HYMAN DAVIS, 97, of Manalapan died March 7 at home. He was predeceased by his wife, Anne, and by a son, Kenneth. Surviving are two sons, Jerry of East Brunswick and Monroe of Staten Island, N.Y.; a daughter, Michelle Stipleman of Manalapan; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Interment
was in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge.
WALTER GREKOSKI, 85, of the Whiting section of Manchester, formerly of South River, died March 9 at home. He was a former Republican Committeeman. His wife, Helen Kissel Grekoski, died in 1978. Surviving are a son, Thomas Grekoski, and a daughter, Myra Stewart, both of South River; a brother, Joseph Grekoski, also of South River; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment
was in Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Cemetery, South River.
JOSEPHINE C. CICHACKI SCHEER, 83, formerly of Helmetta, died Feb. 24 in Nathaniel Witherell Nursing Home, Greenwich, Conn. Surviving are two sons, Frank Scheer of Ogdensburg, N.Y., and Robert Scheer of Belle Mead; two daughters, Kathy Voorhees of Rumson and Lois Greenberg of Greenwich; and a sister, Frances Verb of Lavallette. A Mass was offered at Holy Trinity Church, Helmetta. Interment
was in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Monroe.
JOHN KOROSKO, 91, of East Brunswick died March 10 in Harbor Nursing Home, Lewes, Del. He was predeceased by two sons, Robert Korosko and George Korosko. Surviving are two sons, Alan Korosko of Spotswood and Joseph Korosko of New Brunswick; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment
is planned for 9 a.m. on March 14 in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
CARMEN J. MORENO, 64, of East Brunswick died March 8 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Euberto Saldarriaga. Surviving are a daughter, Piedad Del Monaco of East Brunswick; two sisters, Belia of Florida and Melba of Columbia; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 846 Main St., Fords, NJ 08863.
JANE KONOPACKI LAYESKI, 83, of South River died March 12 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Peter E. Layeski, died in 1995. Surviving are a son, Richard Layeski of Freehold; three daughters, Charlotte Bird of South Brunswick, Phyllis Cudworth of Lake Forest, Calif., and Marlene Anderson of Flemington; two brothers, Benjamin Konopacki of South River and Chester Konopacki of Edison; two sisters, Blanche Seminara of East Brunswick and Estelle Zavotsky of South River; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on March 15 at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment
will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
CARMEN A. VINCI, 77, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge died Feb. 28 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a chemical operator at Tenneco Chemical Co., Keasbey section of Woodbridge, where he worked for 35 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a communicant of St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor. He was predeceased by a brother, Carlo Vinci. Surviving are his wife, Lorraine Trezza Vinci; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Vincent and Debbie Vinci of Laurence Harbor, Carmen Vinci of Laurence Harbor, and Frank and Linda Vinci of Freehold Township; a brother, Vincent Vinci of Aberdeen; two sisters, Mary Ciszeski of the Belford section of Middletown and Faye Caprioni of Shrewsbury; and seven grandchildren, Liza, Heather, Robert, Vinny, Randy, Nicole and Alina. A Mass was offered at St. Lawrence Church. Interment
was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
DAVID J. COYLE, 59, of the Bayville section of Berkeley died Feb. 25 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was a professional mover for 26 years, most recently owning and operating Coyle’s Moving, formerly of Freehold. Surviving are his wife, Josephine; two sons, David Jr. of Freehold and Scott of Jersey City; four daughters, Jill Weeks of Freehold, Kelly Crivelli of Howell, Lorraine Coyle of Hoboken and Jennifer Coyle of Bayville; two brothers, Hugh of Parma, Ohio, and Philip of Old Bridge; a sister, Sheila Coyle of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
LOUISE J. TIMMINS DUGGAN, 70, of the Morgan section of Sayreville died Feb. 28 at home. Her husband, Eugene M. Duggan, died in 1984. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Duggan of South Amboy and Eugene Duggan of Morgan; two daughters, Carol O’Chat of Hazlet and Patricia Paul of Morgan; a sister, Patricia Dooling of South Amboy; seven grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. ROSE FESTION LANDRY, 61, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Feb. 28 in Meadow View Nursing and Respiratory Center, Williamstown. Surviving are two daughters, Rose Marie Rohifs of Long Island, N.Y., and Margaret Mary Amador of San Francisco; two sons, Richard Landry of Jersey City and Thomas Ward of Nevada, Iowa; her mother, Estelle Pusczc Logando of Apache, Ariz.; her father, Patrick Festion of Jersey City; a brother, Michael Festion of Lakeland, Fla.; three sisters, Sally Salerno of Apache, Margaret Sharrock of Parlin and Lucille River of South Amboy; and six grandchildren.
