GLORIA E. CAMPISE SALVATORE, 75, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died June 5 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are her husband, Gennaro "Jerry" Salvatore; five sons, Jerry of Sayreville, Jack, Robert and Joseph, all of Parlin, and Michael of Princeton; three sisters, Betty Rega of Old Bridge, Mildred Paparelli of Trenton and Theresa Pisano of Willingboro; and two grandsons. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Entombment was in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
ANTHONY RUGGIERO SR., 82, of Old Bridge died June 7 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. His wife, Rose Caiazzo Ruggiero, died in January. Surviving are a son, Anthony Ruggiero Jr. of Old Bridge; a daughter, Jo Marshall of Old Bridge; three grandsons; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass is planned for 11 a.m. on June 12 at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
ROBERT F. MILES, 55, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died June 4 at home. He was manager of police services for the NJ Turnpike Authority, Troop D Headquarters, Cranbury. Surviving are his wife, Elaine R. Pitula Miles; two sons, Robert Miles and Lance Miles, both of Parlin; two daughters, Dawn Miles Hughbanks of Plant City, Fla., and Honor Miles of Parlin; his mother, Dorothy Klunder Miles of Linden; and two sisters, Patricia Kudla of Old Bridge and Nancy Rice of Marietta, Ga. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment
was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
JOHN R. "MICK" "JACK" McCUTCHEON, 76, of Sayreville died June 4 in Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital, Browns Mills section of Pemberton. Prior to his retirement in 1984, he was employed as a tinsmith for 37 years at Hercules Inc., Parlin section of Sayreville. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Brush McCutcheon; a daughter, Mary Ann "Nan" Matyjewicz of Sayreville; two sons, John R. McCutcheon Jr. and Ronald D. McCutcheon, both of Sayreville; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment
was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.
ELIZABETH R. SALMON HOWLEY, 64, of South Amboy died June 6 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, John J. Howley, died in 1992. Surviving are a brother, Daniel R. Salmon of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; a nephew and godson, Daniel J. Salmon of Old Bridge; two nieces, Janet Salmon of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Dr. Colleen Salmon of Silver Springs, N.Y.; an uncle; two great-nieces; and a dear friend, Joseph Zulin of South Amboy. HARRY J. "CHRIS" CHRISTENSEN, 72, of the Madison Park section of Old Bridge died June 5 in Rahway Hospital. A son, Neil, died in 1970. Surviving are his wife, Sheila Kelly Christensen; three sons, Eric, Gregg and Keith Christensen; three daughters, Kelly Dillon, Katherine Handera and Mary-Beth Byrne; a brother, George Christensen; and 17 grandchildren. Prior to his retirement in 1996, he was the owner and operator of Gomolka’s Auto Body, Morgan. Surviving are his wife, Anne F. Benjamin Gomolka; four sons, Albert Gomolka Jr. of Hillsboro, Matthew Gomolka of the Parlin section of Sayreville, David Gomolka of Manalapan and Barry Gomolka of Staten Island, N.Y.; two daughters, Marianne Rand of South Amboy and Susan Gomolka of East Brunswick; three sisters, Sister Mary Gomolka of Mount St. Mary Academy, Watchung, and Frances Dzielak and Edna Weinman, both of South Amboy; and nine grandchildren. GUSTAVE NOBLE, 89, of Old Bridge died May 31 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. The former owner of the Old Bridge Luncheonette, he also worked for the Spotswood Public Library and was employed as a rural letter carrier for the Old Bridge post office. His wife, Mildred Noble, died in 1988. Surviving are his fiancée, Virginia; a daughter, Isabel Leach of Old Bridge; two sons, Gustave Noble of Phoenix, Ariz., and Robert Noble of Monroe; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Services were held at Garden State Baptist Church, Old Bridge. Interment
