EUNICE EMILY SMITH McRITCHIE, 89, of East Brunswick died May 16 in McCarrick Care Center, Somerset section of Franklin. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank. Surviving are three sons, David of Bound Brook, Kenneth of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, and James of Elk Grove, Calif.; and two granddaughters. A memorial service is planned for 4:30 p.m. on May 31 at East Brunswick Congregational Church. GRACE CRAFT McCOURT, 76, of Old Bridge died May 22 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Boston, she had resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Cheesequake Village 13 years ago. Mrs. McCourt was a clerk at Chase Bank, New York City, retiring in 1989. She is survived by her husband, Joseph J. McCourt; a daughter, Bernice L. Cresser of Brooklyn; a son, John J. Ferguson of Brooklyn; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
JOHN J. BUCKLEY, 67, of the Morgan section of Sayreville died May 16 at home. Surviving are his wife, Ellen Garrabrant Buckley; two sons, John J. III and Dennis of Morgan; a daughter, Vivian Borruso of Sayreville; and three grandchildren, Melissa Buckley and Christine and Kimberly Borruso. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment

DOROTHY MASINEK PAONE, 83, of Lakehurst, formerly of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, died May 8 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Joseph, died in 2002. Surviving are a son, Joseph of Colorado; a daughter, Jeanette of the Parlin section of Sayreville; two sisters; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Interment
was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
VICTOR J. POMYKALA, 87, of Sayreville died May 17 at home. His wife, Marie O’Hara Pomykala, died in 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Valerie Jastrzebski, with whom he lived; a son. Robert Pomykala of Millsboro, Del.; and eight grandchildren. A memorial Mass is planned for 11 a.m. on May 22 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville.
STELLA MAZOL RUTAN, 94, of Old Bridge died May 12 at home. Her husband, Louis Rutan, died in 1961, and a daughter, Grace, died in 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Lois Rowe of Old Bridge; a son, Edward Rutan of California; six grandchildren; eight grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment
was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
JOHN MEDEL SR., 78, of Old Bridge died May 12 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Dolores Medel; three sons, David Medel of Howell, John Medel of Old Bridge and Stephen Medel of South Yarmouth, Mass.; a brother, George Medel of the Toms River section of Dover; three sisters, Eleanor Medel of South Amboy, Lydia Riepel of Brick and May Lynch of Beachwood; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, East Brunswick. Interment

KATHERINE PHOLE DePRE, 85, of the Madison Park section of Old Bridge died May 15 at home. Prior to her retirement in 1982, she was employed as an office manager at Channel Lumber, Old Bridge, where she worked for 15 years. Her husband, Joseph P. DePre, died in 2002. Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen Petrick of South Amboy and Patricia Lovrich of Monroe; a son, Keith DePre of Wind Gap, Pa.; a sister, Marion Luma of Sayreville; a brother, Henry Phole of Wildwood; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin. Entombment was in Forest Green Park Mausoleum, Old Bridge.
MARGARET "PEGGY" FUDGE, 73, of Sayreville died May 12 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Surviving are her husband, Patrick A. Fudge; two daughters, Nancy Roberts of Hazleton, Pa., and Patti Fudge of Sayreville; her father, Anthony Simasek of McAdoo, Pa.; a brother, Ronald Simasek, and two sisters, Dorothy Rubasky and Jean Kohler, all of McAdoo; a granddaughter, Jennifer Paluzzi of Jamesburg; and many nieces and nephews. JOSEPH J. BROSS JR., 48, of Old Bridge died May 13 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was employed as a meat cutter at Stop and Shop, Keyport. Surviving are his wife, JoAnna Vaniski Bross; two sisters, Patricia Nieratko of Sayreville and Ellen Novak-Viviano of Spotswood; a brother, John Bross of West Milford; a niece, Theresa Novak of Spotswood; and a great-niece.
