Carl G. Roberts
New Brunswick - Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Carl B.
Roberts, five-month-old son of Mr.& Mrs. Ulysses Roberts Jr., and
grandson of Mrs. Dorothy Wynn of Scotch Plains. He died Wednesday.
Other survivors are his paternal grandparents and a brother.

Mrs. Lydia Mahoney
Lebanon - Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Lydia H. Mahoney, 74,
of Cokesbury Rd., Sunday at 2 p.m. at her home. She died Thursday (Oct.
14, 1954) at her home after a long illness.
Born in Tewksbury Township, she was the daughter of the late John M. and
Elizabeth Teets. Her husband, George Mahoney, died 13 years ago.
The Rev. Henry P. Bowen of Lebanon Methodist Church and the Rev. Frank
Thomas Reed of Hackettstown Methodist Church will officiate at
services. Interment will be in Cokesbury Presbyterian Cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Burrell and Miss Sarah Mahoney
of Lebanon; two brothers, Earl Teets of California and Rollan Teets of
Lebanon; and one grandson, Pvt. Donald Burrell, in Texas.

Benjamin L. Evans
Benjamin Lott Evans of 249 Orange Pl., died today (Oct. 15, 1954) in
Muhlenberg Hospital, where he had been a patient one week. He was 65,
and the husband of Celia Williams Evans.
Born in Pittston, Pa., Mr. Evans had resided in Plainfield for over 40
years. For the same length of time he was employed as an appraiser for
the Manufacturers Appraisal Company of Philadelphia. He was a member of
the Plainfield Aerie of Eagles 866.
He leaves, besides his widow, a brother, Thomas G. Evans of Buffalo,
N.Y., a niece, Ceil Williams, who made her home with Mr.& Mrs. Evans,
and several other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the
Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence E. Getz, pastor of the
First Presbyterian Church, Dunellen, in charge. A prayer service will
be held at the funeral home Monday at 9:30 a.m. and interment will
follow in Hillside Cemetery.

Miss Anna Cook, 82
Miss Anna Cook, 82, of the Catherine Webster Home, Franklin Pl., died
yesterday (Oct. 14, 1954) at Villa Maria Sanatorium, North
Plainfield.
A native of Plainfield, Miss Cook was the daughter of the late Alfred D.
and Elizabeth Cook. She was a member of Crescent Avenue Presbyterian
Church.
Surviving are a sister, Miss Margaret cook of Catherine Webster Home and
one cousin, Charles S. Cook of 711 First Pl.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. at A.M. Runyon &
Son, "Home for Services", 900 Park Ave. with the Rev. Ralph T. Haas,
pastor, of Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment
will be at Hillside Cemetery.

Mrs. Alfred Giddes
Graveside services for Mrs. Elizabeth McNair Giddes, 89, of Dansville,
N.Y. and former resident here, will be held in the Presbyterian Cemetery
tomorrow at 11 a.m. under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home.
The Rev. Edward J. Gonzalez, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, will
officiate.
Mrs. Giddes, who is survived by her husband, Alfred, was born in
Hatborough, Pa. and taught in schools in Dansville. She was a member of
the Dansville Presbyterian Church and the Sunshine Circle of the King's
Daughters of which she was a past president.
She died in Dansville Oct. 7.

Mrs. Mary Piano
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary (Parlapiano) Piano, 61, will be held from
Scarpa Funeral Home Saturday (Oct 16) at 9:30 a.m. with Solemn High Mass
of Requiem at St. Bernard's Church at 10 a.m.
Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Piano died Wednesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Apgar,
25 Victoria Ave., Dunellen, where she lived.

Mrs. Louise Pryor
Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Janney Pryor of 37 Duer St. were held
at 11 a.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. H. Neville
Tinker of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in charge. Interment was in Bound
Brook Cemetery. Mrs. Pryor died Tuesday at the age of 79.
Yesterday evening, Camp 105 of the PO of A held services in the funeral
home, followed at 8:15 by the Winfield Scott Women's Relief Corps of
Plainfield.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Frances McKay Woods of 204 Grove St., who
died yesterday, will be held at the Memorial Funeral Home tomorrow at 2

Mary G. Davis
Mary G. Davis of 110 W. Fourth St. died yesterday (Oct. 14, 1954) at the
Middlesex Nursing Home, Metuchen. She had been a resident of this city
for two years, coming here from Ocean City.
She is survived by two sons, Nelson of Drexel Hill, Pa., and Harold of
Ocean City; a daughter, Mrs. R.D. Williams of South Orange; two sisters,
Mrs. Bessie McLaughlin of Reading, Pa., and Mrs. Gladys Gwillym of
Atlantic City; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at the Hall Funeral Home in
Lansford, Pa. Arrangements are being made by the Runyon Funeral Home of
Metuchen.

Miss Isabel Wilson
Miss Isabel Wilson, 90, of 727 E. Front St., died yesterday (Oct. 14,
1954) at her home after a lengthy illness. She was a resident of
Plainfield for one year, coming here from Brooklyn, her native city.
Surviving are a sister, Miss Fanny Tuttle, at home; three nephews,
Howard, Nelson, and Everett Boise, all of Plainfield, and four nieces.
Funeral services will be private at All Souls Unitarian Church, Park
Ave., tomorrow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Mortimer Gessner, pastor,
officiating. Interment will be private under direction of A.M. Runyon &
Son "Home for Services.

Mrs. Charles E. Pope
Bernardsville - Mrs. Josephine S. Pope, mother of Police Chief Clarence
E. Pope, died Wednesday (Oct. 13, 1954) at her home at 22 Burrows Ave.
after a long illness. She was 81. Born in North Plainfield, she was
the widow of Charles E. Pope, who died in 1952. She had lived here for
the last 60 years.
Mrs. Pope leaves another son, Russell of Bernardsville; a daughter, Mrs.
Charles F. Miller of Basking Ridge; two sisters, Mrs. L.G. Henry of
North Plainfield; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held today at the Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 9 Church
St. Rev. Edward N. Maxwell, rector of St. Bernard's Episcopal Church,
will officiate. Burial will be in Somerset Hills Cemetery, Basking
Ridge.

Mrs. Josephine Ross
Somerville - Mrs. Josephine K. Ross of 165 W. Cliff St. died at her
residence yesterday (Oct. 14, 1954). She was 66.
Surviving are two sons, William Ross, New Brunswick, and James Ross, at
home; four daughters, Mrs. Richard McKiernan, Somerville; Mrs. Rene
Williams, Pottersville; Josephine and Charlotte Ross at home; a sister,
Mrs. Beatrice Stebbins of Allentown, Pa; a brother, Edward H. Cole of
Philadelphia; and seven grandchildren. She was the widow of the late
James Ross.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. from the Maxwell
Funeral Home with the Rev. David R. Evans, pastor of the First Reformed
Church, of which Mrs. Ross was a member, officiating. Interment will be
in the New Cemetery.

Mrs. Kathrin Benedick
Neshanic - Mrs. Kathrin Benedick, 52, of Zion Rd., died yesterday (Oct
14, 1954). She was a native of Czechoslovakia.
Surviving are two sons, Frank of Neshanic, and Martin, with the Air
Force in Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Cusick
Funeral Home, Somerville, with the Rev. Robert G. Petersen of the Good
Shepherd Lutheran Church of Somerville, officiating. Interment will
follow in Neshanic Cemetery.

Mrs. Fanny Lichtenstein
Somerville - Mrs. Fanny Lichtenstein, 80, of 15 S. Doughty Ave., died
yesterday (Oct 14, 1954) at Somerset Hospital after a short illness.
She had been a resident here for 42 years. Her husband, Phillip, died
in 1939.
She was a member of the Congregation Anshe Chesed. Services will be
held at 10 a.m. in the Sutphen Funeral Home. Rabbi Issac Wasserman of
Congregation Anshe Chesed will officiate. Interment will be in the
congregational cemetery, Bridgewater Township.

Harrie C. White
Bennington, Vt. - (AP) - Harrie C. White, 78, a past president of the
National Toy Manufacturers Association, and president of the family
concern, the H.C. White Company, makers of the kiddie car, died
yesterday.
