Marie Adele Malone MacGregor
Mrs. MacGregor, 69, of Rumson, died May 24 at home. She resided in Short Hills and Monmouth Beach before moving to Rumson 25 years ago. She was the owner and primary artist at Portraits in Pastel. She was also a personal counselor at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, and placement consultant at Prudential of Eatontown, PIC Employment Services, and Maple Career Services. Mrs. MacGregor was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. She was a volunteer and member of the Pacific Opera Company of Monmouth County. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. MacGregor; and a brother, Christopher Malone. Mrs. MacGregor is survived by her companion, Robert Prisco; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Lori of Colts Neck, Stuart and Trish of Oceanport, Mark of Red Bank and Ian of New York City; four daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Tom Centanni of Glen Ridge, Pamela and Patrick Sullivan of Chatham, Kristy and Larry Pucillo of Mendham, and Didi and Chris Brignola of Fair Haven; and 18 grandchildren. Edward C. Worden III
Mr. Worden, 64, of Ocean Township, died June 23 at home. Born in Wilmington, Del., he resided in Claymont, Del., and Fair Haven before moving to Ocean Township. Mr. Worden was a writer at American Metal Market, New York City, for 15 years, retiring in 2002. Prior to that, he was a reporter for the Elizabeth Daily Journal. He served with the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a former member of Red Bank Elks Lodge 233 and a former member of Toastmasters International. He was named the 1985 Big Brother of the Year by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth County. Mr. Worden is survived by his wife of 34 years, Eleanor Yates Worden; two stepdaughters, Leslie Mader of Middletown and Connie Bowden of Blacksburg, Va.; two sisters, Velita Worden of Nevada City, Calif., and Vickie Worden of Bel Air, Md.; and six step-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held June 30 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at Tower Hill in Red Bank. The Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, is in charge of arrangements. Sivert M. Drangeid
Mr. Drangeid, 74, of Little Silver, died June 12 at home. Born in Flekkefjord, Norway, he immigrated to the United States in 1957 with his wife, and relocated to Little Silver. He was director of corporate quality at Philips Lighting Company North America, retiring in 1997. He was a licensed professional engineer with several patents, and appointed to the Baldrige Board as a Malcolm Baldrige Examiner by the U.S. Department of Commerce. He served with the Norwegian Air Force. He was an elder at the First Presbyterian Church at Red Bank-Tower Hill. He was a member of the Sons of Norway, Marlboro. He was an artist in both Europe and the United States. He also enjoyed ice skating and skiing. He is survived by his wife, Astrid Flikeid Drangeid; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elin D. and Steve McGuire of Bucks County, Pa., and Tina D. and Randy Cerce of Mullica Hill; and four grandchildren. A memorial service was held at First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Eleanor Mary O'Neill Donnelly
Mrs. Donnelly, of Shrewsbury, died June 17 at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in New York City, she relocated to Shrewsbury in 1954. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed time with her family. She was predeceased by two sisters, Joyce Briody and Helen Worden. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Donnelly; a daughter and son-in-law, Rita Donnelly Seaman and Michael of Rumson; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bernie and Cathy Donnelly of Richmond, Va., Dennis and Cathy Donnelly of Little Silver, and Kenneth and Cathy Donnelly of Midlothian, Va.; two sisters, Marjorie O'Neill and Kathleen LaGamma; three brothers, William, Richard and Donald O'Neill; and eight grandchildren. Susan E. Birzin
Mrs. Birzin, 64, of Ocean Township, died June 16 at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Atlantic City, she resided in Absecon prior to moving to Ocean Township in 1967. She was an elementary school teacher at Hillel School, Ocean Township, for 23 years, retiring in 2001. Presently, she was a naturalist for the Monmouth County Park System, Lincroft section of Middletown. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Asbury Park. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Alex Birzin; two sons and daughter-in-law, Alex F. and Elizabeth Birzin of Tinton Falls, and Thomas and Rachel Birzin of Ocean Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Gustave Trozzi of Brick; her mother, Vivian DiPalma; and six grandchildren. Lisa Marie Navitsky
Mrs. Navitsky, 44, of Brick, died June 13 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she had previously resided in Hazlet. A graduate of Montclair State College (now University), Upper Montclair, she had been an office manager for Clayton Adaptive Rehab Equipment, a medical-supply company in Brick that has since relocated to Toms River. She was also an animal lover. Mrs. Navitsky is survived by her mother, Margaret Scalere Danza of Matawan; her father and stepmother, Joseph and Evelyn Navitsky of Toms River; a daughter, Lori Muzikar of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Jodi Navitsky of Shrewsbury; and three nephews, Jack, Stephen and Brian. A funeral Mass was held at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. Cremation was private. Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.
John F. Conroy Sr.
Mr. Conroy, 76, of Keyport, died June 11 at home. Born in Union Beach, he resided there before moving to Keyport in 1968. Mr. Conroy was a tool and die maker for Silverline Windows, North Brunswick. He previously was employed at LaVoie Laboratories in Morganville, Ronnie Packaging in Dunellen, the Hyatt-Clark in Union, and served as chief of police in Union Beach. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Conroy is survived by his wife of 49 years, Frances Auriemma Conroy; four sons and two daughters-in-law, John Conroy of Aberdeen, James and Terri Conroy of Howell, Edward and Patti Conroy of Matawan, and William Conroy of Keansburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Rich Batdorf of Tinton Falls, and Sharon and Dr. Joseph Cicenia of Hoboken; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Robert Fitzpatrick of Matawan; a brother, Edward Conroy of Petaluma, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Nancy Norling Coe
Mrs. Coe, 75, of Rumson, died June 5 at home. Born in Cleveland, she was raised in Southport, Conn. She is survived by a brother, David Norling; her children, Jeff Coe, Chelle Coe Gourlay, Matthew Coe and Abby Coe Flanagan; and 11 grandchildren. Raymond Vaccarelli
Mr. Vaccarelli, 83, of Red Bank, died June 8 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a lifelong resident of Red Bank. He was a partner at Vaccarelli Italian Bakery, Red Bank, for 60 years, retiring in 1997. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Vaccarelli served with Army Artillery at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He was predeceased by a sister, Quintina Vaccarelli; and two brothers, Patrick and Ralph Vaccarelli. Mr. Vaccarelli is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Susan Vaccarelli of Red Bank, and James and Margaret Vaccarelli of Shrewsbury; a sister-in-law, Nancy Vaccarelli Bruscella of Toms River; five nieces; and four nephews.
