Gallagher, Sarah
(nee Tarditi) An amazing wife and mother lost a courageous battle with Leukemia on November 6, 2007, at the age of 31. Sarah lived in Philadelphia, PA and is formerly of Haddonfield, NJ. She is the beloved wife of Michael Gallagher and the loving mother of Macallister John Gallagher. She is also survived by her parents, Jack and Barbara Tarditi, of Haddonfield, her mother-in-law, Jane Gallagher, of Newtown, PA, a sister, Aimee T. Heslin (Christopher), 2 brothers, Dr. Daniel J. Tarditi (Kelly), and Matthew J. Tarditi, her grandmother, Marion Chorley, all of Haddonfield, a brother-in-law, JP Gallagher (Sonnie) and six nephews and three nieces. Sarah’s family will receive friends Friday from 8:30 – 10:45AM at the First Baptist Church of Haddonfield, 124 E. Kings Hwy., Haddonfield, NJ 08033. A Memorial Service will begin promptly at 11AM. Interment will be private. LEYENDECKER, EDITH U.
(nee James) On Nov. 1, 2007, age 78, a lifelong Haddonfield resident and wife of the late Henry. Survived by her sister-in-law, Helen M. James of Westmont, 2 nieces, Sandra D. Manning (Harry) of Magnolia and Linda L. Peterson (Steven) of Mt. Laurel, 2 nephews, Dennis B. James (Laura) of Estero, FL and Curtis B. James (Beverly) of Williamstown, 12 great nieces and nephews and 2 step grandchildren, Lori A. Metrone of Collingswood and Kirk H. Leyendecker of MT. Mrs. Leyendecker was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star (O.E.S.) for 60 years and served as a Past Worthy Matron. Additionally, she had been a secretary at the Haddonfield Central/Junior School for over 30 years and was a member of the Haddonfield Fire Co. # 1 Women’s Auxiliary. Mrs. Leyendecker’s family will receive friends on Monday Evening after 7 PM at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield, NJ. Beginning at 8 PM there will be an O.E.S. service followed by a traditional religious Service. Interment, private. Dorothy A. H. Leonard (nee Harvey), a resident of Gloucester City, died on October 28, 2007, aged 82. She was the sister of Ruth T. H. Mavronikolas (Christopher G.) of Haddonfield.

(nee Vorhis) On Oct. 20, 2007, of Voorhees, formerly a longtime Haddonfield resident and wife of the late Paul W. Survived by her children, Muriel Corey of Haddon Twp. and her son Warren R. of Moorestown, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Services were private. Wilson, John F., Jr., Esq.
On September 13, 2007, age 77, of Gibbsboro, NJ, formerly of Rutherford and Collingswood, NJ, loving husband of Dorothy (Stone) Wilson. Survived by his children, Patricia Wilson Hollenbach, Vernon, NJ; Barbara Wilson Farcher (John), Saugerties, NY; John III (Ann), Hampton, NJ; and Diane Wilson Pierce (Donald), Parsippany, NJ; and 9 grandchildren. (Formerly married to Joan Spreen Wilson.) Also survived by 4 stepchildren and 13 step-grandchildren. John was a WWII veteran, who served with the Marine Corps in the South Pacific. He had a successful insurance career and spent many years with Marsh & McClennan, NYC. While in his 50’s he changed careers and received his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden. He became a staff attorney with Community Health Law Project (CHLP), in Camden and also volunteered as an attorney with Camden Regional Legal Services/Senior Citizens Advocate Center, Camden and Center for Independent Living (CIL), of Gloucester County. In semi-retirement, John started his own practice, the “Law Office of John F. Wilson, Esq.” which he pursued until his death. Family and friends are invited to his celebration of life Memorial Service on Friday, Oct. 26th, 11 AM, in the Sanctuary of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick Rd., Haddonfield, NJ 08033. On October 15, 2007, age 86, of Haddonfield, NJ, loving husband of Esther Graf (nee Higgins) Gauntt and beloved husband of the late Olive Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Souder) Gauntt. Survived by his children, Robert R. (Toniann) Gauntt of Cherry Hill and Barbara Jo (David) VanDeusen of South Windsor, CT. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, Evan Robert and Lisa Elizabeth Gauntt, Daniel Robert and Phillip Richard VanDeusen, LeLanie Ann (Stephen) Rodgers, Christine Ann, Dana Ann and John Anthony Taulane, 3 great grandchildren, Kelly, Stephen and Ryan Rodgers. Also survived by 2 brothers, Frank P. and William B. (Doris) Gauntt, of Bridgeton. Bob graduated from Bridgeton HS in 1940 and from Temple University with a B.S. in business in 1946. He was a veteran of WWll; serving with the Marine Corps in the South Pacific. Bob had a successful career as a CPA, retiring as a partner from Bowman & Co. Locally, he had been a former Vice-President & Treasurer of the Camden County Council Boy Scouts of America, was a member of the Rotary Club of Haddonfield and proudly served on the Temple University’s Owl Club. Additionally, he was a member of the Haddonfield Symphony for 46 of its 48 years. Family and friends are invited to Mr. Gauntt’s Memorial Service, Friday, 11:30 AM, in the Sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield, 20 E. Kings Hwy, Haddonfield, NJ 08033. Survived by her nieces, Beverly Patterson (Pat) of Little River, SC and Connie Shivers (Russell) of Ocean City, NJ and several great nieces and nephews, including Shirley Miller.
