GLADYS ROSENSHINE, 81, of Lakewood died Dec. 20 at University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia. Born in New York, she had lived in Howell before moving to Lakewood 25 years ago. Mrs. Rosenshine was a bookkeeper for Howell Woodworking for 10 years before retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Pioneer Women of Toms River, the Deborah Heart and Lung Foundation, the Bocce Club and the Menorah Club of Original Leisure Village. She was predeceased by her husband, Aaron Rosenshine, in 1970. Mrs. Rosenshine is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Susan Rosenshine of the Clarksburg section of Millstone, and Rick and Kim Ross of Malibu, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Sybil and Michael Tartaro of Fairfax, Va.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Interment
was in Beth Olam Memorial Park, Lakewood.
HERBERT GROVER, 77, of Spotswood died Sept. 5 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He was predeceased by a son, Robert. Surviving are his wife, LaVerne Conover Grover; four sons, Herbert of South River, Thomas of Ashland, Mass., Jack of Milltown and Charles of Helmetta; two daughters, Sharon McGlynn of Helmetta and Mary Popielarski of East Windsor; two sisters, Mildred Boley of Sayreville and Carol Hoyda of the Fords section of Woodbridge; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment

MARION A. BOWERS COLLINS, 66, of East Brunswick died Sept. 3 at home. Her husband, James, died in 2000. Surviving are four sons, James Collins Jr. of East Brunswick, William and John O’Brien, both of Newport Beach, Calif., and Robert O’Brien of the Parlin section of Sayreville; two daughters, Christine Nardin of East Brunswick and Elizabeth Walsh of Howell; and three grandchildren. A service was held at Nativity of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, East Brunswick. Interment
was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
ZENA SUSKEVICH MACKO, 90, of South River died Sept. 6 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Frank J. Macko, died in 1993, and a daughter-in-law, Carole Macko, died in 2000. Surviving are two daughters, Nadine Warner of Bound Brook and Claudia Letizia of Sayreville; a son, Frank Macko of the Toms River section of Dover; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A service was held at Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment
was in the church cemetery.
SAMI ZAKI, 77, of East Brunswick died Aug. 27 in Madison Care Center, Old Bridge. Prior to his retirement in 1987, he was an accountant for three years at Sunshine Biscuit, Sayreville. His wife, Claire S. Guirguis Zaki, died in 2002. Surviving are a son, Hani of Lansdale, Pa.; two brothers, Samir of Boston and Dr. F. George Zaki of East Brunswick; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church, East Brunswick. Interment

EDMUND "PAT" ZONKOWSKI, 79, of Sayreville died Sept. 1 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are a sister, Beatrice Cseh Raab of East Brunswick, with whom he lived, and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment

EKRAM F. MANKABADI, 68, of Piscataway died Sept. 2 in JFK Medical Center, Edison. A daughter, Shirley Mankabadi, died in 2002. Surviving are his wife, Mary Mikhail Mankabadi; a son, Paul of Piscataway; a daughter, Nancy, also of Piscataway; a brother, Fayaz Mankabadi of Egypt; four sisters, Marsel Mankabadi and Annhar Mankabadi, both of Jersey City, and Evan Mankabadi and Ibtesam Mankabadi, both of Boston. Services were held at St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
WILLIAM M. SCUPP JR., 76, of New Brunswick, formerly of South River, died Sept. 5 in Old Bridge Manor. Prior to his retirement in 1985, he was a machine operator for 42 years with E.I. DuPont, Parlin section of Sayreville. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Holsworth Scupp; two sons, Glenn and Greg, both of Sayreville; two sisters, Dolores Myers and Eleanor Sears, both of South River; and a grandson. NICHOLAS RUSSO, 71, of Old Bridge died June 26 at home. He was a printer at C.C.L., Robbinsville, and at Avery Label. He served with the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 4815, and the Holy Name Society at St. Thomas Church, both Old Bridge, and a former member of Old Bridge Rescue Squad. Surviving are his wife, Marion Weiser Russo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Nicholas and Peggy Russo of Monroe, and Joseph and Karen Russo of Old Bridge; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and John Watkins of Piscataway, Jeannette and Daniel McGinley of Old Bridge, and Stephanie and Daniel Zykorie of Helmetta; three brothers, Anthony of North Brunswick, Philip of Franklin, and Carmen of Lavallette; two sisters, Frances Leppert of Manchester, and Rose Marie Kenney of Jupiter, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
LEONA V. OLSSON SALZMANN, 80, of East Brunswick, formerly of North Brunswick, died June 10 in Willow Creek Rehabilitation and Care Center, Somerset section of Franklin. Prior to her retirement in 1986, she was a special education teacher in the East Brunswick school district for 30 years. Surviving are her husband, Henry F. Salzmann; two daughters, Joan Slaght of Falls Church, Va., and Linda Salzmann of North Brunswick; a sister, Millicent VanPelt of Florida City, Fla.; a brother, Herbert P. Olsson of Bridgewater; and three grandsons. Services were held at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Interment
was in Evergreen Cemetery, North Brunswick.
