YVONNE DEMERS URYNOWICZ, 73, of Hazlet died July 28 at The Center for Hospice Care, Long Branch. Born in Quebec, Canada, she lived in Jersey City prior to moving to Hazlet three years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry P. Urynowicz in 1999. She is survived by two son and daughters-in-law, John and Joan Bruno of Lopatcong, and Donald A. and Lillian Urynowicz of South Amboy; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marlene Mary and Steven Lord of Flanders, Maria Linda and Robert Torres of Hazlet, and Ann M. and Kenneth Majewski of Landing; her sister, Cecile Bastien of Canada; six brothers, Maurice Demers, Jean-Paul Demers, Ferdinand Demers, Emil Demers, Yvon Demers and Jean-Guy Demers, all of Canada; and 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be July 31 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral gathering will be Aug. 1 at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Interment
will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
THOMAS D. PICCIOLO, 86, of Middletown died July 28 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived there until moving to Middletown 28 years ago. He was a vice president and treasurer at National Printing and Folding Cards Inc., Brooklyn, retiring in 1994. He served with the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion-Pearson Post, Brooklyn. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances Castellano Picciolo of Middletown; three sons and daughters-in-law, Frank J. and Angelina Picciolo, Salvatore T. and Connie Picciolo, and Thomas D. and Maureen Picciolo, all of Monroe Township; his daughter and son-in-law, Josephine and Nick Agostinacchio of Middletown; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be July 31 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral gathering will be Aug. 1 at 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral liturgy at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Entombment will be at Woodbridge Memorial Park Cemetery. CECILA J. BRENNAN MEEHAN, 93, of Middletown died July 28 at Regency Park Nursing Center, Hazlet. Born in Jersey City, she resided there until moving to Middletown in 1952. She was a cashier for the Jersey City Board of Health for 20 years, retiring in 1975. She was a communicant of St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Meehan in 1977; and a son, Thomas Meehan, Feb. 8. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Meehan; her daughters-in-law Patricia Meehan and Shelia Meehan; her brother, Harold Brennan; four grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be July 31 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral gathering will be Aug. 1 at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral liturgy at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown. ESTELLE MACKIEWICZ, 88, of Hazlet died July 18 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Keyport for 10 years and moved to Hazlet two years ago. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Mackiewicz in 1983. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Hank and Barbara Mackiewicz of Long Branch; her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Harold Dale of Hazlet; her sister, Irene Moscinski of Jersey City; four grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. Interment

GLEN P. MORAVEC, 48, of Sea Bright died July 20 at home. Born in Newark, he lived in Eatontown prior to moving to Sea Bright four years ago. He was employed at Local No. 1456, New York City, since 1984, where he was also a member of its dockbuilder union. He is survived by his sister, Constance Moravec of Middletown; his son, Brian Moravec; and his daughter, Allison Moravec both of Eatontown.
RUSSELL F. TERHUNE, 49, of Middletown died July 20 as a result of injuries from a plane crash in Jackson. Born in Red Bank, he lived in Middletown most of his life. He was a sheet metal worker at Bonland, Wayne, for 29 years. He was a member of Sheetmetal Local No. 25, Carlstadt. He was an active airplane enthusiast, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 29 years and his daughter, Nancy Hock Terhune and Danielle Terhune of Middletown; his parents, Frederick and Wilma Terhune of Farmingdale; his brother, Earl Terhune of Jackson; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Ruth Rye of the Belford section of Middletown, Terrie Carney of San Diego, Calif., and Star and Stephen Krist of Farmingdale; and several nieces and nephews.
ROSEMARY D. RADZIEWICZ, 76, of Middletown died July 23 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Queens, N.Y., prior to moving to Middletown 17 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Catharine’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. She was a past president at American Legion Post No. 118, Woodhaven, Queens, N.Y., and volunteered at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Radziewicz in 1985. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kathleen Radziewicz of Sag Harbor, N.Y.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and George Kozlowski, and Debbie and Henry Ruhman, all of Middletown; her brother, Charles Nichols of Brooklyn, N.Y.; her sister, Julia Quinlan of Wassaic, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Catharine’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
MARGERIE J. PENROSE, 94, of North Fort Myers, Fla., and formerly Union Beach, died July 24 at Hope Hospice, North Fort Myers. Born in Newark, she lived in Union Beach; Hollywood, Fla.; and Keyport prior to moving to North Fort Myers eight years ago. She was a retired accounts receivable clerk at Landau/Puritan Knitting, Keyport. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church, Union Beach, for 30 years. Her activities included membership in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Union Beach First Aid Squad. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter E. Penrose in 1989; two brothers, Eric Hamilton and Carl Hamilton; and two sisters, Ebba Bender and Sigrid Luettau. She is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Charlotte and Richard Houtman of North Fort Myers, Fla., Elaine Eastmond of Union Beach, and Audrey Voorhees of Hazlet; her sister, Theo Rugg of Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.
JOHN J. BELICOSE SR., 86, of the Belford section of Middletown died July 26 at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. Born in New York City, he lived in Elmont, N.Y., prior to moving to Belford 19 years ago. He was a department head for A&P, Brooklyn, N.Y., for 38 years, retiring in 1977. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Lillian Kiffer Belicose of Belford; two sons, John J. Belicose Jr. of Malverne, N.Y., and Robert A. Belicose of Riveredge; his daughter, Carol Mauro of Stoney Brook, N.Y.; his sister, Ann Russo of Staten Island, N.Y.; four stepsons, Ralph Belicose of Highlands, Ray Belicose of Belford, Rob Belicose of the River Plaza section of Middletown, and Ron Belicose of Belford; three stepdaughters, Jeannette Gotz of Belford, Jackie Stoble of Middletown, and Joanne Gill of Belford; 25 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Burial was at St. John’s Cemetery, Queens, N.Y.
HILDA DZWILESKIE, 88, of Hazlet died July 13 at home. Born in Mount Carmel, Pa., she lived in Bloomsburg, Pa., prior to moving to Hazlet 16 years ago. She was an assembler for Lily Tulip Corporation, Holmdel, for 10 years. She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Dzwileskie in 2001; and her brother, George. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Salotti of Sewaren, Roberta Pisarczyk of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet, and Pat Hawkins of Middletown; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
