DONALD F. PIRRO, 68, of Middletown died Nov. 16 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived there until moving to Middletown 35 years ago. He was an assistant vice president for Amerada Hess Corp., Port Reading, Pa., for 27 years before retiring in 1991. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Red Bank Elks Post No. 233. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Maryanne Wilson Pirro of Middletown; and three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald M. and Barbara Pirro of Centreville, Va., Thomas F. and Michele Pirro of North Brunswick, and Paul E. and Tina Pirro of Metuchen. Services were arranged by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A Mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. Entombment was at Holmdel Mausoleum, Holmdel.
TIMOTHY P. SHINE, 89, of Eatontown died Nov. 16 at Gateway Care Center, Eatontown. Born in County Kerry, Ireland, he moved to the United States in 1930, and resided in Middletown the past 51 years. He was a groomsman and trainer for Amory Haskell, Middletown, for 50 years, and retired in 1990. He was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, New York City. He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Rochford, in 1997. He is survived by his wife, Mary Harte Shine of Eatontown; a daughter, Margaret Shine Vetrano of Eatontown; and a son, Patrick T. Shine of Middletown. Services were arranged by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A Mass was celebrated at St. James Roman Catholic Church with interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
JOSEPH G. BRESNEY, 81, of Middletown died Nov. 17 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Linden, he lived in the New Monmouth section of Middletown for the past 45 years. He was a factory worker for Simmons Mattress Co., Elizabeth, for 45 years before retiring in 1985. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth H. Devine Bresney, in 1992. He is survived by two sons, Joseph Bresney of Middletown, and John Bresney of Wharton; a daughter, Elizabeth Baumann of Middletown; two brothers, George and Edward Bresney, both of Florida; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. CONSTANCE "CONNIE" OCELLO, 67, of Aberdeen died Nov. 17 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Aberdeen for the past 38 years. She was a secretary to the president of Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, for 20 years. She was a communicant of St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Ocello of Aberdeen; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gerard Ocello of Aberdeen and John and Robyn Ocello of Fords; a brother, Frank Tringali of Aberdeen; and four grandchildren. Services were arranged by Waitt Funeral Home, Morganville, with a Mass celebrated at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church. Entombment was at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Keyport.
SALVATORE J. SEVERIN, 90, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown died Nov. 18 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Newark, he lived in Middletown the past 15 years. He was a warehouseman for J.R. Smith Manufacturing Co., Piscataway, for 12 years before retiring in 1975. He worked as a truck driver for Cooperative Cleaning Co., Irvington, for 30 years. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Margaret Severin of Brick; two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and George Mazur of Union Beach, and Dolores and Edward Anderson of Hazlet; seven grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. ANNA A. DUBROSKY MORAN, 86, of the Belford section of Middletown died Nov. 9 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Red Bank, she was a lifelong resident of Belford. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in the New Monmouth section of Middletown. She was predeceased by her sons, Lester and Robert C. Johnson. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Patricia Johnson of Florida, Jim and Cathy Moran of Atlantic Highlands, and John and Barbara Johnson of the Leonardo section of Middletown; her sister, Alice Danuck of Belford; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. ROBERT BORTON STRATTON, 82, of Middletown died Nov. 9 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Spring Lake, he lived in Moorestown and Ocean Grove before moving to Middletown 43 years ago. He was an accountant auditor for Nabisco Corp., Hanover, for 20 years and retired in 1982. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 351st Heavy Bomb Group in the European theater and African-Middle Eastern theater, and attained rank of captain. He was a member of Toastmasters, Red Bank. He was a treasurer for the Boy Scouts of America Troop 142, Middletown, for several years. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Rohland Stratton of Middletown; two sons, Richard Stratton of Barrington, R.I., and Laurence Stratton of San Francisco; a daughter, Leslie Zomro of Rumson; two brothers, Edward Stratton of South Carolina, and Donald Stratton of Tinton Falls and Florida; and six grandchildren. Services were arranged by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A Mass will be on Nov. 16 at Tower Hill Presbyterian Church, Red Bank. JAMES LONGSTREET SR., 87, of the Morgan section of Sayreville died Nov. 6 in Holmdel Convalescent Center. Surviving are his wife, Cleo P. Jones Longstreet; a son, James A. Longstreet of the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen; two daughters, Dorothy M. Sabb and Evelyn T. Brown, both of Sayreville; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services were held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. Interment
was in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.
ANNA TOMASULA VANISKI, 89, of Old Bridge died June 2 in Old Bridge Manor. Her husband, Joseph Vaniski, died in 1986, and a son-in-law, Joseph J. Bross Jr., died in May. Surviving is a daughter, JoAnna K. Bross of Old Bridge. Services were held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Interment

KATHLEEN R. REILLY ZELLERS, 69, of Old Bridge died June 7 at home. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Susan Marie Wilkie. Surviving are her husband, Glenn T. Zellers; two sons, Glenn R. Zellers of Wind Gap, Pa., and Joseph Zellers of Jackson; two daughters, Patricia Wilkie of Jackson and Cecilia Prenderville Sr. of Old Bridge; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
