Linda Marie Heckle Evans
Ms. Evans, 52, of Rumson died Dec. 20 at home. She was born in Fort Hamilton, N.Y. and lived in Lincroft and Eatontown before moving to the Rumson area 15 years ago. Ms. Evans graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School and attended Seton Hall College, South Orange. She was employed by the telecommunications industry and most recently as a software engineer at Lucent Technologies, Middletown, for 10 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Stella and John Heckle Jr.; a brother, William Heckle, in 1994; and her stepmother, Mary Perrotta Heckle. She is survived by her twin sister, Deborah H. (McKelvy) Heckle of Birmingham, Mich.; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Michelle Heckle of Lafayette, Calif.; and a friend, Gregg Evans of Atlantic Highlands. Services were held at the John E. Christeen Margaret Green Thompson
Mrs. Thompson, 93, of Freehold Township died Dec. 26 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Long Branch, she had lived in Freehold for the past 72 years and was a child care provider. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Freehold, and Order of the Eastern Star, Molly Pitcher Chapter No. 198, also in Freehold. She was predeceased in 1989 by her husband, W. Thurston Thompson. Surviving are two sisters, Edna Brister of West Long Branch and Florence Palmer of Port Richey, Fla. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, with the Rev. Myrna Bethke, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment

John J. Lembeck
Mr. Lembeck, 76, of Rumson died Dec. 21 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Bayonne, he moved to Rumson 45 years ago. Mr. Lembeck graduated from Bayonne High School in 1945. He was employed as a salesman for Bostitch, a division of Stanley Tools, Carlstadt, retiring in 1986 after more than 35 years of service. Mr. Lembeck was also the co-owner of the former 5 J’s Variety Store, Sea Bright in the 1970s. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was a member of Holy Cross Church, Rumson. Mr. Lembeck is survived by his wife of 55 years, Julianna Zelinsky Lembeck; two sons and daughters-in-law, John R. and Linda Lembeck of Rumson, and James B. and Jenine Lembeck of Wofford Heights, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Robert Kuesel of Old Greenwich, Conn.; and five grandchildren. Helen Dolores Vago
Mrs. Vago, 86, of Lakewood died Jan. 9 at home. Born in Union City, she resided in Morristown and Weehawken before moving to Lakewood 25 years ago. Mrs. Vago was an account manager at Beneficial Finance Corp., Jersey City and Morristown, before her retirement. She was a member of the Church of the Visitation, Brick. She was past vice president at Seton Hall University Mother Guild for the School of Nursing, and the Michaelian Guild at St. Michael’s High School, Union City. She enjoyed time with her family. Mrs. Vago was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Libero "Lee" Vago, in 1985; a brother, Michael Legge; and two sisters, Mary Phillips and Clara Legge. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Lee and Ron Martin of Marlboro, and Susan Jo and Robert Sorokolit of Rumson; a sister, Frances Legge of Lakewood; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephew. Christopher Michael English
Mr. English, 22, of Red Bank died Dec. 30 at home. He was a carpenter at Carpenters Local No. 2250, Red Bank. He enjoyed time with his pets and playing the guitar. He is survived by his father, Michael D. Anita Conley
Mrs. Conley, 74, of Middletown died Jan. 8 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she resided in Keansburg before moving to Middletown eight years ago. She was a payroll administrator at Prudential, Holmdel, before her retirement. Prior to that, Mrs. Conley held a similar position at Molly Pitcher Inn, Red Bank. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown, and former member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. She was predeceased by her sisters, Brenda MacDonald and Patricia Moll. Mrs. Conley is survived by her former husband, James H. Conley Sr. of Keansburg; three daughters, Sharon Conley of Middletown, Suzanne Cassaro of Keansburg, and Patricia Conley of the Belford section of Middletown; four sons and three daughters-in-law, James H. Gregory H. "Coach" Wasnak
Mr. Wasnak, 56, of South Amboy died Jan. 2 in Hackensack University Medical Center. He was a coach for the Morgan/Parlin Panthers for 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Judith Miller Wasnak; three sons, David and Scott, both of Sayreville, and Keith of Tinton Falls; his parents, Mary and Harry Wasnak of the Parlin section of Sayreville; three brothers, Bill, Fred and Paul; and a sister, Susan Yura. A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. on Jan. 10 at Christ Episcopal Church, South Amboy.
Anna Cavanagh
Mrs. Cavanagh, 95, of Red Bank died April 7 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Perryopolis, Pa., she resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., prior to moving to Red Bank in 1972. Mrs. Cavanagh was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, where she was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Senior Citizens Club. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Thomas J. Cavanagh; and 11 brothers and sisters. Mr. Cavanagh is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas S. and Margaret Cavanagh of the River Plaza section of Middletown, and Gerard F. and Joan Cavanagh of Old Bridge; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Audrey LeRoy
Mrs. LeRoy, 89, of Red Bank died April 8 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She resided in Flushing, N.Y., prior to moving to Red Bank in 1975. Mrs. LeRoy was a group assistant at Grey Advertising, New York City, for 25 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Red Bank-Tower Hill and a member of the League of Women Voters. She was an active fund-raiser for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Eatontown. Mrs. LeRoy was predeceased by her husband, Perry J. LeRoy Sr., in 1963; and a sister, Leah Mauer. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Perry J. and Elyse LeRoy of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; a daughter, Dianne Kavanagh of Fair Haven; and two grandchildren. Interment

Antonia Santoro
Mrs. Santoro, 91, of Freehold died March 28 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Mineola, N.Y., she resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Old Bridge prior to moving to Freehold in 1973. Mrs. Santoro was a claims adjuster at Home Insurance, New York City, retiring in 1977. She was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, and a member of The Villages Chapter of Deborah, Howell. She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio Santoro, in 1971. She is survived by a son, Robert F. Santoro of Edison; a daughter, Alice M. Sheehan of Oceanport; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be April 2 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia section of Howell. A Rite of Committal service will be held April 3 at 7:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial
at St. Rose of Lima Church at 8:30 a.m. Interment
will be at St. James Cemetery, Jamesburg.
Dennis T. Spencer
Mr. Spencer, 47, of Hamilton, died March 2 at Capitol Healthcare System, Trenton. He was a former resident of Red Bank and attended the Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. Mr. Spencer was a truck driver with Eastern Armored Car Service of Trenton and had previously worked for the United Parcel Service, Tinton Falls, for 15 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was an avid sportsman. Mr. Spencer was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Mary Corbett Spencer. He is survived by his former wife, Deborah Hawke Spencer, a son, Tyler H., and a daughter, Courtney W., all of Wayne, Pa.; three brothers, John P. and his wife, Kelly, of Toms River, Kevin M. of Red Bank, and Timothy E. and his wife, Colleen, of Little Silver; two sisters, Maureen A.
