MADELINE MELLOW MALINOFSKY, 81, of South River died July 20 at home. He husband, Walter "Red" Malinofsky, died in 1984. Surviving are five sons, Walter of Glendale, Calif., William of East Brunswick, Thomas of South River, Richard of Peachtree City, Ga., and Gary of Bensalem, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment

EDWARD J. KATH, 88, of East Brunswick died July 16 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He served as vice president of the East Brunswick Commission on Aging, and was named a member emeritus. He served as a member of the executive board of the East Brunswick Senior Center since its inception in 1982. His wife, Mary, died in 1978. Surviving are a son, Byron of East Windsor; a daughter, Nancy, at home; three granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment
was in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia section of Woodbridge.
ESTELLE S. BANASIAK, 84, of Old Bridge died July 21 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Her husband, Edward S. Banasiak, died in 1983. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Edward Banasiak of Colts Neck and Gene Banasiak of Annapolis, Md.; three sisters, Mary Kizlinski of the Toms River section of Dover and Bertha "Honey" Gwizdz and Harriet Roesinger, both of Bayonne; and two grandsons. was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
LUCIENNE "LUCY" VanRAEMDONCK BECK, 79, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died July 27 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Robert G. Beck, died in 1983. LILLIAN A. HOFFMAN, 83, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge died July 23 in Franklin Care Center, Franklin Park. She was predeceased by her husband, William Norris Hoffman, and by a son, William Hoffman. Surviving are a granddaughter, Melissa O’Callaghan of West Milford; a grandson, William Hoffman of Hillsborough; and four great-grandchildren. MARY J. KLOSOWSKI, 79, of Old Bridge died July 22 in Madison Care Center, Old Bridge. Her husband, Edward, died in 1982. Surviving are a son, Edward J. of New Brunswick; two daughters, Mary Ann Klein of Illinois and Phyllis F. GENEVIEVE MERSKI KOMINKIEWICZ, 92, of Sayreville, formerly of South Amboy, died July 23 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Felix Kominkiewicz, died in 1981. Surviving are a daughter, Edna Baran of South Elgin, Ill.; a sister, Florence Trojanowski of Sayreville; a brother, Edward Merski of the Parlin section of Sayreville; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren. JOANN LAZZARA, 49, of Freehold died July 20 at home. She was a banquet manager for Vans Greystone Manor, Freehold Township, where she was employed for the past eight years. Surviving are her husband, Vincent; two sons, Thomas and Michael Venetucci, and a daughter, Kristin Venetucci, all at home; her mother, Eleanor Giangrande of Freehold; two brothers, Peter Giangrande of Old Bridge and Robert Giangrande of Fort Lee; and two grandchildren. ILENE SALYARS McGUINNESS, 78, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died July 25 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Her husband, Edward F. McGuinness Jr., died in 1984. Surviving are four sons, Dana E. of Torrington, Conn., Edward F. "Mugs" III of Branchburg, Gary C. of Wilkes Barre, Pa., and Sean of Parlin; a sister, Esther Bendell of Fort Madison, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. JOANNE L. MONAHAN, 59, of the Morganville section of Marlboro died July 1 in Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia. She was a teacher at Collier High School, Wickatunk section of Marlboro, for the past 14 years. Surviving are her husband, Patrick J. Jr.; two sons, Patrick J. III of Freehold Township and Sean K. of Chicago; a daughter, Megan E. Monahan of Morganville; a brother, John O’Neill of Jersey City; a sister, Janet Genatt of Old Bridge; and two grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Church, Colts Neck.
