EMIL O. KIRSTEN, 89, of Matawan died June 27 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Germany, he moved to the United States in 1961 and resided in the West Keansburg section of Hazlet and Bloomfield prior to moving to Matawan. He was a molder for 18 years, retiring in 1981. His activities included playing the banjo, and membership in the Club 60, Matawan, and the Berliner Club, Union. He was predeceased by his son, Karl Heinz Kirsten in 1945. He is survived by his wife, Anna Weidemann-Kirsten of Matawan; his daughter and son-in-law, Renate and Paul Palmeri of Atlantic Highlands; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons. Burial was at Marlboro Cemetery

JEAN P. SHARESHIAN, 69, of Middletown died June 27 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in North Bergen, she relocated to Middletown in 1967. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Shareshian in 1985; and her brother, Eugene Ernest. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Jennie Shareshian of Middletown, with whom she lived; David and Eva Shareshian of Jackson; Alan and Lisa Shareshian of Bridgewater; and Paul and Susan Shareshian of Jackson; her daughter, Lynn Shareshian at home in Middletown; six grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and her niece. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
JOANNE McKEE, 47, of the Lincroft section of Middletown died June 28 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was born in South Amboy. She was a technician for Radio Frequency Systems, Marlboro, for 17 years. She was predeceased by her mother, Patricia Kuntne. She is survived by her father, John Keating of Union Beach; two brothers, Walter Keating of Howell, and Michael Keating of Union Beach; and two sisters, Patricia Marciniak of Union Beach, and Barbara Mason of Howell. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
WALTER BAUMANN, 94, of Hazlet died June 23 at home. Born in Newark, he lived there before moving to Hazlet 45 years ago. He was a cab driver at 20th Century Cab, Newark, for 38 years, retiring in 1965. He was predeceased by his wife, Elsie Jeskin-Baumann, this year. He is survived by his son, Walter Baumann of Augusta, Ga.; his daughter, Karen Broderick of Red Bank; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
CATHERINE M. MALLOY of Laurence Harbor died June 24 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Newark, she lived in the Bronx, N.Y., prior to moving to Laurence Harbor 30 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Martin Malloy, in 2000. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Pat Malloy of Laurence Harbor, and Kathy Balent of Middlesex; two sons, Ryan Malloy of Carbondale, Colo., and James Malloy of Keyport; and four grandsons. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Lawrence’s Roman Catholic Church, Laurence Harbor. Interment

KELLY A. O’DONNELL, 22, of Middletown died June 27 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Langhorne, Pa. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she lived in South Carolina prior to moving to Middletown 14 years ago. She was a staff accountant for J.P. Morgan Chase, Edison, for one year. She received her bachelor of science degree in criminal justice at the College of New Jersey, Ewing, and was planning on pursuing advanced degree studies. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Her activities included camping, field hockey and mountain biking, as well as the mentoring management group at J.P. Mortgage Chase. She is survived by her parents, Brian R. and Margaretanne Sheeran O’Donnell of Middletown; her brother, Brian M. O’Donnell of Middletown; and her grandmothers, Mary Sheeran of Staten Island, and Dorothy O’Donnell of Middletown. A funeral gathering will be July 3 at 8:45 a.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral liturgy will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown.
WILLIAM JOSEPH CLIFFORD, 71, of Middletown died June 25 at St. Mary’s Life Center, West Orange. Born in Queens, N.Y., he resided in Middletown for the past 40 years. He was an electrical engineer at Martin Marietta, Camden, for 10 years, retiring in 1995. Prior to that, he worked at EAI Inc., Long Branch, for 25 years. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Middletown. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Julia Crowe Clifford of Middletown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and John Sobol of Berkeley Heights, and Julie and Felipe Flores of Oxford; two sons and one daughter-in-law, William and Patti Clifford of Flanders, and Michael Clifford of New York City; a sister, Kathleen Brady of Copaique, New York; and eight grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. Burial was at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown. DOROTHY C. SCHNEIDER FISLER of the Belford section of Middletown died June 20, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a lifelong resident of Middletown and Belford. She was predeceased by her husband, John Fisler in 1992. She is survived by her son, John Fisler of Belford; two daughters, Joan Zemalkowski of Hazlet, and Dorothy Martin of Sarasota, Fla.; her brother, William Schneider of Matawan; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
TYYNE MIETTINEN BROYLES, 66, of Keyport died June 20 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Finland, she moved to the United States in 1957 and lived in the West Keansburg section of Hazlet prior to moving to Keyport 1 1/2 years ago. She was a retired pattern maker at Engineer Precision Casting Company, Middletown, where she worked for 30 years. She also worked at Grand Union, Middletown. She is survived by three sons, John E. Broyles of West Keansburg, Don T. Broyles of Pennsylvania, and Kenneth R. Broyles of Scotch Plains; her sister, Maija-Liisa Holopainen of Finland; two brothers, Pentii Miettinen and Tuamas Miettinen, both of Finland; and six grandchildren. Entombment was at Green Grove Cemetery, Keyport.
DONNA DAVIS "BEBE" MAZZUCCA, 67, of Middletown died June 21 at home. Born in Boone, Iowa, she lived in Galesburg, Ill., Little Silver and Tinton Falls prior to moving to Middletown recently. She was a homemaker. Prior to that, she was a secretary at Fort Monmouth for several years. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Her activities included volunteering at Riverview Medical Center, spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and photography. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Fred Mazzucca of Middletown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen A. and David Wheaton of Rumson, and Amy and Tom Sleavin of Oceanport; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Fred and Jo Ann Mazzucca Jr. of Shrewsbury, and Matthew Mazzucca of Atlantic Highlands; two sisters, Lois Bruget of Galesburg, Ill., and Charlotte Coffey of Henderson, Nev.; three granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
