Dr. Paul T. Lauby, 78, of the LeisureTowne section of Southampton, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly. Dr. Lauby was an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ. From 1953 to 1968, he and his wife Edna served as missionaries at Silliman University in the Philippines. Dr. Lauby was President of the United Board for Christian Higher Education in New York City from 1969 until his retirement in 1989. During his retirement years he continued to travel to Asia and wrote two books on Asian education. He also served as minister of the non-denominational congregation at Pennswood Village, Newtown, PA. He and his wife moved to Southampton, NJ in 2001. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edna M. Lauby; his son Timothy; and his two daughters, Malinda and Jennifer.
