CHRISANNE CIANDELLA-MOTT, 70, of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, died Aug. 12 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Jersey City, she relocated to the area 36 years ago. She was a 1981 graduate of Cedar Ridge High School. She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Lynn Mott of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick; her father, Thomas Ciandella of Old Bridge; her sister, Lisa Uveges of Monmouth Junction; her brother, Thomas Ciandella Jr. of Mantua; and her niece and nephew.
LESLIE ALIX FOSTER CUILLA, 62, of East Brunswick, formerly of Milltown, died Aug. 21 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a paralegal with Frank T. Araps, North Brunswick, for three years. Surviving are her companion, Santo Livio; a son, Phillip of East Windsor; two daughters, Apryl Cuilla of East Brunswick and Jennifer Lieberman of South Brunswick; a sister, Dianne Layman of North Brunswick; and one granddaughter. ROBERT L. BROWN JR., 50, of Buffalo, N.Y., died Aug. 19 at home. Surviving are his mother, H. Janet Brown of Spotswood; three brothers, David Brown of Spotswood, Gregory S. Brown of North Brunswick and Scott Michael Brown of Jackson; two sisters, Nancy Newsome of Tuckerton and Diane Luden of the Browns Mills section of Pemberton; a brother-in-law, Thomas Newsome of Sayreville; and two nieces and four nephews. JOHN S. BALON JR., 58, of Maryland, formerly of Sayreville, died Aug. 20 in Hardford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, Md. JOHN MICHAEL BRADY, 69, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Aug. 21. Born in Brooklyn, he resided there his entire life. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Josephine Brady; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and John Olmstead of North Brunswick, and Kathleen and Neil Scognamiglio of Old Bridge; his son and daughter-in-law, John Robert and Kathy Brady of Malibu, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren. CHARLES ZARILLO, 96, of North Brunswick died Aug. 25 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New York City, he had been a resident of North Brunswick for the past 85 years. Mr. Zarillo was an ammunition inspector at the Raritan Arsenal, Edison, for 25 years, retiring in 1958. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Acapaci Zarillo, in 1987. He is survived by a daughter, Angela Corio of North Brunswick; a son, Anthony Zarillo of North Brunswick; four sisters, Theresa Varga, Lucille Bernard and Gloria Seckrettar, all of North Brunswick, and Josephine Inzetta of Deans; and one granddaughter. MARK J. DASHEVSKY, 27, of Bayonne, formerly of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, died Aug. 26 at Jersey City Medical Center. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Monmouth Junction before moving to Bayonne two years ago. Mr. Dashevsky was a salesman at Tower Water Management Co., Somerset. He was a communicant of St. Augustine of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church, Kendall Park section of South Brunswick. He was predeceased by two brothers, Brian Dashevsky in 1974 and Scott Dashevsky in 1994. He is survived by his parents, Roseann and Bruce Dashevsky of Monmouth Junction; a sister, Brianne Dashevsky of Monmouth Junction; his maternal grandmother, Sarah Nastus of North Brunswick; and his fiancée, Alyson Levinson of Bayonne. AUDREY C. POTTER, 85, of Trumbauersville, Pa., and formerly of North Brunswick, died Aug. 28 at Belle Haven Nursing Home, Quakertown, Pa. Born in North Brunswick, she resided there until 1984, and then in Maine before moving to Trumbauersville in 1993. Mrs. Potter was a member of the United Methodist Church, Milltown. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred J. Potter III, in 1973. She is survived by a son, Fred J. Potter IV of Trumbauersville; a brother, William F. Van Pelt Jr. of Florida City, Fla.; a sister, Lois L. Marki of Eustice, Fla.; and two granddaughters. Memorial donations may be made to the Trumbauersville Fire Department, Trumbauersville, PA 18970.
SHIRLEY SCHNEID WALSH, 79, of Hillsborough died Aug. 28 at Central New Jersey Jewish Home, Somerset. Born in New York City, she resided in South River for several years before moving to Hillsborough five years ago. Mrs. Walsh was an administrative assistant at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, where she was employed 25 years before retiring. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Walsh, in 1988. She is survived by two daughters, Stacey Puleio of North Brunswick and Nina D’Angelo of Hillsborough; a brother, Fred Schneid of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Sandy Levine of Long Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. KARL OTTO NEUREUTHER, 81, of North Brunswick died Aug. 29 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Oberdielbach, Germany, he resided in New Brunswick prior to moving to North Brunswick 30 years ago. Mr. Neureuther was a courier at the North Brunswick Board of Education for 19 years, retiring in 2001. Prior to that, he was a millwright at Triangle Conduit and Cable Co., North Brunswick, for 42 years. Mr. Neureuther is survived by two sons, George Neureuther of North Carolina and Allen Neureuther of Jamesburg; two sisters, Louise Webber of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Elsie Varga of Hunterdon County; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. was at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.
MARY BERGIN FREDETTE, 77, of Whiting died Sept. 1 at her son’s home in Interlaken. Born in Jersey City, she resided in South Amboy prior to moving to Whiting. Mrs. Fredette was a teacher at Barbara Roy Nursery School, South Amboy, for several years. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her husband, Martin E. Bergin, in 1969. She is survived by four sons, Kevin Bergin of South Brunswick, Martin E. Bergin of Medford, Gerard Bergin of Interlaken, and Paul W. Bergin of Middletown; a daughter, Maryanne Wetzel of Clifton; two brothers, Michael Hurley of Spring Lake Heights and William Hurley of Jersey City; two sisters, Sheila Justich of East Brunswick and Sister Margaret Hurley, S.S.J., of Jersey City; and 16 grandchildren.
