Newark, and Eisen Metal, Lodi, where he worked for 50 years.
An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4591, Hasbrouck Heights.
He was a member of the Senior Citizens Club, Lodi.

MATILDA GAROFANO VILLANO, 100, of Paterson died Thursday.
Born in Italy, she came to the United States in 1909.

PETER J. WIARDA, 69, of Elmwood Park died Friday.
He owned Sunrise Environmental Services, Elmwood Park, for 17 years.
