William A. “Butch” Widmer Jr., age 88, of Somers Point, NJ, died Thursday, October 13th at his home with family by his side.
Born in Philadelphia and an Army veteran of WWII, Mr. Widmer raised his family in the Germantown section of the city. In 1966, he moved to Linfield, PA and was a plant manager at Publicker Distillery. He retired to his beloved shore home in Somers Point, NJ in 1980. Mr. Widmer, with his unfailing good humor and colorful storytelling, will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Widmer, his daughter, Suzanne VanHorn, and his dear friend, Roberta Hetrick.
He is survived by a son, William A. Widmer, III, of Evenston, IL, grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Alison, Emily and William IV, and great-grandchildren Rachael and Emma.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 18th at 10:00am at The Church of the Epiphany in Royersford, PA.

Passed away peacefully in his Glendora home on Friday, October 21, 2005. He was 83 years of age. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marjorie; five children, Steven, Marilyn McCarty, Debra, Patricia Nikirk and Robert; seven grandchildren, Darren, Sara, Michelle McCarty, Jami Shendock, Samantha, Chelsea and Robert; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Bryan.
Born in Hartford City, Indiana, he was a resident of West Chester, Pennsylvania before settling with his family in Glendora forty-one years ago. Mr. Eliker served as a sergeant with the United States Army for five years in the Middle East during World War II. Prior to retirement, he worked for 20 years as a postal inspector for the United States Postal Service. His professionalism and dedication to the job earned him the respect of those he served. He will be loved and remembered always. The family requests flowers not be sent.

Beloved wife of the late Gerald M. Gainsford. Loving mother of Paulette Kornicki of Sicklerville, Chuck G. Sweet of Atco, Anita “Candy” Neide and her husband Howard of National Park, Michael Sweet and his wife Ruth of Haddon Heights and Gerald Sweet of Chesilhurst. Dear sister of Chalmas Baggett of Laurel Springs. She is the grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of many. Anita is also survived by two very close and caring friends, Dolly and Jeannie as well as her caretaker, Ginny. She will be especially missed by her cats, Maggie and Tom.
Anita was an active member of the Atco United Methodist Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday from 9 to 11am at Atco UM Church, 2128 Atco Ave., Atco, NJ 08004. Funeral Services will begin at 11am. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Beloved husband of the late Edith M. (nee Welch). Loving father of Margaret Sardarian and her family of Haddonfield and James Watters and his family of Cedar Run, NJ. Proud grandfather of 5, great grandfather of 2.
Born on December 26, 1915 in Belfast, N. Ireland, Mr. Watters was Class President for Camden High School, Class of 1933. He graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY in 1942 as a Marine Engineer. From 1940 to 1946, Mr. Watters sailed as a member of the US Merchant Marine, starting as an Engine Cadet and progressing to Chief Engineer. He also served in the US Naval Reserve (Merchant Marine), Lt. (jg) from 1944 to 1953. Following his maritime employment, he held Operating Engineer positions with Roebling Steel, John Wanamaker, Graduate Hospital and Friends Select School. During the late 60’s he returned to the merchant marine and sailed on various ships as a marine engineer.
Mr. Watters was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church of Haddon Heights and Past President of the Haddon Heights AARP.
A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
