TERESA E. PARLOCK, 77, of Westlake, Ohio, formerly of Hazlet, died May 21 at the Lutheran Home, Westlake. born in Jersey City, she resided in Hazlet prior to moving to Westlake 2 1/2 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of both the Keyport Seniors and Hazlet Seniors. She was predeceased by her husband, George S. Parlock in 1991. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert and Allyson Parlock of Aberdeen, and William Parlock of Maryland; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Thomas Brunkow of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; a sister, Beatrice Vander Leeuw of Wayne; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Entombment was at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Keyport.
AGOSTINA OLIVARI, 82, of Keyport died May 23 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Bergamo, Italy, she resided in the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, and the Bronx, N.Y., prior to moving to Keyport four years ago. A homemaker, she was a member of the Aberdeen Seniors, and St. Clement’s Seniors, Matawan. She is survived by her husband, Domenico Olivari of Keyport; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Richard Grassis of Lavalette; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Katherine Olivari of Rockaway; a sister, Catherine Degano of Mamaroneck, N.Y.; a brother, Joseph Canova of Kissimmee, Fla.; and two grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Interment
was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
THOMAS E. EAVES, 56, of Middletown died May 30 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Newark, he lived in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown before moving to Middletown several years ago. Mr. Eaves was a toll collector for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for 20 years, retiring in 1998. Prior to that, he worked for the Middletown Board of Education for one year. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was predeceased by his parents, Earnest Eaves and Elizabeth McKinney. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carmela Lenzo Eaves of Middletown. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Catherine’s Church, Middletown. Entombment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
MATTHEW PAUL MANDICA, 17, of Eatontown died June 8 at New York Presbyterian Hospital after a battle with cancer. Born in Long Branch, he was a lifelong resident of Eatontown. Matthew was a junior at Monmouth Regional High School, Tinton Falls, where he was a member of the baseball team. He was a parishioner of St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church, West Long Branch. He enjoyed time with his family and friends, and was a great person, beloved son, brother and uncle. He is survived by his parents, John and Kathlynn "Kitty" Mandica; five brothers, John B., Michael, Anthony, Dominic and Joseph; seven sisters, Kathrine De Sarno, Jacqueline Lurch, Amanda Bontz, Nicole Mandica, Stephanie Mandica, Danielle Mandica and Victoria Mandica; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church, West Long Branch, followed by interment at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. ROSE RIZK SELL, 93, of Long Branch died June 9 at home. Born in Perth Amboy, she had lived in Monmouth Beach, Clark and Newark before moving to Long Branch 23 years ago. Mrs. Sell was a teacher at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, before her retirement. Prior to that, she owned an engineering service for trade unions and taught classes for labor unions for several years. She was a volunteer at the Long Branch Public Library, Elberon section of Long Branch; and the Monmouth County Library, and Planned Parenthood, both Shrewsbury. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Sell; a son, Stephen Sell; and three brothers. Mrs. Sell is survived by a daughter, Nancy Sell Byron of Monmouth Beach; a daughter-in-law, Mary Alice Sell of Mahtomedi, Minn; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. JERRY SEYMOUR, 68, of Monmouth Beach and Brooklyn, N.Y., died Dec. 26 at his home in Brooklyn. Born in New York City, he resided in Monmouth Beach for more than 25 years. Mr. Seymour was a journalist and editor for publications such as the New York Herald Tribune, New York Daily News, Newsweek and Book World before his retirement. He also worked for a time as a public affairs executive. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Seymour was predeceased by his wife of 36 years, Georgette Seymour, in 2000. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Liz Seymour and Bob Ourlian; a brother, Jack Seymour; a granddaughter; a niece and a nephew. A memorial service will be held June 14 at noon at Monmouth Beach Cultural Center, 128 Ocean Ave.
NANCY FORMON, 45, of Matawan died Nov. 11 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Long Branch, she lived in Matawan her entire life. She was co-owner of Spring Lake Freezer Inc., Spring Lake, for the past 10 years. Previously she was assistant manager of United Jersey Bank in the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen. She was predeceased by her father, William Formon, in 1991. She is survived by her mother, Ada Fierro Formon of Matawan; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Mike Tucker of Matawan; her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Joanne Formon of Matawan; one nephew and two nieces. Services were arranged by Waitt Funeral Home, Morganville, with a Mass at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Burial was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
JOHN E. DEPKO, 32, of Palmyra died Nov. 14 at home. Born in Red Bank, he lived in Union Beach the past five years. He was a salesman for Jacobs Music, Willowgrove, Pa., for three years. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kollmar Depko of Farmingville, N.Y.; a brother, Charles Cummings of Princeton; three sisters, Denise Hertweck of Indiana, Theresa Taylor of North Carolina, and Dawn Cummings of Lakewood; and his parents, Charles and Linda Cummings of Union Beach. Services were arranged by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
EDWARD VANDERBILT JR., 76, of Holmdel died Nov. 14 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Hazlet, he lived in Holmdel since 1944. He was an assembler for Ford Motor Co., Metuchen, for 32 years, retiring in 1982. He was a lifetime member of the North Centerville Volunteer Fire Company, Hazlet, founded by his father Edward Vanderbilt. An active member since 1946, he was a past chief and president of the company. He was a member of the Raritan Township Board of Fire Chiefs from 1954-55. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Davis Vanderbilt of Holmdel; a daughter and son-in-law, Lois J. and Dennis Walker of Long Branch; a daughter, Bridget Vanderbilt of Sayreville; a son, Edward W. Vanderbilt of Florida; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Laurel Funeral Home, West Keansburg. Interment

JAMES F. ADAMS JR., 51, of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet, died Nov. 16 at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he previously lived in Middletown before moving to West Keansburg 21/2 years ago. He was an owner and operator of Carvel Ice Cream, Middletown, for 11 years until 1995. Prior to that he worked for the New York Telephone Co., New York City, for 20 years. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in the New Monmouth section of Middletown. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Vince Lombardi, as well as the Middletown Elks Post No. 2179 of the Belford section of Middletown. He is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, James F. Adams of West Keansburg, Shawn G. and Beth Ann Adams of Georgia, and Steven P. Adams of West Keansburg; and his companion, Debra Figler-Breuer of Middletown. Services were arranged by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, with a Mass at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
