EDYTHE V. LEE, 92, of Marlboro died Jan. 5 at John L. Montgomery Care Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Attleboro, Mass., and had lived in Marlboro since 1972. She was predeceased by her husband, Stewart J. Lee. Surviving are a daughter, Victoria Nalbone, Lansford, Pa.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
STANLEY WALTER KRZYWICKI, 74, of East Brunswick died Jan. 16 in Applegarth Care Center, Monroe. His wife, Florence Garboski Krzywicki, died in 1993. Surviving are three sons, Brian Krzywicki of the Princeton Junction section of West Windsor, Glenn Krzywicki of Freehold and Gary Krzywicki of South Brunswick; a daughter, Lynn Krzywicki of East Brunswick; a sister, Sonia Solook of Freehold; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment
was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
H. DONALD FARRELL, 51, of Milltown died Jan. 17 in JFK Medical Center, Edison. He was a pipe fitter for 13 years at Quick Response Fire Protection, Manalapan. Surviving are his wife, Penny Barker Farrell; a stepson, Ricky of Virginia; a sister, Nancy Skidmore of East Brunswick; and a brother, Richard Farrell of Point Pleasant. Arrangements were under the direction of Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown.
WILLIAM IRA LITSKY, 62, of Monroe, formerly of Manalapan, died Jan. 14. Surviving are his wife, Linda Himmel Litsky; two sons, Darrin of Beverly Hills, Calif., and Wayne of New York City; and a daughter, Deborah Keenan of East Windsor. Services were held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan. Interment
was in Beth Israel Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association or Temple Shaari Emeth, Manalapan.
ORTRUDE H. "TRUDY" HOLLERING, 70, of the Lincroft section of Middletown, died Jan. 18 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Freehold, Holmdel and Union before moving to Lincroft. She was a retired executive administrative assistant at P.I.C., Asbury Park, and Red Bank. Prior to that, she was a legal secretary at Zager and Fuchs, Red Bank. She was an active member of the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Tinton Falls, where she was involved with its choir, Craft Christians, and vacation Bible school. Her activities included thoroughbred horses, which she and her husband raised and raced. She was predeceased by her husband, L. Karl Hollering, in 1994. She is survived by her son, Kurt F. Hollering of West Long Branch; her daughter, Karen A. Hollering of Freehold; and one grandson. Memorial donations may be made to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 818 Tinton Ave., Tinton Falls, 07724.
BURTON M. BLUMERT, 56, of Mansfield Township died Jan. 3 at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he lived in Marlboro for seven years and Freehold for eight years before moving to Mansfield a year ago. He was the chief court officer for New York state, serving all boroughs, until his retirement in 1998. He was a past officer of the Court Officer’s Union; and a volunteer for court mediation for both Monmouth and Burlington counties. He served in the Coast Guard Reserve for seven years. He is survived by his wife, Constance; two daughters, Florence of East Windsor, and Danielle, at home. Cantor Wayne Siet presided over the funeral service, followed by interment at Floral Park Cemetery, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. ANN MARIE DeMAIO, 72, of Old Bridge, died Jan. 8 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are her husband, James DeMaio; a son, James Anthony DeMaio of Manalapan; a daughter, Suzanne Marie Hoos of Old Bridge; two brothers, Joseph Machlica of Pompton Beach, Fla., and Steve Machlica of Smithtown, N.Y.; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
COLLEEN CALVEY POHOPIN, 70, of Old Bridge, died Jan. 6 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, John "Bill" Pohopin, died in 1990. Surviving are a son, Michael Pohopin of Princeton; a daughter, Kathleen Pohopin of the Morganville section of Marlboro; her father, Michael Calvey of Pennsylvania; a sister, Salle Ann Clark; a grandson; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment
was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.
ROSE PETRENKO, 93, of Freehold Township died Jan. 7 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Born in Newark, she had lived in Hillside, Springfield and Lakewood before moving to Freehold Township two years ago. She was a telephone operator for New Jersey Bell for more than 30 years, retiring 28 years ago. She was a member of the National Czechoslovakian Society. She was predeceased by her husband, John, in 1993. She is survived by two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Irene and Henry Mihaly of Freehold Township, and Dorothy Petrenko of Lakewood; three nieces; two nephews; one grandniece; and three grandnephews. A graveside service was held at Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside.
ANGELA E. BUTLER, 82, of Manalapan died Jan. 8 at home. Born in Astoria, N.Y., she lived in Massapequa Park, N.Y., before moving to Manalapan in 1985. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1988. She is survived by three sons, William of Manhattan, N.Y., John of Carmel, N.Y., and Timothy of Forest Hills, N.Y.; two daughters, Pamela Bromann of Wheaton, Ill., and Peggy Feehan of Manalapan; a brother, Anthony Ragonesi of Chesterton, Md.; a sister, Frances Martino of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, Lincroft, followed by interment at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel.
