KATHRYN SHUBERDA WEIS, 94, of East Brunswick died Dec. 31 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement in 1969, she was employed as the cafeteria manager at Memorial School, East Brunswick, where she worked for 20 years. Her husband, Charles N. Weis, died in 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce M. Weis of Crestone, Colo.; three sons, Charles D. Weis of East Brunswick, Gerald J. Weis of McKinney, Texas, and retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. John R. Weis of Burke, Va.; a sister, Blanche Grobleski of East Brunswick; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment

J. TRAVIS PECK, 20, of South River died Jan. 4 in South River. He was a member of the South River High School class of 2000. He played on the high school golf team, where he lettered for four years and was most valuable player for two years. Surviving are his parents, J. Kevin and Elke S. Peck; a brother, Justin of South River; a sister, Kirsten of Monroe; his paternal grandparents, John F. Peck Jr. and Barbara M. Peck of Lake Ariel, Pa.; his maternal grandmother, Hilde Strobel of Manahawkin; and several aunts, uncles and nephews. Services are planned for 10 a.m. on Jan. 9 at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Private cremation will follow. WILLIAM ROWAN PARKE, 72, of East Brunswick died Jan. 3 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Constance Vitale Parke; two sons, John of East Brunswick and William of Monroe; a daughter, Patrice Herring of Monroe; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. MICHAEL B. ODER, 77, of South River died Dec. 29 at home. Surviving are his sister, Theresa Oder of South River, and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, South River. Interment

SHEILA R. GOLDSTEIN ROSEN, 59, of East Brunswick died Jan. 4 in Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York City. She was employed as an office manager and bookkeeper for the past nine years at Consolidated Distribution Services, Dayton section of South Brunswick. Prior to that, she was a bookkeeper for 17 years at All Star Rental, East Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Warren Rosen; two daughters, Ronda Strelecki of Milltown and Beth Watson of Wall Township; a sister, Harriet Chodash of Jackson; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment

MABEL SMITH, 102, of Sayreville died Dec. 21 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. She was a lifelong resident of Sayreville. During the early 1920s, she was a piano accompanist for the silent movies at the Liberty Theater on Main Street. Prior to that, she worked at Hercules during World War I, earning a certificate from the U.S. government for her services. She was predeceased by two sisters, Freda Gilpin and Lucy Paterson, and two brothers, Walter and Dick Smith. She is survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews and a very close friend, Catherine Beecham. Burial was at the Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. THOMAS M. BRADLEY, 56, of Marshalls Creek, Pa., died Dec. 22 at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, Pa. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had resided in the Parlin section of Sayreville for 30 years, moving to Marshalls Creek, Pa., one year ago. Before his retirement seven years ago, Mr. Bradley was employed for 26 years as a letter carrier in Manhattan, N.Y. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was predeceased by his wife, Francine Marie Toomey Bradley, in 2001. Mr. Bradley is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Laurence and Cindy Bradley of Marshalls Creek, Pa.; his daughter, Christine Bradley of the Parlin section of Sayreville; his brother, Robert Moxhiem of Manhattan; and two grandchildren.
THOMAS ANDERSON, 76, of Old Bridge died Dec. 24 at New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, Edison. Born in New York City, he had lived in Bogota before moving to Old Bridge in 1955. Mr. Anderson worked as a printer for the Home News Tribune for 28 years before retiring in 1985. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific theater during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Diane Sutton-Anderson; his daughter, Lynne Anderson of Old Bridge; two sons, Theodore Anderson of Hamilton and Richard Anderson of Old Bridge; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, Aberdeen, at 11 a.m. on Jan. 11.
JODI SUE MILLER, 36, of Freehold died Dec. 25 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived most of her life in Freehold. Mrs. Miller was a 1984 graduate of Freehold Township High School. She is survived by her husband, Christopher; a son, Justin; her parents, Steven and Ellen Dutka of Manalapan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Andrew and Kathi Dutka of Bayville, and Matthew and Allison Dutka of Howell; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Estelle Miller of Monroe; her grandparents, Aaron and Dorothy Schattner of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan, followed by interment at Agudath Achim Cemetery, Freehold.
DOROTHY M. METROKA LYKIN, 70, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Dec. 25 at home. Born in Swoyersville, Pa., she had resided in Linden before moving to Parlin 34 years ago. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Joseph Lykin; two sons, Gary and Richard Lykin, both of Parlin; two brothers, Daniel Metroka of Rahway and Anthony Metroka Jr. of Hanover, Pa.; and her sister, Helen Metroka of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Funeral services were held at Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, East Brunswick, followed by interment in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Old Bridge.
