JARED SCOTT McLAREN, 20, of Old Bridge died Aug. 11 in Bayonne Medical Center. He was a student at Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken. Surviving are his parents, Charles and Linda Alt McLaren of Old Bridge, and a sister, Kelly, at home. A service was held at Freeman Funeral Home, Manalapan. Interment
was in Marlboro Cemetery.
JOHN P. KENNY, 72, of South Amboy died Aug. 8 in the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was employed by Don Schreiber Book Bindery, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge. Surviving are his wife, Mary Wojtaszek Kenny; three sons, John P. Kenny Jr. and James P. Kenny, both of South Amboy, and Mark K. Kenny of Knob Noster, Mo.; two daughters, Joyce Charmello and Jacqueline Kenny, both of South Amboy; a brother, James Kenny of Lakehurst; a sister, Marguerite Corvino of South Amboy; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment

MARYELLEN CREED MULEZ, 68, of South Amboy died Aug. 9 in Medicenter of Lakewood. Her husband, John F. Mulez, died in 1987. Surviving are a son, John F. Mulez Jr., and his companion, Margaret Chambers, of the Fords section of Woodbridge; two daughters, Shari Ann Sturtz of South Burlington, Vt., and Jayne Marie Flakken of Manalapan; three brothers, William Creed of the Whiting section of Manchester, Joseph Creed of South Amboy and Raymond Creed of Gouldsboro, Pa.; and six grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Entombment was in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
PETER E. RIZZO, 35, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Aug. 8 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Debra A. Chmielewski Rizzo; two sons, Kyle and James, and a daughter, Alexandra, all at home; his parents, Eva and Philip Rizzo of Union; and a brother, Kenneth Rizzo of Old Bridge. A service was held at Sayreville First Presbyterian Church. Entombment was in Holmdel Mausoleum.
FREDERICK P. METZ, 49, of East Brunswick, formerly of South River, died Aug. 6 at his brother’s home in Burlington. Surviving are a son, Christopher Metz of the Atco section of Waterford; three brothers, Charles Metz of South River, Martin Metz of Florence and Phillip Metz of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment
was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
FRANK CARDELLA, 62, of Spotswood died Aug. 12 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was employed as a courier for Quest Diagnostics, East Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Rose LaConte Cardella; a son, Lawrence Cardella of Miami; a daughter, Maria Keller of Spotswood; two brothers, Salvatore Cardella of Roseland and Carmine Cardella of Bloomfield; and a grandson. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on Aug. 16 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment will take place in Glendale Mausoleum, Bloomfield.
MARIANNA WYSZYNSKA, 92, of South River died Aug. 11 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Antoni. Surviving are three daughters, Jadwiga Wyszynska of South River and Stanislawa Wyszynska and Janina Wilmanowicz, both of Poland; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. GREGORY KISH, 47, of South River died Aug. 11 in South River. Surviving are his mother, Helen Kish of South River; three brothers, Gary and Kevin Kish, both of Spotswood, and Donald Kish of East Brunswick; and five sisters, LaVerne Mosco of New Brunswick, Maureen Smolinski of Sayreville, Lois Banko of East Brunswick, Marie Franchino of South River and Sharon Kish of the Somerset section of Franklin. JONATHAN VALENTINE, 19, of Freehold Township died Aug. 9 from injuries sustained in a car accident last week in Howell. He graduated from St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel, in 2001, where he was a member of the soccer, wrestling and track teams. He completed his freshman year at Lafayette College, Easton, Pa., where he played rugby. Surviving are his parents, Michael and Ana Valentine; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Yerana; a sister, Lisa; and paternal grandfather, Arthur. A funeral Liturgy was offered at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Freehold Township, followed by burial at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. MARIA "MAURA" SINKIEWICZ DASZKIEWICZ of South River died Aug. 14 in Old Bridge Manor. She was predeceased by her husband, Karl Daszkiewicz, and by three infant daughters. Surviving are four daughters, Olga Matasova of Minsk, Belarus, and Antonina Miedzwiadok, Kazia Gayshun and Pauline Terelmes, all of South River; a son, Stanley, also of South River; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
