(nee Weychert) On March 4, 2008, age 79, a longtime resident of Collingswood and beloved wife of the late Leonard. Loving Mother of Lenore (Andrew) Hankin of Sewell, Nancy (Gary) Papa of Collingswood, John (Cindy) Hargrave of Nicholson, PA, Karen Emmerling of Collingswood, Jeanne (James) Jorquez of Sicklerville, Lt. Col. David (Caryn) Hargrave of Queens, NY and Donna (Joseph) Emmerling of Mt. Laurel. Also survived by 2 sisters, Marie Leber of Troy, NY and Florence Peterson of Plymouth Meeting, PA, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Mrs. Hargrave’s family will receive friends on Friday, 9:30-10:45 AM, at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield; where her Service will follow at 11 AM. Interment, Lakeview Mem. Thomas, Helen L.
(nee Hermann) 75 years died peacefully on the morning of Jan 31st. Helen was predeceased by her husband Robert C. in 1982. She is survived by 4 sons, David of Oaklyn, Steven of Evesham Twp., R. Wayne (Irene) of Cape Coral, FL, and Michael (Leanne) of Marlton. Helen is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
After Bob's passing Helen moved to Cape Coral with her son Wayne and his family; where she continued to feed her passion for bingo. Helen and Bob were both graduates of Collingswood HS. They were envied by their sons as a great example of how a devoted couple can continue to grow and prosper together in a loving relationship. After a 25 year physical separation after Bob's passing, they are now together forever in heaven.
A memorial service will be held on March 8th at 2pm at the Kain-Murphy Funeral Home, 15 West End. Ave., Haddonfield. Memorial donations can be made in her honor to the St. John of God School, 1145 Delsea Dr., Building C, Westville Grove, NJ 08093.
Asquith, Dr. Glenn H., Sr.
Died Friday, February 29, 2008 in Dover, TN at the age of 103. Born in Knoxville, TN, on October 21, 1904, he was married to Helen Underdown Asquith (ofHaddonfield, NJ) for 72 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Nancy Asquith of Dover, TN and Helen Lawrence of Media, PA, a son, Dr. Glenn H. Asquith, Jr. and his wife, Connie, of Macungie, PA, and four grandchildren. Ordained in the American Baptist Churches, USA, Dr. Asquith served as pastor of American Baptist churches in Manyunk (Philadelphia) PA, Salem, NJ, Westerly, RI, Hartford, CT, Lowell, MA, and Montclair, NJ. He also served as Executive Minister of the New York State Baptist Churches, Executive Minister of the PhiladelphiaBaptist Association, and as Editor-in-Chief of the American Baptist Publication Society at the national offices in Valley Forge, PA. In retirement he served many interim pastorates, including First Baptist Church of Haddonfield, NJ, where he was named Pastor Emeritus. He was the author of 14 books and many articles on church life, the spiritual life, and spiritual issues of aging. Dr. Asquith's family will receive friends on Tuesday, 11 AM- 12:45 PM at the First Baptist Church of Haddonfield, 124 Kings Hwy E., Haddonfield, NJ; where his Service will follow at 1 PM. Interment, Haddonfield Baptist Cem. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Church at the above address.
MILLER, MILDRED F. "Millie"
(nee Parker) On Feb. 26, 2008, age 94, of Riverton, formerly a longtime resident of Haddonfield and wife of the late Cecil J. Survived by her daughter Jacqueline A. Prehn of Willingboro, her son Craig J. (Barbara) of Warrenton, VA, 5 grandchildren, Donna Beals, Scott Prehn, Cheryl Prehn, Drue Prehn and Stephen Miller and 5 great grandchildren, Katie, Robert, Steven, Nicholas and Joe. Mrs. Miller was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Haddonfield for over 60 years. She had been a Sunday School teacher and sang in the Choir. Mrs. Miller’s family and friends are invited to her Memorial Service, Saturday, 10 AM, at the First Baptist Church, 124 E. Kings Hwy., Haddonfield; where her family will receive friends after the Service. Interment, private. KECK, DONALD M.
On Feb. 21, 2008, age 86, of Voorhees, formerly of Cherry Hill and husband of the late Bette Jane (nee Williams). Survived by 1 daughter, Barbara E. Keck of DE, 2 sons, D. Michael of Cherry Hill and James H. of Mt. Laurel, 6 grandchildren, Matthew, James, Daniel, Jonathan, Allison and Kathleen and 1 sister Mary Simon of Mt. Laurel. Mr. Keck graduated from Audubon HS in 1939 and was State Pole Vault Champion that year. He continued his love of track and field as an Official in his later years. Additionally, he was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Keck’s family and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 11AM on Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Wood Lane and Wayne Avenue, Haddonfield. The family will greet friends immediately following the services. Interment will be private. Davidson, Margaret D. “Mimo”
(nee Ansaldo) On February 21, 2008, age 77, of Westmont. She was the beloved and devoted mother of Cathy Eskew, of Oaklyn, Mickey Tesoro, of Westmont and Joey Tesoro (Angel), of Woodlynne. She was also the loving and caring grandmother (Mimo) to Jesse Seymour (Sue), Jamie Schaefer (Michael), Kris Mustacchio (Jennifer), Shane Holmes, and Stephanie Cokos. Also survived by 2 great grandchildren, Jesse, Jr. and Savannah Seymour and 3 sisters, Sally Tedesco, Mary Grosso and Joanne Anthony. “Marge” was a long time waitress for the Crystal Lake and Newton Diners in Haddon Twp. – She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends that she happily and lovingly served. Family and friends are invited to Mrs. Davidson’s Memorial Service, Wed., 7PM, at Kain-Murphy Funeral Home, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield. Interment private. MANGAN, DEBORAH
(nee Watt) On Feb. 15, 2008 after a long battle with breast cancer, age 61, a lifelong Haddonfield resident and beloved wife of Thomas J. Also survived by her sister, Susan W. Gowen (Ernest L.) of Olympia Fields, IL, her sisters-in-law, Mary K. Cahill of Lake George, NY and Ann M. Engle (Stephen) of Binghamton, NY, 2 nieces, Maureen A. & Kathryn L. Cahill, 4 nephews, Thomas R. & Daniel S. Engle and Daniel W. (Susanne) & Timothy R. Gowen and 1 great-nephew, Matthew C. Gowen. She was predeceased by her parents George N. & Harriet (nee Widerman) Watt. Mrs. Mangan graduated from Haddonfield Memorial HS in 1965 and Moravian College in Bethlehem in 1969. She was Vice President of Compliance at Colonial Penn Insurance Co. in Philadelphia for many years. Then she became Vice President/Comptroller of LEAD Technologies in Haddonfield. Mrs. Mangan’s family will receive friends, Tuesday Evening, 6-9 PM, at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield, NJ.
