ZIGMONT "ZIGGY" F. TARGONSKI SR., 85, of Sayreville died Nov. 26 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. He was predeceased by a son, John F. Surviving are his wife, Edna Waszczak Targonski; two sons, Edward of Cinnaminson and Zigmont of Bordentown; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Interment
was in the church cemetery.
VINCENT J. ROSSI JR., 56, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Nov. 29 at home. Surviving are his wife, Susan Marshall Rossi; two sons, Vincent M. Rossi of Paterson and Robert Moccio of Parlin; a daughter, Shauna Moccio of Parlin; his parents, Catherine and Vincent Rossi Sr. of the Toms River section of Dover; and a sister, Carol Maciliawn of Kearny. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Interment
was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Old Bridge.
MICHAEL J. NADALIN, 56, of South Amboy died Nov. 27 at home. His wife, Victoria Turnell Nadalin, died in 2001. Surviving are a daughter, Jessica Anne Nadalin of South Amboy; his mother, Helen Kudlak Nadalin of Queens, N.Y.; and a brother, John Nadalin of Woodstock, N.Y. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment
was in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund for the education of Jessica Anne Nadalin.
CHARLES KOLB SR., 92, of Sayreville died Nov. 29 in Old Bridge Manor. Surviving are his wife, Anna Hoffman Kolb; two sons, Charles Jr. of Old Bridge and John of Holland, Pa.; a daughter, Anna Kolb Dooling of Plantation, Fla.; a brother, Joseph of South Amboy; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment
was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.
ERNEST A. ANESI, 84, of Sayreville died Nov. 28 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, June Dugan Anesi; a son, Robert of Westchester County, N.Y.; a daughter, Judith of Old Bridge; a sister, Elizabeth Carlin of Boston; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Sayreville. Cremation was private.
LOUIS M. SCHWARTZ, 77, of Old Bridge died Nov. 29 in Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. His wife, Ann C. Silverstein Schwartz, died in 1999. Surviving are a son, Joseph of Spotswood; a brother, Robert of Long Beach, N.Y.; and a grandson. Services were under the direction of Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville.
STANLEY B. POPOWSKI, 78, of the Melrose section of Sayreville died Dec. 2 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. His wife, Mary Sztukowski Popowski, died in 1971. Surviving are a daughter, Judith Popowski of Melrose; a brother, Frank Popowski of Piscataway; a sister, Jennie Krenzel of Helmetta; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass is planned for 11 a.m. on Dec. 5 at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment
will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.
STEFANIA MAMCZUR ANTONISZYN, 74, of South River died Nov. 30 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Antoniszyn; two daughters, Halina Klaczany of Old Bridge and Teresa Ciano of Manalapan; two sons, Adam Antoniszyn and Michael Antoniszyn, both of Old Bridge; two sisters, Zenobia Schaeffler and Emilia Szajdecki, both of Edison; and six grandchildren. A service was held at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment
was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
JUNE S. THOMAS NEARY, 77, of Susquehanna, Pa., formerly of Old Bridge, East Brunswick and Great Bend, Pa., died Nov. 27 in Barnes-Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility, Susquehanna. Her husband, William F. Neary, died in 1994, and a son, Robert, died in 1977. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mayor William and Barbara Neary of East Brunswick and Jerry Neary of Susquehanna; a daughter-in-law, Karen Neary of Steep Falls, Maine; two brothers, Paul Thomas of Clarks Summit, Pa., and Don Thomas of Dalton, Pa.; a sister, Dale Lewis of Scranton, Pa.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at United Methodist Community Church, Great Bend. Interment
was in Dunmore Cemetery, Dunmore, Pa. Memorial contributions may be made to the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
GUS DeGUMBA, 88, of South River, formerly of Sayreville, died Nov. 27 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Stella Sudnikovich DeGumba; a son, Michael of Raleigh, N.C.; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River.
