On May 14, 2008, age 65, of Haddonfield, NJ, husband of Sara Jane (nee Morris) and father of Drew and Heather, all of Haddonfield. Also survived by his twin, Richard of SC and another brother Paul of IN. Mr. Carmody was an honors graduate of the University of Virginia. He served in several senior positions as a human resources Information Director/Vice President for State Farm Ins., Cigna Corp., and IBI of NYC. Additionally, he had his own private consulting practice. Mr. Carmody’s family will receive friends on Sunday Evening 7-9 PM, in Felten Parlor at the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick Rd., Haddonfield; where his Memorial Service will follow on Monday Morning at 11 AM, in the Sanctuary. Baker, Shirley
On May 14, 2008, age 80, of Cherry Hill, formerly a long time resident of Haddonfield, beloved wife of the late Stanley and father of the late Donna Lee Zalegowski and S. Randy Baker. Loving mother of Candace Baker Gottlieb, of Cherry Hill and Gary L. Baker, of North Port, FL. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, Nicole, Jennifer, Brian and Guido Baker, Justin, LaRagione, Brandon, Tyler and Clayton Gottlieb and Denise Kalamaras, 3 great grandchildren Joslyn and Jenna Kalamaras and Ciarra Marie Stanton and brother, Al (Bud) Williams, of Vail, CO. Mrs. Baker’s family will receive friends Saturday, 12 noon – 1:45PM, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Wood Lane & Wayne Ave., Haddonfield. Her Services will follow at 2 PM. MEAD, SAMUEL, Jr.
On May 8, 2008, age 93, of Gloucester City, husband for 48 years of the beloved late Barbara H. (nee Niland) and brother of the late Viola Wright. Survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Mead of West Hartford, CT and Margaret Cutter and her husband Howard, of Waconia, MN, 1 grandson, Howard Cutter, III of Arlington, VA, 2 sisters, Ruth Schmicker of Columbus, OH and Mary Shore of Cape Coral, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Mead served in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 744 and retired from the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines after 40 years of service. His family will receive friends Sunday Evening, 6-8 PM, at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End. Ave., Haddonfield, NJ. All are invited to his Graveside Service on Monday, 11 AM, at New St. Mary’s Cem., Bellmawr, NJ. Seaman, Frank E., Jr.
On April 30, 2008, age 96, of Wiley Mission, Marlton, NJ, a retired electrical engineer and lighting consultant for Westinghouse Electric Co. He is predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Agnes (nee Ames) and a daughter. Survived by a daughter, Virginia R. Walsh (John) of Columbia, MD; a son, Richard R. Seaman (Theresa) of Denville, NJ; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In 1911, Frank was born on Christmas Day in Trenton to Frank and Mabel (nee Holcomb). He graduated from Drexel Institute and was a member of Tau Beta Pi honor fraternity. Frank spent over 40 years with Westinghouse, working in Trenton, NJ; Montclair, NJ; Fairmont, WV; and Bala Cynwyd, PA. Additionally, he lived in Cherry Hill and Marlton, NJ for many years. He was an avid gardener, photographer, aquarist, won many bowling trophies and loved to write and sing. Frank was a longtime member of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church; where he volunteered for many years with the lighting and sound for the services.
Mr. Seaman’s family will receive friends on Friday, May 16th, 7-9 PM, at a Gathering at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave.,, Haddonfield, NJ. All are invited to his Memorial Service on Saturday, May 17th, 11 AM, in the Chapel at the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick Rd., Haddonfield, NJ 08033. Interment will be at the Ewing Church Cem., 100 Scotch Rd., Ewing, NJ following the Service. WRIGHT, WILLIAM E.
On April 29, 2008, age 87, beloved husband of Helen “Betty” (nee Needham) of Haddonfield, formerly of Ocean City, NJ. Also survived by his daughter, Joan I. DiMarco (the late William P.) of Westmont, his son William E., Jr. (Robin) of Haddonfield, 4 grandchildren, Brian and Todd (Jennifer) DiMarco, Michelle Piotrowski (Greg) and Greg Wright (Kathy) and 8 great grandchildren. Mr. Wright graduated from Collingswood HS and then served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theatre. He and his brothers owned Wright’s Diaries in Moorestown for many years. He was affectionately known as the “Cheeseburger Man” at The Bread Board in Haddonfield. Mr. Wright’s family will receive friends on Monday, 9:30-10:45 AM, at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield. His Service will follow at 11 AM. (nee Condie) On April 29, 2008, age 88, of Haddonfield, formerly of Feasterville, PA, and the beloved wife of the late Salvatore J. Mrs. Mirabello is the loving mother of Robert B. and his wife Donna, of Haddonfield and Richard J. and his wife, Denise, of Appleton, WI. She is also the loving grandmother of Douglas R., Jeffrey T., and Samantha Mirabello. Mrs. Mirabello’s family will receive friends Sunday afternoon after 3PM, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Wood Lane and Wayne Ave., Haddonfield, NJ 08033. Services will follow in the Sanctuary at 4PM. Interment will be private.
