MARIAN HYER DANLEY, 86, of South River died May 24 in McCarrick Care Center, Somerset section of Franklin. Her husband, Walter Danley, died in 1983. Surviving are a son, Walter Danley of East Brunswick; a daughter, Bonnie Boettger of North Brunswick; two sisters, Evelyn Danley of South River and Madeline Meissner of Keyport; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment
was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.
JOSEPH J. KULAS, 85, of Sayreville died May 20 in Carriage House Manor, Sayreville. He was predeceased by his wife, Clair Obal Kulas, and a daughter, Sharon Ann Canonico. Surviving are two grandchildren, Richard Canonico and Christine Canonico, both of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; two nieces, Janice Starek of the Morganville section of Marlboro and Karen Marcason of North Brunswick; and many lifelong friends. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment
was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, also Sayreville.
JEANETTE RUTH ASHEN, 87, of North Brunswick died May 23 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Worcester, Mass., she resided in Carteret, New Brunswick, Roselle Park and Somerset prior to moving to North Brunswick in 1992. She was employed in retail sales until retirement. Prior to that, she and her late husband owned several night clubs such as The Silhouette Lounge and the Hangar Bar, Elizabeth; and The Sail Inn, Carteret. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Ashen in 1985. She is survived by three sons, Herschel Ashen and Jeffrey Ashen, both of North Brunswick, and Frank Ashen of New York City; two sisters, Faye Feinman of Ewing, and Maytee Mausner of Orange; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Interment
was at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
DAVID J. DALLAS, 49, died May 14 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he resided there prior to moving to North Brunswick 14 years ago. He was a mail handler at the U.S. Postal Service Kilmer Facility, Edison, the past 30 years. He served with the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Clark Moetz Post No. 2319, Milltown. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas J. Dallas in 2002. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Ruby Dallas of North Brunswick; his daughter and son, Kristina Dallas and David J. Dallas Jr., both at home; his mother, Doris Wedemeyer Dallas of New Brunswick; his brother, William R. Dallas of Brick; his sister, Deborah Dallas of Edison; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
JOHN F. HART, 75, of South Brunswick died May 8 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Sayreville, he resided in South River before moving to South Brunswick 30 years ago. He was an operator at Hercules, Parlin, for nine years, retiring in 1990. Prior to that, he worked at Carter-Wallace Inc., Cranbury, and Chicopee, Milltown, where he was employed for 27 years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Milltown. He served with the U.S. Army as a technician, 5th grade, during peacetime. He was a member of the Cruisin’ Knights of Monroe, and the Raritan Valley Mask and Fin Club. He was predeceased by a sister, Marcella Scully. He is survived by his wife, Emilie Sieczkowski Hart of South Brunswick; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John and Leona Hart of Perrineville, and Jeffry Hart of North Brunswick; two sisters, Irene Hart of Toms River, and Joan Carney of Bricktown; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. Interment
was at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.
GRACE De LUCA, 79, of North Brunswick died May 11 at home. Born in Linden, she resided in North Brunswick for the past 56 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. She was a former member of the North Brunswick Democratic Club. She is survived by her husband, Frank De Luca of North Brunswick; three daughters, Carmella Davin and Toni Rieder, both of Chandler, Ariz., and Grace Freeman of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; two sons, Samuel De Luca and Frank De Luca, both North Brunswick; her brother, Carmen Costa of North Brunswick; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held May 15 at 8:15 a.m. at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9 a.m. at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will be at Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum, North Brunswick.
THOMAS E. CAMPBELL, 60, of North Brunswick died May 5 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Philadelphia, he resided in North Brunswick since 1970. He was a production planner at Chicopee Manufacturing Co., New Brunswick, for 25 years, retiring in 1994. He was a communicant of St. Augustine of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church, Kendall Park section of South Brunswick. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 6345. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Scott Campbell of North Brunswick; his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ronald Vitale of Ardmore, Pa.; his son, Thomas C. Campbell of Piscataway; his mother, Marie Campbell of Upper Darby, Pa.; four sisters, Marie Breslin of Clifton Heights, Pa., Eileen McDougall of Grants Pass, Ore., Judith Ramos of Upper Darby, and Patricia Millard of Norwood, Pa.; and two brothers, Robert Campbell of Audubon, Pa., and Steven Campbell of Clifton Heights. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, Kendall Park. Burial was at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. JOHN R. DONNELLY, 81, of North Brunswick died May 9 at home. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in North Brunswick the past 57 years. He was a road foreman at Sheet Metal Workers Union Local No. 27, New Brunswick, for 56 years, prior to retirement. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He joined the Civilian Conservation Corps at age 16 and worked on the Shasta Dam, Redding, Calif. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Barnett Donnelly of North Brunswick; two daughters and one son-in-law, Patricia Donnelly, and Kathleen and Donald Salzmann, all North Brunswick; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John and Marlene Donnelly of Butler, and Bruce Donnelly of Missouri; three sisters, Marge Pardun and Rita Oross of Edison, and Alice W. King of Millington, Md.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
LEONORA ANNA KNOX, 78, of Matawan died May 3 at Madison Center, Matawan. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in South Brunswick and Spotswood for 25 years prior to moving to Matawan. Mrs. Knox was a cook at Carter Wallace, Cranbury, for 10 years, retiring in 1988. Prior to that, she was a cook at Howard Johnson’s, Jamesburg. She was a member of Fresh Ponds Chapel, South Brunswick. Mrs. Knox was predeceased by her husband, Peter B. Knox, in 1969. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Leonora and Randall Dey of Matawan; three sons and daughters-in-law, Luke J. and Fay Knox of Spotswood, Peter and Toni Knox Jr. of Edison, and James E. and Debbie Knox of North Brunswick; six sisters, Althea Pearce of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen, Dorothy Schwartz of Dunellen, Fla., Marjorie Koon of Jacobstown, Marlene Jegou of Milltown, Marilyn Hall of Whitehouse Station, and Wilma Tallman of Syracuse, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Interment

NICHOLAS CAPOROSSI, 74, of East Brunswick died April 28 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Sophie Cozzolino Caporossi; three sons, Paul Caporossi of Herndon, Va., James Caporossi of Highland Park and Nicholas Caporossi of South Brunswick; a daughter, Annemarie Bartlett of Troy, Mich.; a brother, Andrew Caporossi of Queens, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
