SHEILA R. GOLDSTEIN ROSEN, 59, of East Brunswick died Jan. 4 in Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York City. She was employed as an office manager and bookkeeper for the past nine years at Consolidated Distribution Services, Dayton section of South Brunswick. Prior to that, she was a bookkeeper for 17 years at All Star Rental, East Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Warren Rosen; two daughters, Ronda Strelecki of Milltown and Beth Watson of Wall Township; a sister, Harriet Chodash of Jackson; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment

LYNN SCATURRO, 46, of Marlboro, formerly of Sayreville, died Dec. 29 at home. Surviving are her husband, Robert Pommerencke; her parents, Charles and Arlene Scaturro of Spotswood; five sisters, Carol Scaturro of the Somerset section of Franklin, Jan Marie Hillyer and Reyne Scaturro, both of Spotswood, and Melany Scaturro and Mary Beth Scaturro, both of North Brunswick; her grandmother, Marie Eagles of Rochester, N.Y.; and many nephews and nieces. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment was in Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick. JOSEPHINE CHOLEWA CALANDRILLA, 85, of Jackson, formerly of Sayreville, died Jan. 2 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Calandrilla. Surviving are a son, Stanley Pietrowicz, with whom she lived; a granddaughter, Suzanne Castineira; and two sisters, Mary Granit and Frances Putnocky, both of North Brunswick. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Entombment was in Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
KEVIN R. McNAMARA, 42, of Ocean Grove died Jan. 11 at home. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in North Brunswick before moving to Ocean Grove more than one year ago. He served with the North Brunswick police force for 12 years, retiring in 1994 as a sergeant. He was an honors graduate of Middlesex County Police Academy, where he was employed as its youngest instructor following graduation. He was president of the North Brunswick Policemen’s Benevolent Association, was a founder of the North Brunswick Police Department’s Emerald Society, and also assisted with its Project Children. He served as a United States delegate for humanitarian efforts in Cuba. He was an avid volunteer, serving as project manager for the Unitarian Society and rebuilding burned churches in the South, as well as working with the Lakota Native Americans in South Dakota. He also worked with the Maya Indians in the Yucatan Peninsula. He is survived by his wife, Eve Bartczak of Ocean Grove; his parents, Joanne and Thomas J. McNamara of North Brunswick; his sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Ken Swedler of Hillsborough; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Rana McNamara of Philadelphia, and Brian and Dottie McNamara of Flemington; his in-laws, Romana and Bronislaw Bartczak of North Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Jan. 16 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Selover Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. REGINA "JEAN" MATISTIC SOTAK, 70, of Milltown died Jan. 8 at home. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she was employed for 18 years as a paralegal at Chicago Title Co., East Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Leo Sotak; a son, Paul Sotak of Milltown; and a brother, John Matistic of North Brunswick. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. ANTHONY M. GRECO SR., 61, of East Brunswick, formerly of Old Bridge, died Jan. 1 at home. He was a life member of the Madison Park Fire Department, Old Bridge, where he served as first assistant chief, second assistant chief, captain and treasurer. Surviving are his wife, Theresa V. Adamkiewicz Greco; two daughters, Ann-Marie Kampo of Mansfield Township and Michele Alvarez; two sons, Anthony M. Greco Jr. of Spotswood and Raymond J. Greco of Old Bridge; two sisters, Geraldine Pereira and Mary Ann McCusker, both of Houston; a brother, John Greco, also of Houston; six grandchildren; and his former wife, Carol Greco of Old Bridge. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Cremation was private. J. TRAVIS PECK, 20, of South River died Jan. 4 in South River. He was a member of the South River High School class of 2000. He played on the high school golf team, where he lettered for four years and was most valuable player for two years. Surviving are his parents, J. Kevin and Elke S. Peck; a brother, Justin of South River; a sister, Kirsten of Monroe; his paternal grandparents, John F. Peck Jr. and Barbara M. Peck of Lake Ariel, Pa.; his maternal grandmother, Hilde Strobel of Manahawkin; and several aunts, uncles and nephews. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. KATHRYN SHUBERDA WEIS, 94, of East Brunswick died Dec. 31 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement in 1969, she was employed as the cafeteria manager at Memorial School, East Brunswick, where she worked for 20 years. Her husband, Charles N. Weis, died in 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce M. Weis of Crestone, Colo.; three sons, Charles D. Weis of East Brunswick, Gerald J. Weis of McKinney, Texas, and retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. John R. Weis of Burke, Va.; a sister, Blanche Grobleski of East Brunswick; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment

RUTH HOPE, 89, of Freehold Township died Jan. 12 at home. Her husband, Albert J. Hope, died in 1989, and a grandson, R. Michael Hope, died in 1997. Surviving are two sons, William J. Hope of Howell and James A. Hope of Manasquan; a daughter, Ruth Ann Piatowski of Freehold Township; a brother, John Henzler of Monroe; four sisters, Catherine Dye of Hightstown, Helen Jemison of Monroe and Irene Archer and Janet McKnight of the Whiting section of Manchester Township; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
