JOSEPHINE CHOLEWA CALANDRILLA, 85, of Jackson, formerly of Sayreville, died Jan. 2 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Calandrilla. Surviving are a son, Stanley Pietrowicz, with whom she lived; a granddaughter, Suzanne Castineira; and two sisters, Mary Granit and Frances Putnocky, both of North Brunswick. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Entombment was in Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
HARRY E. BROWN, 78, of Old Bridge died Dec. 30 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Muriel Holman Brown; five sons, Glen of Lakewood, Steven of Manalapan, Donald of Cary, N.C., Thomas of Bayville and William of Old Bridge; a daughter, Judith Frank of Jackson; a brother, Art; two sisters, Margie and Ruth; and nine grandchildren. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Interment
was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
ELIZABETH MARY ATWATER NUMAIR, 81, of Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly of Old Bridge, died Dec. 31 in Boulevard Manor Care Center, Boynton Beach. She was predeceased by a daughter, Maureen Davis, and by a grandson, Michael Davis. Surviving are her husband, John G. Numair; two sons, Buddy Numair of Barnegat and Jon Numair of Voorhees; a sister, Mary Rose Migneco of White Haven, Pa.; a brother, Michael Atwater of New Port Richey, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Cremation was private.
MARGARET LUNDBERG PEDERSEN, 97, of Old Bridge died Dec. 14 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. She was predeceased by her husband, Otto, and by a son, George. Surviving are a son, Herbert O. of Old Bridge; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, Aberdeen. Cremation was private. MARY NIMMO SANSONE, 73, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Old Bridge, died Dec. 29 in the Hospice Residence, Stuart, Fla. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Sansone; two sons, James Sansone of Jackson and Joseph Sansone of Matawan; two daughters, Phyllis Stappert of the Waretown section of Ocean Township and Janet Kane of Jackson; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Martin/St. Lucie County, 1201 S.E. JOHN E. THOMAS, 74, of Sayreville died Jan. 1 at home. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine "Kay" Thomas, and by a grandson, David Kukla. Surviving are two daughters, Donna Kukla of Sayreville and Cathy Argese of Old Bridge; a son, Gary Thomas of Sumter, S.C.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. GERTRUDE KING VALENTINO, 83, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Jan. 2 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. She was predeceased by a grandson, Gary Just. Surviving are two daughters, Gertrude Just of Nanuet, N.Y., and Carmela Carley of Sandford, N.C.; two sons, Arnold Valentino of Parlin and Richard Valentino of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. ANTHONY M. GRECO SR., 61, of East Brunswick, formerly of Old Bridge, died Jan. 1 at home. He was a life member of the Madison Park Fire Department, Old Bridge, where he served as first assistant chief, second assistant chief, captain and treasurer. Surviving are his wife, Theresa V. Adamkiewicz Greco; two daughters, Ann-Marie Kampo of Mansfield Township and Michele Alvarez; two sons, Anthony M. Greco Jr. of Spotswood and Raymond J. Greco of Old Bridge; two sisters, Geraldine Pereira and Mary Ann McCusker, both of Houston; a brother, John Greco, also of Houston; six grandchildren; and his former wife, Carol Greco of Old Bridge. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Cremation was private. LYNN SCATURRO, 46, of Marlboro, formerly of Sayreville, died Dec. 29 at home. Surviving are her husband, Robert Pommerencke; her parents, Charles and Arlene Scaturro of Spotswood; five sisters, Carol Scaturro of the Somerset section of Franklin, Jan Marie Hillyer and Reyne Scaturro, both of Spotswood, and Melany Scaturro and Mary Beth Scaturro, both of North Brunswick; her grandmother, Marie Eagles of Rochester, N.Y.; and many nephews and nieces. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment was in Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
