BIASE "BENNY" MARAZITA, 85, of Howell died April 15 at home. He was born in New York City, and lived in Neptune before moving to Howell in 1952. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was an auto mechanic at Matthews Chevrolet, Farmingdale, for 38 years, retiring in 1980. Following retirement, he worked as a part-time delivery person for Lakewood Auto Parts, Neptune and Lakewood, from 1981 to 1993. He was a member of the Squankum United Methodist Church, Howell. He was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, James and Luigi (Louie) Marazita; and three sisters, Rose Nuzzi, Margaret (Peggy) Graziano and Mary Cruzan. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alma Bills Marazita of Howell; a son, Timothy Marazita of Howell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gwendolyn and Charles Linn of New York, and Susan and Daniel Dennis of Ohio; two sisters, Bridget Erving and Lucia Arcangelo, both of Brick; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Johnson of Ortley Beach, Anna Marazita of Freehold, and Shirley Marazita of North Carolina; three granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. MARIE SALOME FRANCK, 69, of Marlboro died April 16 at home. She was a communicant and active parishioner of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church in Manalapan. She is survived by her ex-husband, William; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Cathy of Springboro, Ohio; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Sister Suzanne Franck of West Babylon, N.Y., Carolyn Sullivan of Wantagh, N.Y., Patricia and Jim Florkowski of Jackson, and Maria and John Nash of West Babylon; and nine grandchildren. A mass was offered at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, West Babylon, followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery

ADAM A. LUKOIC JR., 83, of Henderson, Nev., died April 16 at St. Rose Hospital, Las Vegas. He was a longtime resident of Colts Neck before moving to Nevada. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Colts Neck Fire Company No. 1, and a special officer with the Colts Neck Police Department. Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Webb-Lukoic; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry of Meridian, Idaho, and Stan and Elizabeth; a sister, Mae Kowalski, Bayside, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. Interment
was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
ALMA S. ZANCHUK, 76, of the Perrineville section of Millstone died April 8 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Perrineville and lived there all her life. She was a school bus driver for the Millstone Board of Education. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone, Perrineville. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel, in 1987; and a grandson, Francis Daniel Farr, in 1996. She is survived by a son, Daniel A. Zanchuk of New Egypt; three daughters, Catherine Infante of Cream Ridge, Barbara J. Zanchuk of Perrineville, and Marie Farr of Jackson; two sisters, Martha DiGeorgio of Roosevelt and Dorothy Oswald of Allentown; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were held at United Presbyterian Church of Millstone, Perrineville, followed by interment in Adelphia Cemetery, Adelphia.
LINDA G. CAPALBO, 55, of Millstone died April 4 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she lived in Staten Island before moving to Millstone 16 years ago. She worked as a real estate agent for Center State Builders, Jackson, for five years before retiring in 2002. She is predeceased by her parents, Alcede and Karen Spies Kempt, and her brother, Lucien Kempt. Surviving are her husband, Anthony Capalbo; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Todd. S. Simmonds of Millstone, and Douglas J. and Christina Simmonds of Detroit; two sisters, Juliette Stark and Donna Werthmuller, both of Dunnellon, Fla.; and three grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Perrineville, followed by interment in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
MARTHA MASSNER, 94, of the Perrineville section of Millstone died April 5 at home. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she lived in Claymont, Del., before moving to Perrineville 16 years ago. She was a secretary for the State College of New York, Oyster Bay, N.Y. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Glen Head, N.Y.; the Order of the Easter Star Chapter, Glen Cove, N.Y.; and the Millstone Township Senior Citizens Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Massner; a daughter, Roberta Massner; a brother, Alfred; and a sister, Emma. Surviving are a brother, Helmuth A.R. ALEXANDER BRUNO, 89, of Old Bridge, formerly of Sayreville, died April 8 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Jean Bruno; two sons, Richard A. Bruno of Millstone and Robert C. Bruno of Old Bridge; a sister, Carmella Kongslie of Staten Island, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Most Holy Redeemer Church, Old Bridge. DORIS PRAHL PRICE, 82, of Freehold Township died April 16 at Applewood Estates, Freehold Township. Born in Newark, she lived in Edison for more than 40 years, moving to Freehold Township in 1994. She worked as a dietary aide for John F. Kennedy Medical Center, Edison, for seven years, retiring in 1985. She was a former communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral, Metuchen. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald, in 1976. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Linda Price of Kingston, N.Y.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tamson and John Chanas of Stillwater, and Karen and Michael Bart of Freehold Township; two sisters, Grace Noll of Iselin, and Jean McGotty of Edison; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. ROSARIA MACCHIARELLA, 81, of Marlboro died April 17 at her daughter’s home in Millstone. Born in Palermo, Sicily, she lived in Queens, N.Y., retired to Mastic Beach, N.Y., and moved to Marlboro two years ago. She was a dressmaker in Queens for many years. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, and her son, Larry. Surviving are two sons, Issy of Freehold and John of Rockaway Beach, N.Y.; four daughters, Beatrice Gambino of Mastic Beach, N.Y., Anna Profaca of Millstone, with whom she lived, and Rosa Reitz and Sylvia Wellons, both of Atlanta, Ga; 21 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Gabriel’s Church, followed by entombment at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, Marlboro.
JOSEPH H. STEEN, 86, of Howell died April 17 at Bartley Health Care Nursing and Rehabilitation, Jackson. He was born in Atlantic Township and lived in Neptune before moving to Howell in 1957. He was a truck driver for Jersey Coast Freight Lines, Neptune, retiring in 1979. He was a member of Teamsters Local 701, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Ethel Steen of Howell; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph C. and Maryann Steen of Buena Vista; a daughter, Barbara Van Pelt of Howell; a brother, William Steen of Laurel, Del.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
