Devoted father of Raphael Knoll of Clementon, and James Knowles of Pine Hill. Step-father of Jerry Sharkey and his wife Debbie of Lindenwold, Patti Cravins and her husband Randy of Atco, Rita McAllister and her husband Marcus of Georgia, and Tina Sharkey of Clementon. Dear brother of Margaret DellaVecchia and her husband Mike of FL., Eugene Knoll and his wife Shirley of Franklinville, James Knoll and his wife Anna of Pine Hill, and Roseann Striewski and her husband Roger of Clementon. Proud grandfather of 15. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A special Thank You to long time friend Bob Bowen for being there for Harry during this most difficult time. Harry was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army. He was a member of the Berlin American Legion Post #271. God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be; we watched him suffer and fade away, although we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest. God only takes the best. Harry along with his family and friends spent many wonderful summers at Motts Creek and the Red Wing Camp Grounds. Harry loved riding his golf cart and asking Need a Cold One? He always had his cooler with him and a smile. Harry was the first Mummer Mascot up Broad St. in the winter of 1948 for South Jersey String Band, his last march up Broad St. was for his father in 1987. To all who knew him, lets pick up our glasses and toast to Harry. Cremation, Service, and Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. (nee Macon) Suddenly, on August 31, 2006 the Lord called home one of his true angels of W. Berlin, NJ. Age 72 years. Beloved wife of 53 years of Arthur Self, Sr. Devoted mother of Debra Carter McKinsey of Ft. Myers (Howard), Arthur Self (Liz Cooney-Self) of VA, Eric Self of W. Berlin, and her beloved Patches. She also leaves behind to mourn: her mother Evangelist Jessie M. Macon, her sister Dr. Doris M. Ross, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of friends and family. Among her many accomplishments, Maxine was recipient of the Camden County Martin Luther King Award, a Life Member of the Berlin IC Ambulance Assn where she volunteered for over 25 years, a member of the Red Hat Society, and before her retirement in 1996, was employed by the Camden County Highway Department for 25 faithful years. Prior to that she had worked for Motor Vehicles in W. Berlin for 10 years. She was a true friend to many; her passing leaves an emptiness that will turn into a lasting memory to all the lives she touched. Devoted father of Linda Wilson and her husband Howard of Atco, and Robin Argoe and her husband Mort of Voorhees. Proud grandfather of Zachary Wilson, Kelly Argoe, and Elliott Wilson. Dear brother of Ruth Murray of Atco, and Doris Fischer of Florida. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. Mr. Fuhrer was a decorated Army veteran who served in WWII as part of Patton’s 3rd Army, participated in the invasion of Normandy for which he later received commendations. He fought bravely at the Battle of the Bulge and continued with the 3rd Army to liberate the Dachau concentration camp. Mr Fuhrer was a self-employed builder and craftsman in the Atco and Berlin area for many years. He produced handmade furniture and cabinetry.
