Morris of Bonita Springs, FL, 4 grandchildren, Karen Bowles, Robert Seidelmann, Sharon Moorhouse and Brian Reinhard, 2 brothers-in-law, Charles and John Crain and 4 sisters-in-law, Shirley Catts, Ethel Marsik, Alverda Bergstrom and Florence Dempsey. ROSE-CORRINGTON, ELIZABETH HOFFMAN
On Aug. 8, 2007, age 89, of The Evergreens in Moorestown, formerly a longtime resident of Haddonfield, for 37 years, the beloved wife of the late Dr. F. Leland Rose. She is survived by her husband, Murlan S. Corrington of Moorestown, 4 children, F. Leland Rose, Jr., of Houston, TX, Donald H. Rose, M.D., of La Jolla, CA, Robert M. Rose, M.D., of Spring City, PA and Janet Rose de Vry, of Kennett Square, PA, 6 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild. Mrs. Rose-Corrington graduated from Haddonfield Memorial HS in 1935, Mount Holyoke College in 1939 and obtained her Masters’ Degree from Columbia Univ. Teachers’ College. Since 1930, she had been an active member of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church; where she was a Sunday School teacher, board member, Past President of the United Methodist Women and a representative to the Council of Churches. Additionally, she was Past President of the Women’s Auxiliary to the Camden County Medical Society, a member of the Haddonfield Historical Society and a former member of The Haddon Fortnightly. Mrs. Rose-Corrington’s family and friends are invited to her Memorial Service, Saturday, 11 AM, in the Chapel at The Evergreens, 309 Bridgeboro Rd., Moorestown, NJ 08057. Interment, private. (nee Dunphey) On Aug. 8, 2007, age 94, a lifelong Haddonfield resident, wife of the late George O. and grandmother of the late Franklin J. Stewart, III. Survived by her daughter Janice I. Stewart of Haddonfield, her son George R. Cox (Carol) of Haddonfield, 4 grandchildren, Sherri Stewart VanSciver (Richard), George R. Cox, Jr. (Terri), Geoffrey R. Cox (Nancy), Amy C. Cox and 12 great grandchildren. For over 50 years, Mrs. Cox was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Haddonfield. She was the Church’s Philathea Bible Class President for many years. Additionally, she volunteered at theWest Jersey Hospital Auxiliary. WURST, MARY N.
(nee Yerger) On Aug. 2, 2007, age 83, of Cherry Hill, formerly of Haddonfield, an avid bridge player and wife of the late Paul W. Wurst and the late T. Robert Machesney. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Nathan & Sadie Yerger. Her father had been a Lutheran Minister in Quakertown for 35 years. She graduated from Quakertown High School and attended Moravian College. Mrs. Wurst held positions with IBM and Computer Sciences Corp. She is survived by her son, Thomas R. Machesney (Mary) of Edgewood, MD, her daughter, Ellen L. Coleman (Paul) of Erie, CO, and 2 grandchildren, Olivia Coleman and Michael Fitzhenry. Mrs. Wurst’s family will receive friends on Tuesday Evening, 7-9 PM, at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield. Her Service will follow on Wednesday morning, 11 AM, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Wayne Ave. & Wood Lane , Haddonfield NJ 08033. Interment, private. McCloy, Raymond J.
On August 2, 2007, age 86, a lifelong Haddonfield resident and husband of the late Marian (nee Wallace). Survived by 2 sons, Thomas W. (Mary Ellen), of Tabernacle, NJ and Jeffrey J., of Safety Harbor, FL and 2 grandsons, Kevin W. (Kristen) and Scott T. Mr. McCloy served as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate 1st Class in the U.S. Navy during WWII. As a Broadcast Engineer at WFIL in Philadelphia, PA, he worked with Dick Clark, Phil Sheridan and many others. After 38 years, he retired as Chief Engineer. Mr. McCloy was a founding father of the West Jersey Radio Control Model Airplane Club, serving as mentor and instructor to many members. Mr. McCloy’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, after 10 AM, at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield; where his Service will follow at 11 AM. Interment, Haddonfield Baptist Cem. Nowacki, Lottie
Nee (Balinski) Age 92, of Cherry Hill, passed away peacefully July 9, wife of the late Henry Nowacki and sister Elizabeth Gasior. She is survived by two sons and a daughter; Henry and Eleanor Nowacki of Trenton, Donald and Barbara Nowacki of California, and Mary and Ronald Fullerton of Ventnor, NJ. Her sister and brother in law, Anna and Marino DePasquale, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nices and nephews. A mass of celebration will be held at St. Pius X on Sat. Aug. 11th at 11:00AM.
KERN, Elsie M.
(nee Clark) On July 30, 2007, age 101, of The Fountains of Cedar Parke in Atco, formerly at longtime resident of Haddonfield and wife of the late Charles J. She is survived by her nephew George Clark and niece Paula Slobodnyak. Mrs. Kern was a longtime member of Tavistock Country Club. Mrs. Kern’s family and friends are invited to her Memorial Service, Tuesday, 12 Noon, in the Sancutary of the First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield, 20 E. Kings Hwy., Haddonfield. The family will receive friends following the service in the Church’s Parlor. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Kern’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
