DANIEL DeDONNO, 80, of Middletown died June 12 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Fairlawn before moving to Middletown 44 years ago. Mr. DeDonno was a butcher for 50 years, as well as the owner and operator of Dan’s Meat Market, Farmingdale, for 25 years before retiring in 1983. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II, attaining the rank of platoon sergeant and earning the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 2179, Port Monmouth section of Middletown. Mr. DeDonno was predeceased by his wife, Teresa Dalli DeDonno, in 1999; and a grandson, Salvatore DeDonno Jr., in 1976. He is survived by two sons, Louis DeDonno of Middletown and Salvatore DeDonno of Port Monmouth; three daughters, Cosma Chiappetta and Isabel Pluhar, both of Middletown, and Danielle DeDonno of Red Bank; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth, followed by entombment at Fair View Mausoleum, Middletown.

STANLEY J. KLIMUSZKO, 73, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died June 1 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Prior to his retirement in 1998, he was employed as a painter at Sunshine Biscuit, Sayreville, where he worked for 40 years. Surviving are his wife, Beatrice Dwyer Klimuszko; two sons, Joseph Klimuszko of Parlin and Steven Klimuszko of Tinton Falls; a daughter, Jane Maciorowski of Burlington; two brothers, Frank and Henry Klimuszko, both of Florida; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Entombment was in Cloverleaf Memorial Park Mausoleum, Woodbridge.

ROBERT M. HOURAHAN, 68, of Princeton died June 12 at John L. Montgomery Care Center, Freehold. Born in South Amboy, he resided in Morristown, and the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township before moving to Princeton. Mr. Hourahan was a manager at Jersey Central Power & Light Co., Morristown and Allenhurst, for more than 30 years before retiring. He was a former member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, South Amboy. His activities included volunteering at Princeton Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife, Roberta Brylinski Hourahan, in 1986; a son, Michael Hourahan, in 1991; and a brother, Neil Hourahan, in 1998. He is survived by four sons, Brian Hourahan, Bruce Hourahan, Timothy Hourahan and Christopher Hourahan; a daughter; Michele Zdanowski; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Mary’s Church, followed by interment at Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 400 Morris Ave., Denville 07834.

W. BRYAN LEVIC, 32, of Oceanport died June 8 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Monmouth Beach, he was a lifelong resident of the area. Mr. Levic was a construction worker. He was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, West End section of Long Branch. He was a graduate of Shore Regional High School, West Long Branch, and a member of the Long Branch Elks No. 742. Mr. Levic is survived by his parents, Terry Cyzewski and Wayne C. Levic of Oceanport; and two brothers, James Levic of Florida, and Peter Levic of New Hampshire. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, West End. Interment was at Glenwood Cemetery, West Long Branch.

DOROTHY BURDEN, 90, of Middletown, died June 8 at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel. Born in Bloomfield, she resided in Belleville prior to moving to Middletown 47 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Burden in 1987. She is survived by five sons and four daughters-in-law, Roy and Kristina Burden of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, Charles and Mary Lou Burden of Red Bank, Kenneth and Mary Burden of the Lincroft section of Middletown, William and Anna Burden of the Leonardo section of Middletown, and Vincent Burden of Asbury Park; her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and William Borden of Point Pleasant; her sister, Marion Hull of Clifton; her sister-in-law, Irene Schleicher of Toms River; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.

JOSEPH G. AMECANGELO, 58, of Tinton Falls died June 7 at Hahnemann Medical Center, Philadelphia, after complications following a kidney transplant. He was born and raised in Red Bank. Mr. Amecangelo was the owner of Charter One Leasing, Red Bank. Prior to that, he was vice president at W&J Sloan Furniture Co., Red Bank. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. His activities included golf, reading and music, and he performed with several local bands throughout New Jersey. He was predeceased by his father, Chris L. Amecangelo, in 1997. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Angela M. Amecangelo of Tinton Falls; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Karen Amecangelo of Middletown; two daughters, Krista Amecangelo and Leigh-Anne Amecangelo, both Red Bank; his mother, Ida Amecangelo of Red Bank; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Alan Zaleski of Middletown; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church.

JAMES J. BONNER, 84, of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet, died June 8 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Edison prior to moving to West Keansburg 15 years ago. He was a process operator at Exxon, Bayonne, for 22 years, retiring 30 years ago. He was a communicant of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg, and member of the Holy Name Society at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Jersey City. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2179, Port Monmouth section of Middletown. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary "Mae" Gillen in 1983. He is survived by two daughters, Mary Dawson of Middletown, and Peggy Tivald Dauber of Edison; five sons, James Bonner Jr. of Lynchburg, Va.; Lawrence Bonner of Hazlet; Eugene Bonner of Cecil, Pa.; and Kenneth Bonner and Michael Bonner, both of Edison; and 19 grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. Burial was at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.

RICHARD DECKERT APPLEGATE, 81, of Keyport died June 13 at home. Born in Keyport, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Applegate was a linotype operator at Albert Cowling Printing, Union Beach, the Bayshore News, and Keyport Weekly, Keyport, before his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Poling Applegate of Keyport; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Patricia Applegate; a granddaughter; and three great-grandsons. Visitation will be held April 18 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service is scheduled for June 19 at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis National Society, Mid-Jersey Chapter, 1500 Lawrence Ave., Ocean Township 07712.

JAMES P. DENTON, 76, formerly of Marlboro, died March 27 at Martha Jefferson Hospital, Charlottesville, Va. Born in Memphis, Tenn., he lived in New York City and in Sayreville before moving to Marlboro. He moved to Charlottesville in 1980. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Dock Builders Local No. 1456 and a retired employee of New York City. In Marlboro he was a scoutmaster for years, a member and officer of the Marlboro American Legion, member and chairman of the Marlboro Industrial Committee and active in the Marlboro Democratic Club. He was also a member of the Monmouth County Election Board. In Charlottesville, he was active with the Charlottesville Senior Center, a senior investment club, a computer club, and the Charlottesville Elks Club No. 389. He was predeceased by a brother, David Byron Denton. He is survived by his wife, Mary Evelyn Thomas Denton; three sons, James Thomas Denton, George Byron Denton and Blake Oren Denton; six grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. Memorial donations may be made to the Charlottesville Rescue Squad.

ARLEEN R. BELLERAN CAPATI, 62, of Union Beach died June 10 at Manasquan. Born in Union Beach, she was a lifelong resident. She was the supervisor of sterile processing at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, for 10 years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond S. Capati in 2002. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise Capati-Mellody and Michael Mellody of New York City, and Michele and Cliff Brenner of Manasquan; two brothers, Vincent Belleran of Union Beach, and Francis Belleran of Holmdel; two sisters, Joan Fitzgerald of Union Beach, and Mary Jane Gallery of Hazlet; and two grandsons. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Interment was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.
