MOGCK, John J., Jr
John J. Mogck Jr, a resident of Haddonfield, died on May 30, 2008, aged 86.
Survivors: wife, Marion Connie (nee Carroll); son, John J. III (Jingyan) of Voorhees; brother, Thomas (Eleanor) of Haddonfield; sisters, Marie Diefendorf of Audubon and Betty Spinosi (Eli) of Malaga; step-granddaughter, Iris Tian; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Mogck attended Holy Name Elementary School and then Camden Catholic High School. His studies at St. Francis College in Loretto PA were interrupted by his service with the US Army during World War II.
A member of the Third Army’s 115th Gun Battalion, he saw action in France, Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg, He was awarded 6 battle stars and the Bronze Star.
In 1945 Mr. Mogck returned to Camden and joined the Fire Department. He moved up through the ranks and in 1982 became the 17th Chief of the City of Camden Fire Department.
Funeral Mass: Wednesday, June 4 at 9:30 AM, at St. Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Road, Haddon Township.
Interment: Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.

SHERLOCK, John H.
John H. (“Jack”) Sherlock, a resident of Voorhees, formerly of Haddonfield, died on April 7, 2008, aged 79. He was predeceased by his former wife, Mary T. (nee Lally) and his brother, Bruce H. of Calais ME.
Survivors: daughters, Patricia McShane (Kevin) of Voorhees and Kate Guiliano (Nicholas) of Cherry Hill; sons, Terence (Janet) of Marlton and John B. of Audubon; grandchildren, Kate and Jennie Sherlock, Kevin, Daniel and Brian McShane, Kristin Sherlock, and Nicholas and Ava Guiliano.
Mr. Sherlock was the former manager of the Corporate Trust Services of the Campbell Soup Company and a former comptroller of a Campbell Soup subsidiary, Northeastern Products Services Division.
He enjoyed recreational aviation, was a volunteer for Interfaith Caregivers, and served as an usher at Christ the King Church.
Family Visitation: Wednesday, April 9 after 7pm at Hinski-Tomlinson Funeral Home, 81 Haddon Avenue N; and Thursday, April 10 from 8:30 to 9:30am.
Funeral Service: Thursday, April 10 at 10am at Christ the King Church, Wood Lane and Hopkins Avenue.
Interment: Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill.

PALO, Leon J.
Leon J. (“Professor”) Palo, a resident of Haddon Township, formerly a longtime resident of Haddonfield, died on March 19, 2008, aged 77.
Survivors: wife, Ellen Jane (“EJ”) (nee Tuck); sons, Leon J. Jr (“Lee” ) (Julann) of Haddon Township, Francis J. of Haddonfield, Michael V. of Haddon Township; daughter, Margaret Ann Martinez (Dan) of Haddon Heights; 6 grandchildren; 1 brother, Vincent.
Mr. Palo graduated from LaSalle High School (Philadelphia) and Glassboro State College and received a master's degree in mathematics from Rutgers University. He served in the US Navy for four years during the Korean War. He was an educator in the Lenape School District (Cherokee High School) for more than 30 years and a professor of mathematics at Rutgers University for 23 years.
Mr. Palo was active in his community and enjoyed vacationing in Ocean City with his family. He started the soccer program at Shawnee High School with a first league championship in 1973 and coached Little League in Haddonfield for the Haddon Fire Co. team. In the early years at St. Vincent Pallotti Parish, he was an active member of the Men’s Club.
Family Visitation: Tuesday, April 1 from 9 to 10:45am at the Church of St. Vincent Pallotti, 901 Hopkins Road, Haddon Township.
Funeral Service: 11am.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.

WINTON, Joan M.
Joan M. Winton (nee Streahle), a resident of Cherry Hill, formerly of Haddonfield, died on February 7, 2008, aged 79.
Survivors: sons, Robert (Linda) of Haddon Heights, John (Eileen) of Sicklerville, Thomas (Sharon) of Voorhees, Richard of Maple Shade, William (Carol) of Audubon, George (Denise) of Hainesport, James (Jessica) of Haddonfield; daughters, Janet Pulsone (Rocco) of Cherry Hill, and Patricia of Marlton; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
Mrs. Winton was active at Christ the King Parish, preparing meals for the Cathedral Kitchen and assisting with the House of Charity.

DANIELS, Edna
Edna M. Daniels (nee Cooney), a longtime resident of Haddonfield, died on June 16, 2007, aged 87. She was the wife of the late John W.
Survivors: Daughters, Edna Marie of Cherry Hill and Kathleen of Haddonfield; 2 grandchildren Matthew Daniels Russo and Lauren Daniels Russo; 1 great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Lynn Russo; numerous nieces and nephews.

CULLURAFI, Carmen
Carmen Cullurafi, a resident of Haddonfield, died on May 21, 2007, aged 86.
Survivors: wife, Mary Louise (nee Grant); nephews, John Gladych of Newport Beach CA and Rick Gladych of Victoria BC; nieces, Valerie Gladych of Chicago IL and Susanne Maicke of Western Springs IL.
Mr. Cullurafi was a graduate of Girard College and Temple University. He served with the US Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
Mr. Cullurafi worked at Fidelity Bank in Philadelphia for 25 years. He was a longtime member and treasurer of the 65 Club, and was active with its golf group. He participated in a variety of activities for senior citizens in Haddonfield, both at the Mabel Kay Hospitality House and elsewhere, and worked with the AARP’s program to help senior citizens prepare their tax returns.
Family Visitation: Tuesday, May 29 at 9:30am at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Wood Lane and Hopkins Avenue.
Funeral Mass: 11am.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken PA.

HAGGERTY, J.T.
John Thomas (J.T.) Haggerty, Jr. a resident of Haddonfield, died on April 8, 2007, aged 17.
Survivors: parents, Marianne Paoli and John Haggerty; brother, Christopher Squazzo; grandparents, John and Peggy Haggerty; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
J.T. enjoyed the outdoors, competing in various sports, traveling, and "hanging out" with his friends. He loved and was loved by his family, friends, and teammates.
Memorial Mass: 11am on Saturday, May 26, at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Wood Lane and Hopkins Avenue, Haddonfield
Reception: Immediately following the Mass, in the School Gymnasium.

Funeral service for J. T. Haggerty
The funeral service for J. T. Haggerty, whose body was found on the banks of Petty’s Island, Pennsauken, on the afternoon of Sunday, May 13, and identified positively on Friday, May 18, will be held on Saturday, May 26, at 11:00am at Christ the King Catholic Church, Wood Lane and Hopkins Avenue, Haddonfield.
Arrangements for a reception after the service have yet to be finalized.
