NANCY HELEN JANKOWSKI, 48, of Everett City, Ga., formerly of Sayreville, died March 28 in Southern Georgia Medical Center, Everett City. Surviving are two sons, Robert Schein of Georgia and Joseph Schein of Florida; eight sisters, Joann Gonzalez of Perth Amboy, Carol Underwood of North Carolina, Donna Jankowski of the Belford section of Middletown, Susan Gioffre, Claire Berecsky and Melodee Jankowski, all of Sayreville, Rose Trilone of High Bridge and Debbie Hyle of the Forked River section of Lacey; two brothers, Frank Jankowski of Florida and Stephen Jankowski of Howell; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced by Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville.
DOROTHY M. MARTIN ROGERS, 73, of the Belford section of Middletown died March 31 at home. Born in New York City, she lived in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown prior to moving to Belford 49 years ago. She was a custodian for the Middletown Board of Education at Middletown High School North for 12 years, retiring in 1992. She was predeceased by a son, David J. Rogers, in 1979. She is survived by four sons, Wayne C. Rogers of Port Monmouth, Daniel K. Rogers of Belford, Richard L. Rogers Jr. of Jackson, and Roy E. Rogers of Neptune; three daughters, Linda K. Griffiths of Swansboro, N.C., and Donna M. Doherty and Elaine M. Rogers, both of Belford; a brother, John Martin of Florida; a sister, Catherine Braun of Middletown; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Interment
was at Bayview Cemetery, Leonardo section of Middletown.
SCOTT J. DEVLIN, 33, of Hazlet died April 6 at home after a three-year battle with a platelet disorder. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he lived in Hazlet the past 28 years. He was employed at Metro Marketing, Freehold. He was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. He was a coach for the Hazlet Youth Soccer League. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph M. Devlin in 2001, and his mother, Martha Devlin in 1978. He is survived by his daughter, Ashlye Devlin of Neptune; his sister, Lorraine Devlin of Keyport; his close friend John Costigan of Hazlet; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be April 10 from 7-9 p.m., and April 11 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. A funeral service will be offered April 12 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Interment
will be at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.
CHARLES J. REYNOLDS, 77, of Hazlet died March 31 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in New York, he lived in Hazlet for the past 45 years. He was personnel director of human resources at General Motors, New York, for 25 years, retiring in 1976. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2179, Middletown. He was predeceased by a son, Charles Reynolds Jr., in 1976. He is survived by his wife, Annamay Kelly-Reynolds of Hazlet; three daughters, Kelly Irizarry of Lakewood, Patricia Mandica of Farmingdale, and Bejay Pollard of Woodbridge; two sons, Terrance Reynolds of Perth Amboy, and Sean Reynolds of Old Bridge; his brother, Louis Reynolds of Mays Landing; three sisters, Winifred Weiner of Washington, D.C.; Catherine Reynolds of Spring Hill, Fla.; and Shiela McGowan of Jericho, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. Interment
was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
MARY POLLOCK, 62, of Matawan died March 24 at Barbara E. Cheng Memorial Hospice, Edison. Born in Coatbridge, Scotland, she resided in New York City and Queens, N.Y., prior to moving to Matawan 35 years ago. She was a senior customer service representative with Summit/Fleet Bank, Freehold. Prior to that, she was assistant bank manager at United Jersey Bank, Clark, for 16 years. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Cliffwood Fire Department, and of the Matawan Pop Warner. She was predeceased by her father, Daniel McGeough. She is survived by her mother, Charlotte McGeough of Coatbridge, Scotland; two sons, Robert Pollock of Belmar, and Christopher Pollock of Matawan; five brothers, Thomas, Daniel, James and John McGeough, all of Coatbridge, and John McGeough of Glasgow, Scotland; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be March 27 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. A funeral service will be March 28 (time to be announced). Interment

WILLIAM SHORTRIDGE, 81, of Aberdeen died March 15 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Sioux Falls, S.D., he lived in Burlington, and Pottstown, Pa., prior to moving to Aberdeen four years ago. He was a retired plant manager for Amstead Industries, Florence, for four years. Prior to that, he worked for Clow Industries, Pottstown, Pa., for 17 years. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He attended Christ Episcopal Church, Middletown, and formerly attended Hightown First Baptist Church, Matawan. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Shortridge of Aberdeen; his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and John Coffin of Aberdeen; and his grandson, William Coffin. A funeral service was held at Christ Episcopal Church, Middletown.
EVELYN DALLMER, 90, of Staten Island, N.Y., died March 16 at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel. Born in Boston, she resided there until moving to Staten Island. She was employed by Temple Israel, Staten Island, for 25 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of Oakwood Heights Community Church, Staten Island. She was predeceased by her husband, Rolf Dallmer in 1993. She is survived by two daughters, Susan Cartmell of Aberdeen, and Lois Emsweller of Fort Pierce, Fla.; her son, Douglas Dallmer of Naperville, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held at First Presbyterian Church, Matawan.
PATRICIA A. SAFKA, 60, of Manalapan died March 18 in Aberdeen. Born in Keyport, she had lived there and in Old Bridge before moving to Manalapan two years ago. She was the owner and operator of All About Bows, Aberdeen, with her niece and business partner, Elizabeth Purcell, for four years. She was also known as the "Ribbon Lady." She was predeceased by a brother, James Warnock. She is survived by her husband, Fred M.; two stepdaughters, Melanie Shickirk of Florida and Stephanie Safka of Lake George, N.Y.; a brother, Leon Warnock of Jackson; a sister, Audrey Vaughn of Keyport; three step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick 08902-4301.
THEODORE C. NEBUS SR., 83, of Keyport died March 19 at home. Born in South Amboy, he resided there until moving to Keyport 61 years ago. He was a research assistant for DuPont Inc. for 48 years, retiring in 1986. He was also an assistant for 35 years at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. He served with the U.S. Army and Air Corps during World War II. He was a communicant of, Extraordinary Minister, and usher at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. He was also a member of St. Joseph’s Holy Name Society and St. Vincent DePaul group, and a member of the Nocturnal Adoration, Red Bank. He is survived by his wife, Helen Kearney Nebus of Keyport; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Theodore C. Nebus Jr. of Neptune, and Ronald and Kathy Nebus of Marietta, Ga.; his sister, Mary Zrebic of South Amboy; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Interment
was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
