GAVIN ANTHONY REA, 12 days of age, Eatontown, died April 5 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Gavin was born in Long Branch. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Owen Anthony Rea, on March 24. He is survived by his parents, Anthony and Courtney Stahl Rea of Eatontown; his maternal grandparents, John and Leslie Stahl of Eatontown; his paternal grandparents, Shelia and John Brennan of Killarney, Ireland, and James Rea of Ireland; three aunts and one uncle, Ivey and John Bettigole of the Lincroft section of Middletown, Michele and Martin Spellman of Ireland, and Lauren Stahl of Eatontown; and five cousins.
THORKILD "TOM" OLSEN, 92, of Tinton Falls died March 26 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Kristiansand, Norway, he had resided in Tinton Falls since 1979. Mr. Olsen was a lumberjack at various logging companies in Canada and Maine from 1945-75. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He enjoyed baseball and boxing. He is survived by his grandnephew and his wife, Walter and Debra Olsen of Tinton Falls, with whom he lived; his nephew, Herbert Olsen of California; two grandnieces, Shari Williams of Jackson and Aljean Simpson of California; and several great-grandnephews and -grandnieces.
HELEN E. "BILLIE" LANGE WILLIS, 86, of Shrewsbury died March 30 at her daughter’s Red Bank home. Born in Shrewsbury, she was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Willis was a bookkeeper at Eisner’s, Red Bank, and a computer operator at SeaLand, Newark, until her retirement. She was a charter member of Shrewsbury Hose Company No. 1 Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Shrewsbury Senior Homesteaders. She was predeceased by her husband, Willard Willis; her brother, George Lange; and a sister, Margaret Norris. She is survived by her son, Michael Willis of Florida; her daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and Jacob Bloom of Red Bank; three sisters, Marie Sagurton, Evelyn Tryens and Ruth Cooney; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Interment

RICHARD E. PRYOR, 79, of the River Plaza section of Middletown, died April 4 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Bradley Beach, he had resided there and in the Lincroft section of Middletown before moving to River Plaza in 1960. Mr. Pryor served with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II, and was a Rainbow Division veteran. An English major graduate of Seton Hall University, South Orange, he maintained a lifelong interest in languages. Mr. Pryor is survived by his sister, Margaret M. Pryor of River Plaza; four nieces, Margaret M. Pryor of South Salem, N.Y., Eileen Cotugno of Lincroft, Suzanne Woods of Harleysville, Pa., and Judy Calderone of Sea Bright; and several cousins. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank.
VIRGINIA McKENNA, 84, of Tinton Falls died April 10 at Blythe House, Tinton Falls. Born in Union City, she resided in Hoboken, Matawan, and in Keyport for 20 years before moving to Tinton Falls. She was a retired dining room hostess at Ye Cottage Inn, Keyport, and Buttonwood Manor, Matawan. Prior to that, she worked for the Federal Reserve Bank and First National City Bank, New York City. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She was a devoted mother and wife, and committed to her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur McKenna, in 1968, and a brother, Francis McBride. She is survived by her son, Ronald McKenna of Farmington, Conn.; her daughter, Susan Mack of the Morganville section of Marlboro; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Burial was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport. ROSALIE BACHONSKI, 74, of Sayreville died May 30 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1991, she was employed as a film inspector with E.I. DuPont Photo Products Division, Parlin section of Sayreville, where she worked for 30 years. Her husband, Chester, died in 1985, and a son, Brian, died in 1990. Surviving are a son, Wayne Bachonski of Sayreville; two daughters, Christine Lenart-Mireau of Colts Neck and Diane Duncan of Newtown, Conn.; and nine grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Entombment was in Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
STEPHEN "JOE" FERENCE, 88, of Sayreville died May 31 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Mary Dombrowiecka Ference; a sister, Elsie Halka of Englishtown; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.
JAMES P. SCULLY SR., 64, of South Amboy died May 30 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1993, he was employed for 35 years as a chemical operator with E.I. DuPont and Co., Parlin section of Sayreville. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Soden Scully; three sons, Robert J. Scully and John J. Scully, both of South Amboy, and James P. Scully Jr. of Canaan, Maine; two brothers, Leo J. Scully of Massillon, Ohio, and J. Kevin Scully of Lancaster, Pa.; two sisters, Elizabeth M. Massing of the Morganville section of Marlboro and Mary Pat Rydzewski of the Parlin section of Sayreville; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment

ELEANOR F. BICKEL SMITH SULLIVAN, 83, of South Amboy died May 30 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was predeceased by her husbands, Edward Smith and Cornelius Sullivan, and by a daughter, Eleanor Mackiel Iavarone. Surviving are four sons, Edward Smith of South Amboy, Harold Smith of Old Bridge, Warren Smith of Redmond, Wash., and Cornelius Sullivan of Port Jervis, N.Y.; four brothers, Clifford, Edward, Walter and Raymond Bickel; three sisters, Muriel Maers, Lorraine Halloran and Marilyn Strong; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. was in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.
MARY JANE ROEMER, 90, of Red Bank died April 9 at Navesink House, Red Bank. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived there and in Middletown before moving to Red Bank seven years ago. Mrs. Roemer was a teacher at the Brooklyn Diocese for more than 20 years before her retirement. She was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. She also was involved in the communities of her residence, Shadow Lake Village, Middletown, and Navesink House. Mrs. Roemer was predeceased by her brother, Andrew Dalton. She is survived by her son, Frederick J. Roemer of Rumson; her sister, Rose Ann Nicoletti of Lynbrook, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Interment
was at Fair View Cemetery
