(nee Schwaemmle) On May 14, 2007 age 97, of Cherry Hill, formerly a Haddonfield resident for over 51 years and the beloved wife of the late John H. Cunningham. She is survived by 2 sons, John H., Jr. and his wife, Irene, of Tinton Falls, NJ and David F. and his wife, Joan, of Severna Park, MD, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a sister, Mildred S. Lamar, of Hackettstown, NJ. Family and friends are invited to Mrs. Cunningham’s Memorial Service, Tuesday, May 22 at 3PM, in the Oak Room at Cadbury, 2150 State Hwy. #38, Cherry Hill, NJ. McLenigan, Mary
(nee Connelly) born August 28, 1916, in New Rochelle, NY, died Sunday, May 6, 2007, in Pitman Manor UMH, Pitman, NJ. Beloved wife of the late Michael F. McLenigan.
Mary is survived by her step-family, Thomas M. (Elizabeth) of Pitman, NJ, Michael F. of East Norriton, PA, Regina Phelan Haines (Edwin) of Ocean City, NJ, and their six children and twelve grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Anne Jerguson of Bellevue, WA, Agnes Connelly of Littleton, CO, Theresa Myers of Highland Ranch, CO, Margaret McInerney of Briarcliff, NY, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary became a resident of South Jersey in 1938. She was among the first lay employees of the Camden Diocese and served as a Bookkeeper/Office Manager for twenty-five years. In June 1964 she was a recipient of a Papal Benemerenti Award. A long-time resident of Haddonfield, NJ, Mary’s interests included wartime work as an Aeroplane Spotter and with the USO at Fort Dix and at New England General Hospital, Atlantic City. She was a guide for the Catholic Guild for All Blind and joined in her husband’s bird watching interests through the Pennypack Bird Watchers Club. In recent years she maintained active membership in local AARP clubs and the Catholic Golden Age.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Our Lady Queen of Peace RC Church, 161 Pitman Avenue, Pitman, NJ. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the Mass. Interment First Baptist Cemetery, Kings Highway, Haddonfield, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, OLQP, 161 Pitman Avenue, Pitman, NJ 08071.
Wetterhahn, Nancy
(nee Bellshot) On April 30, 2007, age 76, of Haddonfield, beloved wife of the late Alfred. Mrs. Wetterhahn is survived by her daughter, Susan H. Lobo and her husband, Keith, of Pebble Beach and Los Altos, CA, her daughter, Linda Dale Hoffa and her husband, Jerry Berenson, of Narberth, PA, and 3 grandchildren, Natalie Lobo, Alicia Hoffa Berenson and Laura Hoffa Berenson. Mrs. Wetterhahn was a long time member and Past President of the Haddon Fortnightly (1982-84), a member of Tavistock Country Club and the Union League of Philadelphia. Her family will receive friends, Wednesday after 10 AM in the Felten Parlor of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick Rd., Haddonfield, NJ. Services will follow in the Chapel at 11 AM. Blizzard, Laura
(nee Armstrong) On April 27, 2007, age 79, of Burlington, NJ, formerly of Williamstown, NJ, Cherry Hill, NJ and Ambler, PA, the beloved wife of Albert John “Jack” Blizzard for 58 years and mother of the late A. John Blizzard, Jr. Also survived by 2 daughters, Joanne Kingkiner and her husband David of Pocono Lake, PA and Sandra Betsch and her husband Charles of Hopewell Junction, NY, 1 daughter-in-law, Donna Blizzard of Voorhees, NJ and 5 grandchildren, Timothy Crawshaw, and wife Jill; Stephanie Hye, and husband Cory; Kelly Pearson and husband Matt; Christine Blizzard; and David Betsch. Mrs. Blizzard was a member of the Haddonfield Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Additionally, she loved music, flowers and her family. Mrs. Blizzard’s family and friends are invited to the Celebration of her Life on Saturday, 11 AM, at the Friendship Community Church, 601 Berlin-Crosskeys Rd., Sicklerville, NJ 08081; where her family will receive friends following the service. WOLF, ANNE R. (Nancy)
(nee Farrell) Age 79, passed away Friday April 20, 2007. Born in Haddonfield to the late George and Frances Farrell, she was a life long resident until 2006 when she moved to reside at The Fountains at Cedar Parke. She a graduate of Haddonfield Memorial High School (1945) and The Philadelphia College of Art (1949). Nancy was a display artist at Gimbles Department store in Philadelphia. She was a lifelong member of Christ the King Church in Haddonfield. Nancy is survived by her loving husband Jules “Jess” Wolf, son Christopher Wolf and his wife Lashley of Arlington, VA, her daughter Julianne Awot and her husband John of Audubon, NJ, her brother The Hon. George Farrell, III of Salem, NJ and three granddaughters, Alexis Wolf Byers, Veronica Wolf and Pamela Wolf. Nancy’s family will receive friends on Tuesday morning from 8:30-9:30 AM at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield, NJ. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10 AM, at Christ the King R.C. Church, 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield. Interment, private.
GEMBERLING, MARTHA B.
(nee Bishop) on April 18, 2007, age 88, of Haddonfield, NJ. Widow of the well known home builder Charles A. Gemberling and mother of the equally prominent builder Cheryl Gemberling Kozloff. Martha was active in the building business in the early years of her marriage, then turned her attention to community service. She helped develop the West Jersey Hospital Auxiliary along with her great friend Betty Stretch. She was a member of The Haddon Fortnightly, the Haddonfield Friends Meeting, and Tavistock Country Club, where she commanded respect as a fine bridge player. She was socially prominent for 50 years in Haddonfield by virtue of her kindness and generosity and her sharp insight into people's character. Mrs. Gemberling was a devoted involved grandmother to Kacy Kozloff. She delighted and assisted in her daughter Cheryl's outstanding career. She was also a great supporter of her son-in-law, Chick Kozloff, the author. Martha was born in a farm home in Elmer, NJ, and for her entire life inspired affection and respect from strangers, friends, and family. She is also survived by her great granddaughter, Samantha Alynda Sawtelle, sisters, Eleanor Buzby and Jane Schmidt (Eugene), and her sister-in-law, Jean Bishop.
Family and friends are invited to Mrs. Gemberling's Memorial service on Friday, 11AM, at the Haddonfield Friends Meeting, Friends Ave., Haddonfield. Interment private. RIDGEWAY, HELEN
(nee Yusk) On April 12, 2007, age 90, of Cherry Hill, formerly a longtime resident of Westmont and longtime manager at Bell Telephone. She was pre-deceased by her husband Walter T., Jr. Mrs. Ridgeway is survived by her nephew, William Yusk and her sister-in-law, Marguerite Yusk, both of Pennsauken, NJ. Mrs. Ridgeway’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10-10:45 AM in the Chapel at St. Thomas More R.C.
