Surviving are his wife, Angelina Gargiulo Loroesh; a daughter, Lisa Citron of East Brunswick; a brother, Carlo Loroesh of Florida; and two grandchildren. FRANK NIGLIO, 67, of Brick, formerly of East Brunswick, died March 29 in the Medical Center of Ocean County, Brick Town section of Brick. A son, Frank Niglio Jr., died in 1999. Surviving are his wife, Lyudmyla; a son, John of Nevada; two daughters, Denise Niglio O’Toole and Michelle Niglio Shimalla, both of East Brunswick; a stepdaughter, Natasha Tymoshenko; two sisters, Rose Marie Meyers of North Brunswick and Joyce Mulvihill of East Brunswick; and two grandchildren. was in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia section of Woodbridge.
ARTHUR P. CHRISTIE, 79, of Matawan, formerly of Old Bridge, died March 20 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. His wife, Catherine Christie, died in 1995. Surviving are his companion, Mary A. Oty of Matawan; a son, Robert Christie of Centerville, Ohio; two daughters, Patricia Valentino and June Gustavson, both of Laurel, Md.; a brother, John Christie of Garden City, N.Y.; two stepdaughters; one stepson; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. was in Ocean View Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y.
ANTHONY C. "TONY" FRANCIS, 90, of Hagerstown, Md., died March 19 in Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown. JEAN PONDISH, 64, of Howell died March 17 in Jackson Healthcare Center, Jackson. Her husband, John, died in 1995. Surviving are a son, John Jr. of North Carolina; three daughters, Denise Allen and Deborah Boyce, both of Old Bridge, and Joan Pondish of Jackson; three sisters, Lorraine Spinelli of Jackson, JoAnn Jaeger of Teaneck and Phyllis Adamo of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment
was in Flower Hill Cemetery, North Bergen.
WALTER RICHARD BUTCHER, 81, of East Brunswick died May 20 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Harriet Reidy Butcher; four sons, Richard of Jamesburg, Michael of Jerome, Ariz., James of Lakeside, Calif., and Gary of Monroe; five daughters, Carol Ann Church of Point Pleasant, Mary Ellen Gallo of the Oldwick section of Tewksbury, Deborah Simanek of the Cream Ridge section of Upper Freehold, Lorraine Reimbold of Roosevelt and Jean of Princeton; a sister, Grace Rogers of Montvale; 21 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment

PATRICIA A. SAFKA, 60, of Manalapan, formerly of Old Bridge, died March 18 in Aberdeen. She was the owner and operator of All About Bows, Aberdeen, with her niece and business partner, Elizabeth Purcell, for four years. Surviving are her husband, Fred M.; two stepdaughters, Melanie Shickirk of Florida and Stephanie Safka of Lake George, N.Y.; a brother, Leon Warnock of Jackson; a sister, Audrey Vaughn of Keyport; three step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. MARY SZAFRANSKI SPENCER, 89, of the Morgan section of Sayreville, formerly of South Amboy, died March 24 in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Her husband, Joseph W. Spencer, died in 1975, and a son, James Spencer, died in 1981. Surviving are four sons, John Spencer of Morgan, Arthur W. Spencer of Vacaville, Calif., Joseph Spencer Jr. of Bordentown and Robert Spencer of Woodstock, Ga.; two daughters, Mary Pollack of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge and Patricia Klosek of the Parlin section of Sayreville; 22 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. CAROLYN KNAPP CLARK, 69, of Sayreville died March 22 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. A son, David Clark, died in 1992. Surviving are her husband, Gilbert Clark; three sons, Gilbert Clark of Sayreville, John Clark of Jackson and Warren Clark of New York City; three sisters, Rosalind Gutkowski of Howell, Edna Jones of Rahway and Marge Jorgenson of Middlesex; a brother, Raymond Knapp of Chatham; and three grandchildren. JOSEPHINE GADOMSKI LEHOCKY, 79, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died March 23 in JFK Medical Center, Edison.
